Posts: 1Just curious, in a place like Centaurus, what percentage of the girls speak some conversational English? How about at other termas?
Thanks

Went to Cancun on Wednesday at about 9PM to take advantage of the 40 Reais entry fee (Monday and Friday are actually a better deal as on Monday the 60 Reais admission is waived if you do a program and on Friday you get 60 Reais worth of food and drinks for the 60 Reais entry fee). The club was dead, maybe 5-6 guys, and 10-12 girls, in the lounge. Girls were nothing special and not worth 290 Reais for an hour. Waited for an hour to see if better ones would show up but none did. Asked one girl who came over and spoke to me how many girls there were and she said about 50-60. Since they obviously weren't in the lounge, I asked her if they were in the Whiskeria downstairs. She said yes, so I checked with the reception desk if I could go down to the Whiskeria without paying the 30 Reais entrance fee there. She said yes. I also asked her what was the difference between the Whiskeria and the terma, and she said the only difference was that the terma entrance was 10 Reais more because you could use the sauna facilities. Since the wet sauna was dangerously hot (I had to leave after a minute) and the dry sauna was not even warm (if it was even working) , there is no reason to do the terma instead of the Whiskkeria if you go.
I went downstairs and entered the Whiskeria. There were even fewer women here, maybe 6, and just two tables occupied by customers. It was, if possible, even deader than the lounge upstairs. When I sat down, the waitress started hassling me about having to pay another entrance fee. I showed her my exit card from upstairs and told her I was told I didn't have to pay. This went on for a minute or two, and then she left, perhaps to consult with somebody. I decided to leave, since there weren't any girls that looked doable except for maybe one blonde, but she was wearing a dress (a bad sign) and the lighting was so poor I couldn't really see her face, but by this time I was pissed off and could not be bothered to find out what she looked like. As I was leaving, three girls were at the door trying to get a taxi because of the rain, so they apparently gave up too. If you're going to go, you should get there early.
In short, a waste of 40 Reais. Save your money and don't bother going.

Posts: 15925Brazil, a stronger economy? And what did they do to obtain that? The products and services are still just as shitty as they have always been. The astronomical import taxes? That is not a sign of a country with a strong economy. The only difference is that the rich are getting richer due to these games. The poor are still just as poor. But sure if you are looking at it on a macro level then the numbers may tell you the place is booming, but that doesn't speak to the individual level. I'm also of the opinion that after these games that shit will come crashing down.

I'm very happy for Brazil that they have a stronger economy, better living conditions, less poor people, bolsa familia etc. A lot of good changes have been made (and there are a still a lot to do).
From a mongers egoistic view you could say it was better in the old days. The economy had a lot of problems, inflation, weak real, much more poor people and bad living conditions. Many more women had to seek prostitution as a solution to their problems.
