Yes there are termas Copa I'm not a Rio expert but have been there a few times. One of the more popular and easiest to find is Monte Carlo on rua Hilario near Avenue Atlantico (the avenue that runs along the beach) Go to the corner of Atlantico and Rua Hilario its along the northern end of Copa, just a few paces in before you get to the corner on your left hand side you will see a big black awning with the words Monte Carlo Hotel on it right next to it on the other side you will see a much smaller black awning with nothing written on it. This will be Monte Carlo Casino there will be a couple door guys in black Monte Carlo shirts standing outside the door. Simply go up stairs and ask for Robbie Douglas. (Just joking the manager (I think hes the manager) who speaks good English (most of the girls who work behind the desk also speak English) looks like the grown up Robbie Douglas from the old "my three sons" TV series from the 60's. I told him that and he said the Americans always tell him that). A lower cost terma is also on the same block but on the other side of the block. Simply walk past Monte Carlo up to the corner and turn left go down almost to the end of the corner and on your right you will see a small black awning with the number 22 written on it. This is Terma 22 a little more rustic lower cost mostly locals with some attractive girls but not the silicone or other enhancements you may find in some of the bigger name termas like Monte Carlo.

Mabs is the restaurant it is just a few block farther north from Monte Carlo on Avenue Atlantico. Its an outdoor restaurant where you can fulfill your stomachs appetite and your sexual appetite. Personally I liked the food there and had dinner there just about every night. Freelancers work there and most go for 200 R for the hour. During the day time there may be one or two available but most don't start showing up until 6 or 7 and it really doesn't get going until after 10. Mabs closes between 3 and 4 am. Personally I like the freelancer scene and Mabs was my favorite place to pick up women when I was in Rio. After 10 pm there are a few freelancers / street girls on Avenue Atlantico on the north end of Copa near Mabs. Not a large number maybe a dozen or so spread out in groups of one or two or three. Many are trannys and many are over the hill but there are a few diamonds and I have taken a few girls from here and have always had a good time with them and most will go for 100 R. Don't let any of these girls approach you or get to close to you especially the trannys because they will try to pick pocket you.

I would not take a taxi to Centro and 4 x 4 I would suggest you use the subway from Copa to Centro. Its cheaper and depending upon the time of day much faster. Simply exit Uruguaiana in centro you will come up at Uruguaiana and President Vargas avenue walk east along President Vargas Avenue for one block to Rio Bronco and turn right walk one block to Buenos Aries and turn left 4 X4 will be on your left had side before you reach the corner. Along Rio Bronco right before you get to Buenos Aries on your right hand side you will see what looks like a little ally or narrow street one door in from the corner there will be a black awning with very faded 502 written on it. This will be terma 502 where the cost is cheaper and there are in my opinion a good selection of girls. Here you will not need to change into a rob but can keep your close on. If you walk past 4 X 4 and go to the end of the corner and turn left down about two or three blocks on your right had side you will see a black awning with 81 written on it. This will be terma 81 an even lower cost terma that does have some attractive women in my opinion but the place is pretty rustic.

I personally enjoyed spending time in Monte Carlo in Copa and 4 x 4 in Centro and had a crazy time in each but both are a little pricey compared to the other options that I mentioned. But my favorite was always spending my late evenings at Mabs and picking up freelancers. There are many other little nook and cranny places around Copa, Centro and other places in Rio that others on here would be able to tell you about, I personally found the paces that made me happy and stuck to them. One last thing, I hope you are renting an apartment and not getting a hotel. Most hotels will not let you bring a girl in or will charge as much to bring her in as you are paying her for her services.

Today, Friday I had my first visit back to Vila Mimosa in two years. It hasn't changed much. Pretty raucous and grubby. Went looking for the "gems". Depends on your budget and your taste.

Gringos go to Monte Carlo-rua hilario. Less than Centaurus and Solarium but still expensive by Rio standards.

Youll be droppin 600 for an hour in the room incl entrance.

Heading to Rio (recerios) for the first time right away, I would really like to partake! But I'm quite new to this hobby and have no clue how things work down there. Any help, guidance or advice would be appreciated! I would like to cross off a beautiful Brazilian off my bucket list.

Well Yes I like how the Brazilian men train there women. Its nothing like the USA or the Western tradition where you have to go on dates, If you like a girl you can be direct and have sex the same night. I know a few veterans that put me on to Brazil, told me to learn Portuguese and my world will open up especially with Non-Pros and even Pros will love you a lot more. I can understand there frustration as its boring to be with a English Speaking Gringo. Communication is Key. I remember when I went to the Philippines, It was one of the best mongering trips because the Girls Speak English, Its does make a huge difference as you can have a more connection on a human level.
