When you look at food / sex, you have to look at it from the standpoint of logistics of the local girls. Take the 315 bus from central to recreio, and it goes right past: posto 10 where casauarina and na brasa Colombia recreio are on glauco gil, and right past the house of the MMA king of Brazil and the world, and the best real estate in Brazil IMHO, along with the best ass, at paris.

Here are 5 great food / sex combinations which are best in world. I will set up some of these events this week.

1. Metro Jardim Oceanico: Na brasa Colombia, Olegario Maciel / Perola Negra in Barra, Posto 1. (Na Brasa Colombia is also in Botafogo, Copa, Recreio).

You can expect to pay $250 all in. $160 for salmao na brasa, or my favorite, filet de peixe bel munier, for enough to serve 2. Again, I recommend the limonade suisse. The salada caprese is excellent. Everything is good. Locations all over Rio, including Botafogo, Copa, Recreio. Botafogo is the original, and it is located at the top of the social economic food chain (Exec Talent will hate me for saying that). Again, that's $50 US Dollars, which is not all that much in the rich world, $250 reais is a few fucks in Rio, so it is valuable consideration.

OK, all that said, what it is harder to get in those rich world venues you mention like LA or NYC is cheap, good, super hot Carioca pussy. That's the point. The top tier food and top tier hoar combination goes a long, long way towards being about all that a man wants in life -- the 6 s's -- shit, shower, shave, supper, sex, sleep.

2. Metro Uruguiana: Prive Darkroom / Centro Termas / Cais do Oriente, (close to 4 x 4 too, excellent food).

Cais do Oriente (where I ate today with two ISGers), the excellent prixe fixe menu is $70 reais plus beverage (I recommend the limonade suisse). That's $14 US Dollars. For a 3 course meal. 100 meters from 4 x4 and 65.

Aconchega Carioca, top dish there is a pumpkin stuffed with shrimp, $200 reais.

The thing about classy joints in Rio like Marius or some super-duper sushi places (Sushi Leblon or something) is they're costly as fuck, just like upscale restaurants in NY or LA. I mean there is nothing wrong about it, but living in NYC I don't find gorging on finer food in Rio all that alluring. I highly recommend Lima for an incredible culinary journey on the cheap, but that's a totally different story, LOL.

I ate at Marius less than 2 months ago with an ISGer from Italy, and it was $250 r. It's a once a month or quarter spectacular meal for those who love seafood, like me.

I will add, Cafe Marambaia in Guaratiba has the best paella I have ever had.

Cais do Oriente has become kind of a go to for centro mongering, as I was yesterday with two ISGers.

The bigger point, and the point of this thread is that Senor Anaggie and Senor Mr E were saying that all the brazilian chow is similar. I'm just saying that there is some really good eating choices near the thing that makes Rio and Brazil unique -- the sex, which is the point of this board, after all.

Senor Bonhead had some recommendations in Humaita, as did Senor Bach123 in Leblon.

I take Senor Anaggie's point that there are perhaps even better restaurants, and women, in SP, but at a higher cost, and without the beach / waterfall hiking combinations which make Rio geographically unique. Its a matter of personal taste, like the Copa / Barra debate being whether you prefer Times Square (copa) or Miami and safety (Barra); SP, I know well too, but its just that I prefer actually swimming in the ocean, while also having a sex menu which is completely full from top to bottom tier, all colors, and for that Rio and Barra is optimal, perhaps a little like the Cartegena of the Marquez novels.

And without meaning any disrespect or harm whatsover, I will suggest that some of those novellas, like Memories of my melancholy working girls by Marquez, might be a good antidote to Brazil Withdrawal Syndrome; I realize that much of what this particular board is is actually just reminicences by men who are not in Rio, and who can only spend a small percentage of their time in Rio due to their circumstances.

If you want real carioca the gema tier 1 food look for Casuarina (in Recreio and now in Botafogo) or Na Brasa Colombia (original in Botafogo, and now in Recreio, Barra, Copa.).

Friday Night Lights.

Vagabundo got a text and call from Vagabundo #2 out here in Recreio at 20 h or so. Vagabundo 2 is a Swiss Navy Veteran who picked an apartment out here in recreio, and Vagabundo followed in trace with a 1 year lease whereas Vagabundo 2 is on a 30 month lease. The apartments are big. The location is optimal due to the property bang for the buck. Vagabundo has like 2 regular bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a maids room that could be a office, a big living room with like recessed red stripper lights obviously installed by the owner paratrooper who is a little bit of a character, and a real kitchen, a washing machine, and a real balcony.

OK, so we uber over to Perla, have dinner at Guacamole first, and then I locate a loira who gives up her pussy bare, and it's on. 350 r for 40 minutes 50 r for the bare vagina, and a nice ride, a good way to blow off some steam. I have said before that my girlfriend's son used to work at a slaughterhouse. He said they butcher 200 heads per day. The good meat they send to the USA and Europe and the bad meat they keep in Brazil. I have never had any good meat at one of those churrascos (or from the grocery store in Brazil). As a matter of fact, last week I ate at a Brazilian churrasco in Kenya (Fogo Gaucho) and the meat was way better than it is in Brazil.

In the meantime, here is a short guide for our brothers who haven't yet tried the 8th Wonder of the World, which is an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse.

Just to be clear this is for newbies, not experts or residents.

1. When you hear words rodizio and churrascaria, it basically means the same thing: all-you-can-eat buffet with waiters circling your table with different meat cuts.

2. The first thing you must remember is that a Churrascaria is a business. They want to keep everyone happy and yet spend as little money as possible. How? By serving you loads and loads of inferior meats.

3. Good things come to those who wait. If you really want to get some quality meats -- and you must because you're paying American / European prices -- you'll have to say Nao Obrigado muitos vezes. Otherwise, you'll quickly find yourself totally full, out of breath and completely fucked by your friendly and smiling meat carver. Look at Brazilian customers at the tables around you. They aren't rushing anywhere.

4. Here are the most important words to remember: Picanha, Alcatra, and Fraldinha, or prime top sirloin, top sirloin and bottom sirloin. I personally love Fraldinha better than the other two, but that's because I'm strange and different. Most prefer Picanha, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

5. File mignon? Fuck file mignon. In Brazil file mignon is not what you think. It's just a decent cut of meat, which can be quite tough, though.

6. I also like lamb cuts. All kind of them. When I hear carneiro, the happiness is there. Almost rhymes.

7. Ribs are called costelas. Costela for beef ribs and costela de carneiro for lamb.

8. I also like chicken hearts (coracoa de frango) and chicken liver (whatever it's called, you'll know it when you see it).

9. You can write these words down on a piece of paper, so your server could see it. That's all it takes, no Portuguese necessary.

10. I have a rule. If I don't get the meat I want after 5 waiter rounds or 15 minutes, I'll tell them to bring me some of the stuff I want. It always worked for me in Brazil.

11. What to do in the meantime? Their buffets are fabulous. Some people forgo buffets. They work on a concept of stuffing themselves with as much meat as humanly possible. I don't know. I just gorge on delicious food.

I was in Mabs last night looking for something relatively early at midnight, I didn't want to wait for Dolce Vita to get busy. I sat down at a table ordered a beer, the place was pretty crowded, the selection of girls was mixed in the lineup. There were a few dark skinned girls very tall sleek legs and dressed very nice, they weren't pushy. During my time there 4 girls came over and sat at my table. So I found out I'm near the surfing zone in Ipanema. Our place we rented is spectacular and I can see almost what the surfers are wearing but not quite. But we are close to the beach - 1 block away. I went up and down the entire beach just checking out the local flavor. Good 2 hour walk.

Made a phone call to one of the sites and had a girl here in under an hour. She was fantastic and spoke fair english. We needed to google translate a couple of times but not bad. She said she is taking private English lessons. The boss offered to have 2 girls (her friend) come over but I chose just one to test the waters. They will both be coming over at some point but I'm going to take today to visit Centaurus or Monte Carlo I think. I am only a few blocks apparently from Centaurus. Looks like 4 x4 is closed on weekends (weird) so we will go Monday out last day here.

This would be my choice for the best mall eaterie in town, but this is not an all you can eat type of place. When I went there with this girl the head waiter set us up in a very private booth where we drank wine and fooled around with each other plenty over dinner. I had a great time and it is a great restaurant!

But my 2 favorite steak houses in RJ are over in Leblon: one is called Giuseppe Grill and it is a real 1st class steak joint. If you want to impress a girl or just want to have a great dinner, go to this place. It is not all you can eat steak joint either.

The other place that I am really fond of is CT Boucherie Steak House on Rua Dias Ferreira, 636 in Leblon. CT is a small store front restaurant that serves high quality steaks to order and customers are offered 7 or 8 sides all freshly prepared at no additional cost. You don't get 1 side, you get as many you want! The sides keep on coming until you are through. It is a great informal place to go and I like it a lot.

Here is a tip on churrascaria style all you can eat steakhouses: when you plate is full of meats, flip the coin from green to red to signal you are in pause mode. When you are done with the meats on plate at hand, flip the coin back to green and a bell boy will remove your old plate and give you a new one. Then the waiters will come on by with cuts to try. And keep flipping the coin until you can't eat another bite. LOL. That is the problem with the churrascaria style places and why I prefer steakhouses where I can order just one cut of beef that I prefer plus a side or two and not indulge in overeating. But that's my personal taste. If you have never done a churrascaria style steakhouse, go to Mocellin Steakhouse and enjoy the feast.

I was surprised I even had room left for dessert LOL! I'm like you. I prefer not to indulge in overeating. But as you say, if you're one who's never done the all the meat you can eat thing, then definitely go for it at least once. You'll never forget the experience that's for sure!

I think it is the ambiance is more comfortable like the A/C, not the food. One can often find them and other chain restaurants in the malls. It's like when I go to one of this places I would choose an Brazilian one, not an American one. The locals just do the same as me which is the opposite choice.
