Rio became a pain in the ass with non-pros because the gringo sex scene gave women seen with Western men a bad reputation.

I'm a bit too old to chase teenage and twentysomething non-pros now. I have to think that now that Help Disco and the whole Avenida Atlantica sex scene has basically been shutdown you can find non-pros more receptive to flirtation.

I do not think so. Maybe around 2010-2013 when Brazil Economy was good. But in 2018 with Brazil in Recession almost any girl is up for grabs unless she is a upper class rich Brazilian. Last Year I fucked a world famous Brazilian funk singer and I had her in my apartment for about 600 Reals for the night. The BBC did a documentary on her in 2015 when they were talking about the upcoming Brazilian Olympics. I had one of the girls in the 4 x 4 Termas hook me up with her and I gave her 150 Real as a tip for the setup meeting. I know you might say 600 Real is expensive but this girl was a true dime. I'm talking smoking 10. When she came to my apartment, The Whole Block was staring at her. But to make a long story short. It gave me a lot of confidence. Because if you have a funk singer that is somewhat semi famous in the Funk Scene, willing to give up her ass for some dollars.

Any typical Brazilian chick will do it in Brazil's current economic climate. I would suggest when trying to find non-pros, Either Learn Portuguese or hire a female and give her a nice tip and let her be your scout for you to find women. My Success Rate is a lot higher when I have a Brazilian female contact another female and setup a meeting for me. I Guess Brazilian women feel more comfortable and safer with another Brazilian women, Then when I'm trying to setup things as a gringo. I usually get more flakes, where as with a women its almost 90% success rate.

But I'm heading to Brazil around the first week of November so I will give you guys updates on the Brazil mongering scene.

Well, what I call low level mongers are lazy. They have no sense of adventure and are reluctant to take risks. They cluster to places like Pattaya, Sosua and the German FKKs. It seems some base their entire mongering experience on those places, the well beaten path for the point-and-click experience. Some of us are more adventurous and revel in walking into a dark compound and towards the glow of a fishbowl, like moths to a light. No risk, no reward.

Very true. Reminds me of a time I was in St. Petersburg Russia at a well known disco free lancer hangout and it was not happening that night. I met a Finn who was visiting and he asked me if there were other places. I took him to a salon I knew of which was a typical SPB salon in an old building with a walk up to the 4th floor. The front door was slightly busted, the stairwells were unkempt, and on this occasion the entire stairwell lighting system was completely out, so it was pitch dark and I had to guide us up the stairs using my cell phone lantern. The Finn was pretty much in shock, he said to me "You Americans are frontier people", and it took me a while to understand he was saying "frontier", not "frontier". But it was worth it. After climbing the 4 flights we were ushered into the brilliantly like salon with about 15 girls waiting for us.

I don't think Brazil was ever that easy. I think you might be comparing it to places like Colombia, Thailand, Philippines, the Dominican Republic etc. You might be looking for a "fish in a barrel" environment.

Depending on your physical attractiveness, 32 is a very good age. A hot, 19 year old Brasileira is not going to have an issue going with a man in his thirties and even older. As a general rule, I found that if a Brazilian knew some English, she was curious about Western / American men. By the 2000's, I had much better success hooking up with Brazilian girls at clubs in Sao Paulo and secondary cities. Was in Mabs last Friday, we have met 3 girls from Belo Horizonte Brenda (many tattoos), Giovanna, and Anna they will be in Rio till Friday, very nice and cute I recommand them only problem 400 reals !!! As we had not time to discuss prices we said ok.
Was also friday night in Dolce vita around 11 pm empty !!!!

A common theme over several ISG threads is guys not liking or not willing to negotiate. How about one of you mongering gurus providing some details for a change? Maybe on how you learned Portuguese so well? Or, where specifically you have gone to meet women and your success stories with details.

Agree with all of this. And I would add that having a poor grasp of Portuguese isn't the hindrance it once was. Most Termas now allow clients to bring their cell phones into the club. You don't have to hide them anymore. With Google translate, having a conversation with a GDP who doesn't speak your language is much easier than it used to be. Yeah, it sucked when Help closed and the semi-pros are harder to find. But Brazil is still the best destination for our little hobby, imo. Next week I'll be taking my fifth trip this year.

100% total agreement. Its all about putting in the effort. IMO the situation is improving all the time for those that are able to adapt.

I'm not sure that's a fair statement. However, it's true that the monger scene in Rio has changed. Some blame the Olympics and Rio's government's desire to be "respectable". Is it true? Who knows? IMHO, when they closed HELP, it was an attempt to send a message to the world that Rio was no longer a sex tourism destination. I assure you that local Carioca men have no trouble finding GDP's (garota the programma); it's the non-Portuguese speaking foreigner who is challenged.

Is it the paradise it once was? Heck no. But that does not mean that you should not go. However, you do need to temper your expectations. I think what's happened is that the the "semi-pro" (the cashier or waitress who hangs out in bars and turns tricks for extra cash) has been driven underground. The hardened pros you mention are what is still easily visible. Similarly, Termas and Clinicas offer a more "clinical" experience (pardon the pun). If you are looking for a true GFE in Rio, you need to look deeper and accept that it's going to take time hanging out in bars and clubs and picking up girls just like you would at home. The only difference is that once chemistry is established, the question of price quickly comes up in the conversation.

With the closure of HELP the scene has changed but you can always get GFE in Rio you just have to relax and give in to the fact it may take a little work, your radar must be on at all times. Now I don't know if you monger alone or with friends. I tend to find GDPs in Termas to be a good find If you session with one who give you good service and good vibe get her number and invite her after hours to your place. If you have friend (s) traveling with you expand your environment to Regular Clubs or go to the LAPA area or explore the Barra the Tijuca area clubs. Cellphone Translator Apps can help if you are a Non-Portuguese speaking and I can tell you spend time with Pimsular or Rossetta Stone and learn as much as possible even the smallest amount of language learning can help and the appreciate you trying to learn no matter how weak you language skills are.
