Brazilian Economics in Practice - L'uomo

Was at L'uomo last night and the girls were complaining about the lack of customers. So in typical Brazilian fashion, fewer customers means raise the prices and that is what they have done.

Entrance is R$60 with no discount for taking a girl (was R$10)
    40 minutes now is $210 - was $200
    60 minutes now is $300 - was $280
    30 minute massage is now R$70 - was R$50

Drinks have gone up too. R$14 drinks are now R$15 and Martinis which were R$6 are now R$10.

I can totally relate....I enjoy these situations greatly. I speak just basic Port. and I definitely look like a brasilero. At a cafe, bar, club, termas, or beach.......I love to throw in a few comments after overhearing other tourists chat about their experiences or complaints. The expressions on their faces are amusing to me.

Just another little benefit of making the effort to learn the native language.

This one´s on NS Copa, just a few yards west of Prado Junior. During the day it´s a terma and at night it´s a boite. The O Globo ad says 70R, but it seems there´s a room charge of 60R on top of that. Ok if the girls are reasonable. Just had a look in (just past midnight) and it´s a good size, nice and new and glitzy, like many of the boites in the immediate area. I think they said they have half a dozen suites so presumably you don´t have to take the girls in a bag off the premises and hide them from your hotel reception. Not many girls about just now. Same owners as Quitanda downtown he says. But the girls ´can´t be bothered turning up when it´s sunny and it´s carnaval.´ Only a couple of so-so´s on the shelf when popped my head in.

The address is NS Copa 99A. Tel 8807-2800. The boite or ´American Bar´is open 8pm to 5am, ´striptease,´ blahblah. Whereas the terma is daytime. Nice that the girls do get a few hours nap
Made a stop by at 7:00 PM and they were not open. Knocked on the door and the guy said come back at 8:00 PM. Came back at 8:15 and got the tour. Nice bar area and decent rooms. No girls so I left. The paper they gave me said they have been open since Feb 5. Seems they are still working out some of the kinks. Hope to be able to give a report when they actually open.

    40 Graus

    Has anyone tried 40 Graus?

On a previous trip, whenever I called, I could not get thru.
Anyone know what going on with them?

    They should learn some Portuguese

You're a better man than me. While I don't come across this behavior often, I probably would've left when the girl left. The guy sounds like a total idiot. That's why I travel alone, and avoid places where "certain" tourists might venture.

further to forest´s excellent post (http://www.internationalsexguide.inf...postcount=8007) on the 9am knock shop, i just had to try, especially as there were several places i nneded to go to in that area.

the actual address is ns copa 500, 4th floor, room 407. 60r for half an hour. (inclusive - no fees for room or ´entrance.´) in other words, it´s not far from siqueira campos, almost opposite miami peep.

i went just after ten a.m. about five girls on - the best was maybe a 7 would you say forest? quite nice anyway, and one or two do-ables. there were all introduced in teh old fashioned style - through to the room then each girl sent in one at a time to introduce herself before making a selection. i went for jacquelini, with long curly black hair, the girl who was acting as receptionist, mostly cos of her lovely warm smile.

rooms were not bad at the price. freshly laundered and sealed towel pack (showered afterwards - cold, unless i failed to find the right combination of adjustments among the typically brasilian mix of insulating tape and blutac that passes for bathroom electrics). reasonable double bed, a/c that was pleasant rather than like a fridge.

bbbj and tit-fuck, lots of kissing all the way through, bit of daty, exceedingly warm and affectionate. frigged herself to come while we shagged.

one of the nice things is the location. there´s now quite a good selection of hoor houses around siq.campos and at all prices (short of 1r a minute haha). given copa´s standard overpricing, i thought this was quite reasonable value and would return, especially as it fills a gap by being open at 9am.

another new terma - Formula 99 (2pm to midnight)

    Cheap shite in Lala Land

¨For you, special price!¨ I´m sure you´ve heard this phrase. I´m not familiar with the price of a sun lounger on this particular piece of granulated silicon but I´m pretty sure it´s less than the special price. ¨25 Reis!¨my good-natured big mama saleslady exclaims. I give the only fitting response. Whoops of laughter, banging my first on the ice-drinks crate. I look at her companions to see if they also have tears rolling down their face at her wonderful joke. Unbudging, she goes to 20. Then 15. I suggest 8 is fair, but offer 10 to pay for my ignorance. I can wait.

I´ve stopped wearing a watch. In Brasil, in a hurry means desperate. Desperate means expensive. I just stand there with an expansive smile, sharing the bonhomie. Eventually she comes down. She does. And puts suntan on my frickin back. And doesn´t try to overcharge me again for the whole afternon.

I´m not a beach bunny, but I had arranged to meet for beach with a rather nice beach babe the night before. I was at the shrine. The one where you have a religious experience as you walk in, realise it´s all bullshit, but enjoy it just the same. The Lord heard my call for Help and responded with a better night than I had expected. Help have opened the backroom. Brasilian music. Shame about the DJ, but it made a change from Madonna. After an hour I decide not to even speak to girls who are not my preferred genotype. Skinny blonde, fair skin, if you please. I can go for the Ivete Sangalo girl-next-door look but, at 38R just to look, it should at least look nice. Full of appropriate effort and feminine niceties. It´s 4am and I´ve narrowed it down to three. One is too stuck up. The second is too shy. The third is just right. Ané. She reminds me of a Paulista girl I used to live with and I wish I´d married. Our bodies blend. We share all the same interests. (Utter BS I suppose, but at least she´s being professionally GF-ish.) She closes with my definite agreement and all the other things we can do together this week. Adding, ¨Four-zero-zero, ok?¨ Well it is and it isn´t. She is so lovely I am ready to pay her any money she asks. The gospel has been delivered and I´m hallelujah with dinheiro. But knowing how stupid I am at such times, I have prepared. I took the precaution earlier of having no more than 250R absolute max garota money up my sleeves. She offers 350 but I think, ¨The sweetheart she reminds me wouldn´t accept a penny. This girl says she likes me but wants 350??¨

Now let´s just say she´s good GFE. That means a regular debit of 400, near enough. Say 300 with discount. That´s to much. I´d want a legal secretary with legs right up to the Supreme Court for that. We swap phone numbers, me remembering this had been my main intention all along. Beach tomorrow. She gets a taxi home, too proud to drop lower - or go after other customers in front of me at least. But my evening´s not over. Where now?

Nog. Almost home from home. I even get a taxi there instead of waiting for the bus. A couple of familiar faces but one girl gets my attention. I had ignored her the other night. Too jiggy and full of energy. But she kept coming back to me. Masses of flaming hair, reddish gold. Always smiling, genuinely lighting the place up. Plus I´d seen her carrying groceries home that day, so she´s local. I show interest and she almost overwhelms me with heart and enthusiasm. She´s maybe ten years older than a nineteen year old that´s getting angry cos I knocked her back. I use it to advantage. 200? No way. 150? Pleading voice. No, I can wait and I know she´s gonna say yes. 100 it is. Back at the apartment she soon turns BBBJ into possibly the best deep throat I´ve ever had. I look at it disappearing behind her lips like an Indian Rope Trick, convinced it has to come out behind her ears. There´s no pretense. It´s clothes-ripping-off-fuck-me-hard time. After she falls asleep in my arms I wake her up enough for a second kissy-cuddly fuck. Twelve o´clock next day I have to kick her out as I´ve promised to meet Ané. A nagging voice keeps telling me, ´dumb.´

Lusty reddish blonde flamer hustles an extra 20R for ´coca cola on the beach.´ Yeah right, I tell her, is that a private Leblon beach?? But she´s so much fun I don´t deny it. Swap phone nos.

Call Ané. Arrange 1pm outside an Ipanema beach hotel. I phone her just before I leave (late) and she hasn´t left. She uses up my credits trying to close on 400R and offering to forget the beach and just come over. No way. I´m in beach mood now.

On my deluxe 10R beach recliner, I hear the sound of my phone. Ané calling. Which part of the beach am I on? I explain. In great detail. Till her credits run out. I can wait . . .

Late afternoon, a taxi has to get bogged down in Centro traffic pretty well as much as the Express Bus. Except the bus doesn´t have a meter I´ve tried changing to the Metro which shaves time off at rush hour, but there can be queues for tickets at that time. If I´m not locked in, I´ve often stayed in Alfonsa Pena for one night to save traffic (walking distance to VM haha) then gone down and rented an apartment in peace the next morning.

Airport Bus - Is it worth it?

I agree. I always have a driver meet me at the airport for safety and convenience. I took the bus because I had forgotten to pick up a small box at baggage claim. I took a nap, walked up to Av Atlantica and took the 1 hour trip to the airport. Went to baggage claim and picked up my item, then took the 1 hour bus ride back to Copa. It was not that bad.
