My friend had an issue with a girl from DV on Saturday. He brought her back to his place and she changed all of the terms of the deal (! Hour instead of all night. Condom for the BJ, No pictures, etc) So he told her that she could leave and she demanded that he pay her anyway "For her time". He laughed in her face and told her to GTFO. She threatened to call the police and then he would have to pay 3 X what he owed her.

You were lucky. Getting a prepaid sim card in Rio seems to be a real pain these days. I spent hours yesterday in Riosul buying a sim card and having it registered. I was sent from Claro to Vivo and from Vivo to Tim. Nobody was prepared to help although the stores were almost empty. The staff was just sitting there on their hands looking bored. With much asking around in my very limited Portuguese, I finally found a store where they sold sim cards of Tim. But they told me that I should register myself by calling a number. I did so, but the menu was all in Portuguese. No press X for English. I went back to the Tim store but there they refused to help me and were quite rude about it as well. Service levels really have declined in Rio since my last visit 6 years ago. Back then, it was no problem at all to get a registered sim card. Finally, the people at my Airbnb were able to help me with the Portuguese menu and I got registered.

If you mean GIG airport, then yes there is wifi inside the airport. It will ask you to login with your Facebook or Twiiter account though. I bought a Claro SIM card from the store "Americanas Express". There are other places too. Once you install the SIM, you receive a message showing the phone number. Here is the interesting part. After purchasing the SIM, I went to the Claro store in Leblon Shopping Mall and asked to activate it. The store was very busy. The customer Rep. Wrote the phone on a sheet of paper and asked me to wait for few minutes. While waiting I saw him working on a computer and activated the SIM. He did not ask for ID, Passport or CPF. Whether this is a new policy or he was new and did not know enough, I do not know. He then asked me to go to a pharmacy which is across from the Claro Store to get an Internet package. I bought a 30 day, 12 GB data for 30 Real from the Raia Pharmacy. I also paid 10 Real for the SIM card. So for 40 Real and NO ID or CPF I got a local phone.

Yes really. It's based on my experience from 2000's, I don't remember exactly. The way I do remember it, termas and bars were bursting at the seems with both men and women, FLs were asking ridiculous prices, but would go down a bit as the night progressed.

I've stayed at this hotel a few times, on the weekends they have a DJ on the roof bar, I've met working girls there. On Sunday afternoon the rooftop bar attracts locals and I've seen working girls there and I've brought my own. As far as price for the ocean front suite it varies from season to season so check hotels.com or Pestana website.

I am not trying to debate which one is better as I like both. I think Lima has far better seafood dishes, like sashimi, ceviche, and also chicharron. Lima has far better Chinese style dishes. I think Lima also has better cafe. Nothing in Sao Paulo I have tried that comes close to places like El Pan de la Chola but Sao Paulo is very good still and it has far more good cafes than I know in Lima.

Last time I was in SP only Claro would sell to me without CPfuckingF. My language skills still arent good enough to feel confident without immediate internet access.

And does anyone recommend any new Termas?

You can get SIM card in front of Uruguaiana station of Centro station from TIM girl like in the picture, Centro station probably is easier. Technically you can get SIM card anywhere in SP without any documents but you need document to register it. You can register TIM SIM by phone with only your passport. Just wait to the end and you will get an option for English language

Last time I was in Rio, I went to a new terma around the corner of 116, you won't miss it if you know where 116 is. But this is not a recommendation.

Both things are dumb. You are just a random guy from the internet. These people know nothing about you, yet can strike fear into you like that? Taking your photo putting it somewhere and saying you molest people would have the same effect as taking any other person's random photo from the internet and saying they molest people. No name. No date. No city. No nothing except a photo. If this was really a thing then I am sure that our inboxes and facebooks would be full of random mfs pics with captions saying they molested somebody. But they are not! Because it is just all bullshit scammers make up to scare you. I guess it actually works on some people. Get some street smarts about yourself.

I never thought about it much, but my "don't stand out / blend in as much as possible" policy leads me to follow the points you suggest. But with girls I repeat with there comes a time when I learn their real names and they mine. I never trust anyone 100%, but I trust my judgment and instincts viz a viz the girls. I know when it is alright to lower my guard a little.

But definitely do not put your photo on your WhatsApp profile. I use a picture of leopard in the jungle. And I have a separate account and alias email name for everything related to our sport. Protect your identity boys. It's very important.

Coming here from Pattaya looking forward to come home to Brazil. Been away for 8 months. God, I am so homesick. I can literally feel life coming back to me, familiar language, familiar places, being able to communicate with the girls, oh boy, I am so homesick and soon I will be back. What a joy.

But I do use my normal WhatsApp. I separate Colombian (Spanish speaking activity) on one number, from everything else on my Brazilian number. And it's all mixed up. I keep my name off because that is the biggest problem and I learned that while photo is OK, I should not use a photo which exists on any other social media sites, so the photo should not be searchable to allow tracing to your real identity.

The reason I prefer photo is that it serves as a pre-selection. There is no doubt that just like I select girls that I like the girls have their range too, and I don't want to be with people who don't appreciate me. So I feel photo is useful. I wish there was a feature to control which photo to show to different contacts, as I would like to do reciprocity. Show real photo to people who have real photo, show no photo to people who show no photo, show avatar to people who show avatar, show random photo to people who have random photo.

I don't have to have secrets (anymore, right now anyway) which is really nice. So I am not blackmailable.

But I had a few incidents.

What happened (and I reported here at the time) was that I got an unsolicited contact from what looked like a provider and then suddenly (s) he became pushy and then suddenly said I was being a waste of time and if I didn't want anything that I should go to hell and besides (s) he will post my picture everywhere and go to the police (actually, "the embassy" which was funny). Wanted me to beg and pay money. But I just pushed back. It got a little scary, because false accusations can hurt. I kept the communication channel open to see how (s) he gave up when I didn't budge. But I immediately checked my photo was searchable on the internet, associated with some blog or something. And I changed the photo at the sources and tried Google image to pull it. That wasn't very successful with Google image. So, this is something I keep remembering, to not use the same photo that is searchable. Fortunately public face recognition services don't exist (yet).

(2) Here is another one: specially Brazil related. Once I got into an argument with a girl from RJ who was being difficult to actually schedule. And then I said sorry I give up this ain't working anyway. And then she became enraged and I made the mistake to get myself suckered into an argument instead of just tuning out. Then she got so enraged that she threatened she would do some Voodo (macumba) stuff with me, which, of course not having anything else from me, would involve my photo. You guys might not believe in such "superstition" but I am long enough in Brazil that I take this issue with caution. In this case quickly blocking her would make sure that she could not pull my photo any more, with the chance being very low that she had captured it during the argument already.

So there we go as deep into WhatsApp photo as one can go. Haha. Man, I am so homesick, I am actually looking forward to having an argument with a girl in Brazil. Haha.
