In my apartment, the doormen keep a book to record the tips. People sign and list how much they tipped. The doormen are then to distribute it among themselves. This is supposed to keep the doormen honest. I ignore it and give directly to those who deserve it. I don't stiff anyone, but believe in rewarding those who most deserve it.

As for the termas, I would buy Nina, the changing room attendant at Monte Carlo a new car if she asked. She has been there as long as I remember and is such a sweet lady. Tell her she is more beautiful than any of the girls upstairs and watch her blush. Você é mais linda que todas as garotas lá them cima.

It's probably been posted before, but for those who don't feel like venturing out of Copa or are pressed for time, this spot is a good alternative. They had at least 10 babes on staff every time I went and most were very nice. A little on the pricey side compared to Eden Spa or the Centro spots at $250 are for an hour, but the talent was good and the location is convenient. They are open daily (forgot the time they open, but I think it was 10 am) til 9 pm and 6 pm on Sat, but closed on Sundays. The Egytian dude sitting out front will lead you in, can't miss him, LOL.

The beds mostly suck because they are the medical beds, but there are normal beds there if you ask and they are available. It is on the same street as Monte Carlo but on the opposite side of the street and going the opposite direction west of and. S Copacabana almost at the corner.

Never pay anyone to take you to a termas or massage place. Seems that the Egyptian dude cost you an extra 50 Reais. Save your money for people who provide real services.

The rate on Espaco Terapias Orientais site is 150 for 30 minutes and 200 for 60 minutes. I just called Delírio Oriental and confirmed their rates are the same.

Sign does not prohibit tips. Only says that tipping is optional.

It's optional for us to tip, according to the sign, but the the sign also specifically states "Aviso aos Funcionarios. É proibido pedir Caixinhas. A gerencias. " It was posted upstairs where you wait for the room. I took a picture of it while waiting just for the hell of it and a good laugh, in light of the heavy request for tips at every turn. Maybe they are allowing it for Christmas or the policy changed recently, but I've never seen it this bad and I've been going for years.

Anyways I was in a good mood and ended tipping the room lady, locker room lady and cashiers the last time I went Tuesday. I might go this week, but I will ease up on the tipping. LOL!

Definitely had nice talent as of two days ago, but the staff are all on tip mode. Everyone is asking for tips for "Natal", in spite of the signs prohibiting that practice.

Sign does not prohibit tips. Only says that tipping is optional.

I have been during Rio carnival. To me girls scene is better during carnival except for expenses, Hotels and other accommodations are very expensive. Regarding freebies yes as there will an air of celebration at that time and can find many girls every where. Literally every road is flooded with people and can feel festival vibe all over. If you have deep pockets then a big Yes or else it's better to avoid.

Has any of you Rio experts have been to Rio during carnival? Is the mongering better or worst? What about the freebies?

As of 11/27, 4 x4 was 320 BRL /40 minutes 340 BRL /60 minutes. Entry of 50 BRL is waived when you session before 6 PM, not 5 PM

Be careful at 4 x4 with these chicks trying to pull fast ones. Last week a garota got me for supposedly a 40 minutes session at the 340 are rate. She said they changed it where the rooms with the shower are 340 and without shower at 320 are. Of course it turned out to be be. S, because all the other sessions there after were 40 minutes for 320 are and they all had showers in the room, like it's always been. The price listing for 320 and 340 only says cabine and Simples and does not specify time. I didn't sweat it at the time because I was ready for action and wanted a shower before screwing, but just watch the scams they try to pull.

I want to visit Rio in February for 3 days before heading to Buenos Aires.

I will staying at ibis Copacabana.

I don't have much time to check all termas.

My plan is to visit just 3 top termas.

I like termas which are more closer to German FKK in terms of facilities, cleanliness and quality, I haven't visited any so don't have any idea what to expect.

I book Ibis because it is near MABS but everyone here is not giving MABS an good review, so should cancel my plan to try to pick from MABS.

Is that really all-in? If so, I'm surprised to hear that 65 is now cheaper than 4 x4 and Cancun. For years, 65 priced was more expensive than its Centro competition. The quality has always been good.

Combo- Earlier in the year they tried a similar promotion to 4 x4 where the room was free if you session before 6 pm now they waive the "are $90" entrance charge.

I went with Bucanero's today to the same prives mentioned by RT23. Sessiod with a brunette, gave good service. However, I couldn't shoot due to the uncomfortable mat covered by blankets. Also, the AC was somewhat weak due to the shared wall / partitions so didn't help matters. Girl also overcharged me at 200 are / hour (my limited Porto). Overall, nice girls but the amenities (or lack of it) should be noted as mentioned by RT below.

Based upon Bucanero's report of a double here, headed here yesterday morning. Girl that opened the door was young, pretty and petite, so I was excited to get two of them. However, she was the one working at this point (it was probably 11 am). Good BBBJ, and fucking in a number of positions (her reverse cowgirl was well done). As noted, only issue could be the walls are more like partitions and there are no beds, just the equivalent of yoga mats covered by blankets. Which worked out fine from my perspective. But may not work for everyone.

Thanks for the corrections and for the additional information on Cancun. My Porto is quite limited, some I may have misunderstood some things.

70 BRL Terma Cancun entry does not include just one beer, but as much beer or liquor as you want up to the 70 BRL, based on the prices of the beer or liquor on the drink list (you have to ask the bartender for it). Entry as of 12/3 was 330 BRL for 60 minutes, up from 310 Real the week before. On Mondays and Thursdays, there is a drawing at 8:30 PM for a free 40 minutes session (your locker number is your ticket number).

Terma 502 entry of 25 BRL includes 2 beers, but only the local brand of the three brands they have. The other two cost more.

Great prive report Bucanero! I'm gearing up for my trip in January. Did you attempt to bring any prive chicas back to your place? Is it possible with limited Porto?

No, I didn't. I don't want to have unknown girls over at my apartment and certainly not for a pernoite. It is just too risky. However, it would certainly be possible. My Porto is very limited but two prive girls I've been with hinted at being delighted to come over to my apartment in Copa. To be clear, they asked for it, I didn't.
