January 6, 2010 Rio state government shut down and eventually tore down Help Disco. The intent was to build the Museum of Image and Sound, in an effort to clean up Copacabana. The Museum was to be completed in 2014. That didn't happen. The next target date was 2016, for the Rio Olympics. That date was missed too. Construction stopped around Nov 2016 with 70% of the building competed. (They ran out of money.) Unknown when it will be completed, (if ever.).

They are planning to finish the construction of MIS. About 90% of the construction are completed. They are supposed to to open the Museu in Dezember 2019. Only 5 years delayed.

It is my first time in Rio, speak very little Portuguese and I am staying just 3 minutes walk away from Barbarella. I had no intention of going to Barbs before coming to Rio, but after reading about TomJacking's great experience there, I thought maybe the place had changed. I knew the place closes at 4 am, so I went in at 3 am to see if there would be an opportunity of taking a girl for all night at that time, since the club would have almost closed by the time I would be leaving.

There were about 10 girls inside and about 4 doable, I grabbed myself a drink and called one of the girls over. She asked for a drink straight away to which I replied I would get her one later. After about 3 minutes, her friend (second girl named Nicolly) came over and asked if I wanted a threesome with both of them, I replied that I was very tired and would only take them on the offer if they both stay all night as it was already late. I did not really fancy the second girl but she spoke some English so the conversation was easier with her being involved. They started with 1000 are for both of them and we finally agreed on 600 R. It was around 3:30 am at this time, I paid 160 R takeout fee for both girls and a 80 R entrance charge for a total of 240 R. We walked to my apartment a few metres away and when we got to my apartment, they said they wanted some marijuana and Coke for them to get crazy for me and they knew someone who could get both for 100 R. I told them that I do not use both substances and don't want to buy them.

Afterwards, they demanded for the payment saying that they needed to paid upfront given their bad experiences of customers not wanting to pay after the deed. I thought this was fair and handed 600 R over to the first girl but this was the beginning of the trouble. The other girl said I needed to pay her 600 R as well that the deal was 600 R for each lady. I laughed at her and told her to stop it if it was a joke. She started raising her voice at this point saying she needed to be paid her money and the second girl supported her on this claim. I told them there isn't any problem that they should just give me back my 600 R and they can leave since we haven't done anything. This was where the shit got interesting. The First girl said the 600 R was for the time she had spent with me since leaving the club which had not been more than 30 minutes at this point and did not include any sex, and she could not give me the money back.

The second girl said she would call the cops if I do not pay her 600 R. It was almost 4 am at this time and told them to let us go back to Mabs and resolve it with the Management there, but they refused to leave my apartment, with the second girl constantly threatening to call the police. I told her I am not paying any 600 R and I actually need to get my 600 R back from the first girl. The second girl made a call on her phone and I could hear her give my apartment number over the phone. About 10 minutes after there was a loud knock on my door, when I opened the door there were two police officers with guns standing at the entrance, I was told to put my hands behind my back and I was searched. I told the officers that I was glad they came and told them everything that had happened with my little Portuguese and that they should help me collect my money back from the first girl. Instead the officers said I had to pay 600 R to the second girl since I had agreed the price with her earlier.

I looked the officers in the face and said I can not pay her any dime and only agreed to pay 600 R to both of them. I showed the officer the 10 R remaining in my pocket, having locked away all my money earlier when we got to the apartment saying there was no way I could get any 600 R and that I was very happy to follow them to the station to report the case. The officers asked for my ID, which I gave them and pretended to be writing something down. Afterwards they said they would have to take the girls home. I asked them again to retrieve my money from the first girl since I did not do anything to which they replied that there was nothing they could do. The eventually left my apartment around 4:45 am.

I could imagine this happening with a SW but not at Barbs. Thanks goodness I did not buy the drugs for them, I could be in jail now.

I remember 4 X 4 use to be around $250. I know they had a lot of inflation since then. Also I am going to stay 1 month so I wanted to travel a friend of mine has a place in Buzios, and I also wanted to check out Bahia and Minas Gerais, I heard Minas is where are the most "native girls" to hook up. Brief breakdown of the activities. Met a freelancer out at the bars. Chick asked for R400. I said WHAT? I spoke in portuguese and said 'It's not my first trip to Brazil'. Komo is an actual guy. I met him a couple of years ago in Rio to do a trash boate tour. If I recall correctly, he said he was originally from Morocco but had spent time in Portugal, where he learned Portuguese, at which he is indeed fluent. To the best of my recollection, he looked somewhat like Rajesh on The Big Bang Theory. I don't remember him saying anything about being a Canadian or working in Japan.
