Another issue, if cost is considered, is the air fair. I typically pay about $550 round trip from LAX to Medellin, I just checked and the cost to BA is almost 3 times as much with Rio being about double.

I have been to Rio twice but that was at the turn of this century, had a blast with a big thanks to HELP!

In Medellin I have so much familiarity and now learning Spanish and with my stable of Paisa cuties I am hard pressed to travel elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong as last year I did P4 P in both Philippines and DR and it was a nice experience.

I spend every winter in Medellin. I'm there right now. I like it here but after two months I'm always ready to go to a bigger city. My only issue with the monger scene in Medellin is I like skinny chicks with big tits and here it's sort of the other way around.

I'm really looking forward to checking out Rio.

BA, IMHO has gone way way downhill as far as PFP goes.

May be 30,000 sex workers there, probably even more bait and switch, fake photo ads, over-priced Newport hags, way over priced Delirio girls, closed Privados, closed clubs, etc, etc.

For me personally, BA is way down the list of PFP destinations.

I'the go anywhere in Brazil or Colombia before Id visit BA.

This is all based on PFP mind you.

If you want a good steak and watch a Tango show, by all means, go to BA.

Well, I suppose you could find another forum beside ISG to insult your peers on. But, it appears you are having sufficient fun doing that here.

Of course, if someone knew what was all that was going on "behind the scene", (as you put it), they wouldn't need to come here to understand how "the scene" works, would they?

Seems like you are the only one in here "wildly speculating." I've verified plenty of garotas taking Ubers, not only to Zona Norte but to Copa as well. And this is happening now, not "back in the days".

I'm sorry ET, but this comment about "private" drivers seemed to be extraneous in the scheme of things. When I first read it, it sounded like they had black limos driving them to and from the termas.

In a world full of rules and limitations, I'm not sure the vehicle choice of termas girls is one of the things bound by rules. If you can imagine it and pay for it, it's very likely possible.

Require key card for elevator use? I really dread having to register girls. I understand the benefits but usually rely on my "selection skills" to hopefully not have to worry about any issues. Hoping I can have them just come up without having to meet or parade them to the front desk.

The Marriott for many years required a key card but until recently that has changed probably because they want to open their roof top to the public. They put a bar and snack stand on the roof top and looks like they are open for business to the public. I also believe they have a DJ on weekends on the roof so they have loosened their security to make some money.

Same at the Pestana seems like even during the day people go up there and drink at the bar have lunch and hang out and same at night. I stayed at the Pestana and at night I walked right past the front desk with girls from Dolce Vita and no one stopped me but during the day I registered a few as the girls are trained to walk right up to the front desk and register, I think if I caught them ahead of time we could have bypassed that but they are more strict during the day.

That's why I like apartments because no one is scrutinizing you but I also like the amenities of a hotel and hanging by the pool so I suck it up during the registration process which only takes a minute.

It does not require a key card. I didn't bring in any hookers, only regular women and I did not have to register them. Then too, I did not ask any questions. You do have to walk past the desk to get to the elevator. And of course they know who is staying in their hotel. I really don't recommend that hotel. The rooms are really small for the price.

It long has been the practice that the termas girls use private drivers (usually a friend or relative of one of the girls) to take them to the north zone. At the end of their shift, they fit as many of them as possible in a car and off they go. How do I know? I have ridden with them.

From past experiences, Hotels and apartments will gouge you over New Years. Apartments require you to stay a certain period for New Years. The airfares are also higher.

I was hoping to travel to Rio for New's Year but that is not going to happen. It is just too expensive to fly down during that time, the airline cost was just unbelievable!

I pushed my trip back until Jan 29th, will be stay for 14 days.

I've been enjoying heading out to Rua Uruguaiana to dance at the boates with the garotas. It's been fun exploring, had some great experiences, a lot cheaper than the termas although some of them are quite trashy indeed. Best I've found so far is New Club located at 81 RUA the QUITANDA 81. Some nights have been very quiet and boring. Others really fun and I did have one of my best 3 some ever here. Curious if other members can recommend some other spots. Looking for decent dance floor, beautiful garotas and not too expensive and not too dirty. Is that really so much to ask?

I do actually know how things work in Rio with 15+ years of experience and fluent portuguese.

I count some of the drivers you refer to as friends of mine.

Regardless of whether the girls share a private car or use uber the driver will want to get paid and the girls will need to factor this in when setting their prices.

If they are all from the same area the customer should not need to pay for multiple cars or ubers.

Because I haven't stepped foot in any of these places in years. If all you ever see is the tourist traps then that's what you're going to get.

But this is the Rio thread, so I'll leave it at this.

I'm looking forward to seeing Rio the first time.
