The GRU airport is total tourist trap for trying to exit customs fast. The signs snake through the Duty-Free store. If you follow the signs and directions lost 10-15 minutes walking through the stupid duty-free store. All I want to do is get the heck out of GRU airport, hop in the Uber with the destination already set to Prime Moema for duplo session with Karen and Ariella.

Eventually, I learned when first entering the duty-free shop to take an immediate left, to the exit door. The immediate left, avoids going thru the duty-free gauntlet. The staff, if asked show you the long way out.

I don't check luggage so to avoid the lines exiting luggage claims, I go under the stanchions to the exit. There is sometimes another random? Customs luggage check if you are directed out of the line before the freedom to exit.

The other domestic airport SDU has one of the nicest views at the Uber Lounge. Very picturesque while waiting for the Uber to arrive. The SDU Uber lounge is a bit more organized, in my opinion. Plus free wifi and a bank of banco24 ATM upstairs in the Bossa Nova Mall.
