Yes, the Rio Roiss was a dump (3 rating max), but in a great location for the time. I stopped staying there because I wanted to stay in nicer places. So what's the issue then? I also mentioned both the Pestana (rooms could be better if you ask me) and the Astoria Palace. Did not mention any Sao Paulo or Porto Alegre hotels since this is a Rio thread. When people start wanting to know about hotels, girl-friendly is at the top of the list, then normally comes location of the place, quality of facilities, and price. What's your issue?

I was in rio back in 2016 and went to Delirio.

I'll be going back in a week. I'm thinking of going back to Delirio, trying Copa 583, or Bel Prazer.

I like the young and petite type that can do BBBJ. I'll want to go in the early afternoon on a Monday.

I've never had a problem getting my tutes into any hotel ever in any city in Brazil. Well, I have only been to three cities, but no problems. In Rio, I have always stayed in Copa. My first few times I stayed at the Rio Roiss, but I read somewhere that they are no longer a going concern. These days, I like the Astoria Palace and the Pestana, in that order. Thinking of doing the Hilton the next time. I always book a room for two and have never encountered any difficulties whatsoever.

"This apartment is not very often rent as it's a huge and expensive apartment. The owner (which is a friend of my parents and Lives in the countryside) is very picky about guests as he's already had many problems with disrespectful people looking for a place for parties. He once had a group of 14 men from Argentina looking for a place for bachelor party for instance. It was terrible, they brought prostitutes in and made an spoke very loud past midnight -a true nightmare".

I have noticed a lot of places on Air Bnb go out of their way to indicate you can not bring guests back to the apartment. Just going to ignore such rules to be honest and hope for the best.

Would love to hear specifics about issues people have had because, again, not my experience.

My experience is that they actually register the guest and give them a key. I reported on this before when it happened last year. When I checked in I had to give them the name of the person that was going to be in the room with me. She didn't show up so I called in reinforcements. When that chick came the guy said in front of the girl, "Do you want me to take the other lady off and put her on?" She was the only one I brought there during that stay, so I have no idea what would have happened had I showed up with a different chick after her.

First time poster but long time monger in Rio.

I've been to Rio a number of times this year, (and over 20 times in total) was there over Christmas and New Year, have stayed in a variety of hotels almost all of which have an issue with bringing back girls.

* Windsor Group. Policy that they do not allow girls in, their security somehow recognize them too I had one come in very subtle clothing, had booked a room for 2 people and they would not allow her access, I argued with them to no avail. I have stayed in a variety of Windsor properties, this is their policy.

* Hilton. I was allowed to take in a girl but was charged 250 are $ for the privilege. My buddy tried to bring back 2 girls and was told no.

* JW Marriott. They were better, wasn't asked which surprised me even though one night was very late back with girl and very drunk..

I have stayed at the following hotels without issue.

In fact, in over 80 visits to Rio including hotel stays in months, not days, I have never had an issue. This includes hotels in Botafogo, Ipanema, Leblon, Glória, Centro, Santa Teresa and São Conrado (Intercontinental. Now closed). Have not stayed recently in Barra because I stay with friends there.

Would love to hear specifics about issues people have had because, again, not my experience.

I have requested on a rare occasion that reception check and hold an ID if I had doubts about a girl. Members may not know but one of the most important items to a Brazilian is their ID card (has their photo and finger print) - documento. They will not leave it behind.

Has anyone had any success with going with a small group of guys and finding a place that lets you have parties? Most of the places I've messaged on airbnb has said no except one but also want the noise level to quiet down after 10 pm.

The best tip is to do what you would want a tenant to do if you were the landlord.

A nice and lengthy first effort on this site, but your post is full of inaccuracies and rookie errors. I will point out just one. You wrote that pretty much all hotels don't allow mongers to bring in girls. That is so untrue! Whether in Rio, So Paulo, or Porto Alegre I have never had a problem ever bringing a tute to my hotel room. Not once, and I have been to Brazil many times. I just hate it when I see misleading information like this that gives guys who don't know the wrong impression. Just book your room for two people, and it will be very unlikely that you will have any problems.

I spent 3 weeks over Christmas and New Year and found tipping the doorman at my apartment building worked a treat, he did not ask once when I had a variety of girls back as I have him 100 are $ when I checked in, I return in a few weeks and will adopt the same policy.

A definitive list of guest-friendly hotels in Rio would be very helpful.

Sao Paulo does not impose the same restrictions although some of them charge a guest fee and make the girls check-in, this isn't always a bad thing in case you wake up the next morning with a missing wallet! I always lock everything in my safe, everything.

If you really want to try your hand at the civilian women, I'd offer a few suggestions.

1) Keep your eyes open everywhere. Flirt with girls working at retail establishments and restaurants. Their wages are terrible. Many of them like the attention from gringos. You can also flirt with girls waiting at a bus stop or whatever. The advantage of an assertive and unexpected approach is you will know in an instant if the girl is initially interested in your overture.

2) If you hit the clubs or bars, don't go after the hottest girl in the venue. Unless you are good-looking and have game, this is going to lead to frustration. This rule would seem to apply everywhere in the world, but some guys think they will be a big deal in Brazil. Trust me, the hottest Brazilian girl in the club knows she's the hottest girl in the club. You're not the first dude with a sizable income to hit on her. You're probably not the first dude with a sizable income to hit on her that night.

3) While the beach is not an easy place to pick-up civilian girls, you have the benefit of the assertive advantage mentioned in point #1. Guys certainly like beach shopping for obvious reasons. I think civilian girls feel vulnerable in their skimpy bikinis and are usually hanging out and chilling with their friends. The beach also adds the challenge of overcoming judgement from her friends. (Club girls and their friends can be in pick-up mode. The beach is different.)

4) It helps to have Brazilian buddies on the ground who can introduce you to locals. Introductions are very helpful here. There is less judgement of a tourist with a Brazilian buddy.

I still think it helps to get away from the tourist zone (gringo gulch). I would love to hear others' take on getting out and about. It would be great if others can add to this list.

But that goes for anywhere in the world. And all women can not be gamed or bought. If you are not doing this at home, then do not go to another country and expect to do it.

Extactly, you have guys go overseas and think they are gods gift to women because they have money. Guys that have no social skills and can't get laid at home unless they pay for it. Thinking they can come on a website and make BS statements like they are the only ones that travel.

What could possibly go wrong with this plan for a bunch of Americans to go to Rio and pick up women for "free"?
Do these guys speak Portuguese? Wouldn't it make a casual hook-up nearly impossible if they don't, since fluent English is not widely spoken in Rio? If many of the women who are there alone are waiting for their online dates to arrive, wouldn't this make the broken-English, broken-Portuguese conversation even more awkward.

Traditionally, a pick-up without the exchange of cash relies upon both parties wanting to see each other again. If they are tourists, wouldn't the Brazilian women realize this wouldn't be a long-term thing.

So they are relying on so much sex appeal that the Brazilian women are not going to to able to resist this one-night fling. Of course most women find the dark-skinned suave-looking South American man more .

Most girls you pull in a nightclub is generally done without any conversation, I agree in a regular bar setting the lack of Portuguese is going to be a big hurdle. I think a few of them will do alright for themselves. They do have some game. On my first trip I did land a girl on the beach with practically no Portuguese who was there with here friends and brothers. Her brothers joined in with us playing football and we were flirting with body language etc.

Were not American BTW. Well one or 2 of the group I don't know might be.

On the debate of skin colour, I am white but most of the group is either Black or mixed race. My experience is that lighter skin can help with attracting women in some countries I. E If my natural target range in the UK is say a 6 or 7 or an 8 on a very good day then on my previous trip to Brazil, Africa and Asia I feel like I can target 8's and If I am feeling really ballsy a 9. I feel like this is true about the average non pro but it won't worked with the higher classes or well traveled girls etc.

My friend introduced me to this Hot Thai girls once from a wealthy background and started with the lines "This is my friend. He loves Thailand". Her first line was "what do you love about it and don't say prostitutes". My experience is that the higher classes from countries with a sex destination rep are quite paranoid about it.
