Everyone today wants and expects instant answers. Just go to YouTube and watch a video to see how it is done. Little thought or consideration is given to the experience and / or expertise of the guy who makes it look so easy in the video. Also, most people are too busy to read all those comments which might address a situation that is closer to their own.

There are members who speak Portuguese fluently and have spent the equivalent of years in Brazil. I personally have spent 6 months at a time living in Brazil among Brazilians speaking only Portuguese. Seeing the same questions over and over again because people are too lazy to do a little research gets old as does people who always ask for information but never report any. The best advice that I have given is often ignored. Be respectful, get to know hotel staff, street vendors, apartment and office building doormen. Don't be a jerk. Following that advice will put an end to another silly question about girl-friendly hotels. I have stayed in most of the moderate to high-end hotels and NEVER had an issue.

One time I was staying at a hotel in Rio and was checking out, going to beúzios and returning. The day I was to leave, I was notified my credit card data had been skimmed, my card had been cancelled and that a new card needed to be issued. The hotel also had a property in beúzios and called ahead for me telling them not to worry about the charges. They told me to have a nice trip and that I could settle my bill there when I got back. Keep in mind this was in Rio where no one trusts anyone. Another time, I was walking the beach early and met a girl. I did not have any money on me. We went to a love motel where I explained to the manager, whom I had taken the time to get to know on previous visits, I had no form of payment but would return later. Told the same thing to the girl. Both were fine with the arrangement.

Instead of worrying that there might be one small privee with 2 shop-worn old women that you somehow might miss out on, learn at least some basic Portuguese, study a map and get to know the metro stops, read this forum and visit recommended sites. Above all, repeat to yourself over and over again, I will stop being a jerk.

Some are only occasional visitors who stay in Copacabana and have day time dedicated to other pursuits. What simple advice would you give to a friend of yours who is looking for having uncomplicated fun in the evening / night time in Rio?

I would bring a friend out to the nightlife in Rio and make sure he had the best night in his life and get laid with a hot girl for free.

I expected a snarky, information-free post and, no surprise, you delivered. The posts about prives that are open on Saturday were to correct the misinformation you gave to BlueChange when you implied prives are closed weekends.

BlueChange didn't ask about opening hours on Saturdays. I never wrote that the privées are closed on weekends, I noted which dates were weekends. Anybody with some experience of privées knows that most Centro privées are closed on weekends, except a few which are open a few hours on Saturdays.
I think Patslyfe1 gave you an excellent advice, study old threads and download Google Translator.

You should really take the time to read some of the old threads where people have explained time and time again where to find the info your after. The website I'm providing you is basically the ISG of Brazil. Download google translator and be ready to do a lot of copy and paste. This is the direct link for the privees but they also review individual escorts in the city, massage spots, and thermas. 2. If you never heard of the prives the locals go to, try to make some friends with the porteiros etc. Maybe you think they'll go to the gringo prives?
3. Please continue to give us the opening times for Saturday prives.

When it comes to prives it might not be a good time to visit. 21 and 22 are weekend. 23 is propably OK. 24 and 25 most prives will be closed. 26 and 27 should be OK. 28 and 29 are weekend. 30 might be OK. 31 and 1 the prives will be closed. 2 and 3 prives will be open, but many of the GPs will still be travelling. 4 and 5 are weekend. A poster on gparena.net just posted about a place, 793 Nossa Senhora de Copacabana, he found on photoacompanhantes.com. Photos of the girl were a fake, with her face a "Cara de Cu" (ass face) in comparison with the photos. He said the there were other girls there, whose photos were also probably fake. Didn't know this place existed but you my want to avoid it, especially at 200 real for an hour.

There exist many privéees in Copacabana never mentioned in this forum. Low price privées with good quality for the locals.

Del Oreintal and Eden Spa in Copa are both open on Saturday.

I thought Delirio Oriental had closed but apparently the website is still up. They close at 7 PM, per the website. The larger Centro prives (Bel Prazer, Dudas) appear to be open on Saturdays until 2-3 PM.

The prives in Tijuca (at least Massagem Tijuca and Annes Massagem) are open Saturdays until about 5 or 6 PM. The prives in 583 Nossa S. De Copacabana are open on Saturdays until at least 6 PM. Termas Monte Carlo, Solarium, and Centaurus are open Saturday nights. Villa Mimosa, if it reopens again, should be open Saturday and Sunday, although it is mostly a horror show. I don't remember if the trash boates in Centro like 210 and 145 Uruguaiana are open on Saturday nights.

I won't have much time the rest of the year to monger and haven't been to rio in ages. I am sort of tired of Colombia and need a change of pace.

Am I wasting my time going and trying to get someone or is there enough dates in between Christmas and new years to bone? Do they celeberate the 24th or 25th?

Christmas and New Year in Rio de Janeiro is excellent with great atmosphere. Definitely recommendable.

When it comes to privées it might not be a good time to visit. 21 and 22 are weekend. 23 is propably OK. 24 and 25 most privées will be closed. 26 and 27 should be OK. 28 and 29 are weekend. 30 might be OK. 31 and 1 the privées will be closed. 2 and 3 privées will be open, but many of the GPs will still be travelling. 4 and 5 are weekend.

Out of your 16 days about 6 days will be decent days to visit privées. The situation might be better if you visit termas. You also have the option of escorts, freelancers, boates and Mabs Zoológico.
