Started the morning by going to barra shopping to do some sight seeing and get brunch. Decided on Taco Bell for a taste of home.

Made the move to barra (pronounced baja) nice apartment hotel at posto 8. Quiet beach area but really nice........ So I booked a room for 2 nights at transamerica. I will sleep and spend my mornings at the beach apt and afternoons and late evenings at TA most likely. The price was negligible so I think the investment will pay off.

LLT, can you elaborate on why you booked at two locations in Barra? I sense you want to be at the beach and you also want the benefits of staying at TA. I don't think I have really heard anyone expound in great detail on having a place at TA besides Vagabundo. I know many escorts live on-site. Do you run into them at the pool? Otherwise, is there a big advantage of having them drop by?

So pre-COVID taxis were around after 11 PM? I used Uber but I was told and noticed no taxis after 11 PM.

I cannot speak to pre covid as limited travel is what brought me here. Taxis are out all night now. At least around the nightlife hot spots. Uber is cheaper anyway. Took a taxi from Marrakesh it was 14 reais same trip on uber was 6.

I think what he was referring to was the old policy that required that you pay the entrance and programa upon entry. It didn't matter whether you took one or not. That was common practice, unless you knew someone there or were able to convince them otherwise. I've been there maybe 5 times (haven't returned since mid 2000's), and managed not to pre pay once. One time I went and wasn't feeling it. I tried to get my money back, but they refused. Good thing I was able to go back in and find someone. That was back when $310 r was a lot for a termas, LOL.

Ah ok that is very different then. Their system now is ok. Even at solarium you have to talk on the phone to confirm your program in full detail. I like that, it clears up any confusion and keeps from unwanted upsales.

I am there waiting in this place which is actually called "Mediterraneo Flat" and no one can help me.
