Leaving Dolce Vita last night the cashier upstairs rang up my tab. It wasn't anything crazy about the two drink total but something caught my eye. After the subtotal of 46 reias was a "Service Charge (optional)" of 4. 6 reais. So I asked him about it. He stated "your minimum has to be 50 reais and that service charge covers the difference. " Looking at him like "yeah right" I told him that I had already covered 50 reais when I paid to enter and that I'm in no way expected to fulfill a minimum of any kind. "On principle I wasn't budging. He kept trying to sell me on it but no dice, the he spoke with one of the guys who work there and explained to him what was going on. I didn't have to say a word. The second guy and I went downstairs to see the lady at the door, she knew what time it was and simply gave me a head nod telling me not to worry. She told the guy I had paid already and that the tab was closed.

As many time as I'd been to the spot I'd never had this experience and had never heard of a similar situation.

2. Nighttime place to be is definitely Mabs. Quality ranges, but will find girls from Termas and Barberella there as well.

3. Centaurus is open, but very aggressive girls. Pricing is 640 Rs for a session. 160 is the entrance fee. Usually 30-40 girls a night.

4. 4 x 4 is open (only weekdays), but somehow goes completely dead by 11 pm. Some 4 x 4 girls go to Mabs or Barberella afterwards. Fee is 50 entry, 330 for 40 minutes, or 350 for 1 hour. The fifty is refunded if you take someone before 6 pm.

5. Barberella is 80 Rs entrance and gives you 2 domestic drinks or 1 premium international drink. Also, if you take someone out it is a 80 Rs fee to take out a girl.

6. Taxis are usually 20 to Ipanema, 30-35 to Centro, 70 to Barra.

8. Dolce Vita sucks, bad attitude for door people and 50 Rs entry.

9. Mabs is a good spot, usually after 11 pm.

10. Not as busy or as expensive (with exception of hotel rooms) during Olympics. I think the crowds during Olympics is completely different than during World Cup.

Night time spot is also VM everyday. Centaurus is a desperate place now. 4 X 4 goes quiet at 11 cause now many girls need to catch the van or omnibus home at night. Also many 4 x 4 girls go to Mosaico in Vila Mimosa which is about 200 for 1 hour and 40 entrance. (please update). I met a few there recently. Its the club type spot with bouncers down the road from VM.

The "casas" have definitely been easiest on the pocket and the extras go a long way.

That's not the ONLY cause, but it's one cause behind the prices seeming much higher today than they were 5+ years ago. Plus there is the BR mentality that it's better to sell something 1 x per week at BRL 700 than to sell it 3 x at 400 (less work LOL). Plus Termas always have, for some reason, never really incentivized the hour session over the 40 minute session, and that BRL price is just to disincentivize the hour, one could argue. If you must TD at the Zona Sul termas, stick to 40 minute TDs and then get the deets for outside-T fun. If the girl won't give them or wants too much, don't put the pussy on a pedestal -- lots of other choices for cheaper. At current FX, BRL 700 is like USD 215, and that goes a long way.

There are still a few termas keeping prices in perspective like MV30/ T31/ Black & White on the lower scale but it is true they all tweak the prices yearly. Mind you, this year I have found VM cheaper at 80 reais per hour for some stunners. That's 40/50 reais cheaper than normal but that's not general. Still many there charging 130 an hour. Its better to do 30 minutes there to avoid time cheating. Then session again if good. TD TD with low outlay.

That's why Copacabana, Ipanema are to avoid, price more expensive less work (40 minutes) , I will never pay 215 us dollars for 40 minutes in a developing country. The maximum I pay in Brazil is 90 or 100 dollars one hour session in a terma, the girl must be very gorgeous, beautiful with a perfect body if I pick a freelancer I pay between 50 and 70 dollars.

I don't really like Mabs and clubs in Copa, it is hit or miss but more often miss, Kalabria sucks, Barbarella sucks, Dolce Vita sucks, more often bad experience, there are many touts on the street trying to bring you to the bar.

I m sure most termas changed the price in the Olympics, if they changed hope the prices will be normal by September.

I'm not too worried on the price. The Olympics is pretty much over, I'm pretty sure Brazil will break even on the money they spent on the olympics because I heard tourist projections are pretty low because all the zika scare, and the crime. So I'm pretty confident you will see the Real 4 to 1 by The End of September and 5 to 1 by the end of the year.

Solarium is almost as expensive as Sydney (Australia) I can't judge this terma, I have never been there, I can't pay 700 reais for a session in Brazil. , I prefer termas in the centro (4 por 4 and Cancun) it is cheaper facility is better in 4 por 4 than Cancun, the girls in these termas are not aggressive, it is what I like, it is safe, the girl quality is good, you can relax. 330 reais one hour session in 4 por4 and 320 reais one hour session +70 reas consumption in Cancun you can get watsap numbers if you want woman Sunday and Saturday, I don't know now if the price changed for Olympic, you have to be careful of the staff in the bar downstairs (4 por 4), they will add 10 per cent taxes in the price if you are new because you don't know and you are like a sucker it was when I was in the bar downstairs fortunately I did not pay because it was not my first time in 4 por 4 but first time in the bar, the staff in 4 por 4 always ask tip I never tipped in Cancun I've never had problems with the staff they never asked me tip.
