You have your own definition of Open. Open to me was that I was able to enter TH with a tourist visa and contrary to many, the process was quite simple.

Yes, in November I had to do 14 Day Quarantine. But it hardly any different from my life in the USA. I worked Remotely, didn't use any vacation time and caught up on a lot of personal todo things. The room was big and nice with 3 really good meals a day.

And then once quarantine finished to be back in Thailand without mass tourism was amazing. Koh phi phi with no tourists? Etc. Was really nice to get some of those amazing islands to yourself with extremely low prices. Plus the prices of woman dropped. Hot gogo girls prices were much lower. Beers cheaper. It was just a great time to go prior to current lockdown measures.

But back to Rio. I found a copy of that Google map on another topic. Excited to get back.

So, as tourist, what are exactly my steps to get things done and get this digital card?
From what I've read on different sites, the vaxx cards will only be checked at museums, movies, stadiums and some popular (and crowded) tourist sites. Bars and restaurants are exempt. Foreign vaxx cards will be accepted.

What's the problem with buying a ticket at the Rodoviária? It couldn't be more simple. A bus ticket cost between 58-86 reais, and leaves abou every second hour. If you want to buy the bus ticket in advance there is a place in Copacabana that sell bus tickets, their shop is on Rua Dias the Rocha.

Besides at the back entrance to the rodoviaria there are guys calling out destinations where you can go in their vans or cars. They leave as soon as the vans / cars are full. In March last year it cost me are $70 going to búzios in the front seat of a car with three more passengers in the back.

Tax ID number. Like Social Security Number in the US. In Brazil they ask for the number for a lot of purchases you may make, such as at a department store (optional) or when doing some stuff online like purchasing tickets. Some websites will not advance if you do not enter a CPF.

    Coming Back Next month

Last Oct, a buddy of mine made our maiden voyage to Rio and had a blast (posted a TR).

Thailand opened up in November and spent 4 weeks there to end the year. Went back to Thailand In Apirl 2021 and just got back last week.

Even in thailand I was itching to get back to Rio so I convinced a buddy to join me end of Oct for a week of craziness.

Last year 4 x4 was yet to reopen but we had a blast in Centaurus, Montecarlo and Solarium (which was our favorite).

Last year although outdated someone had a Google map with adult spots pinned. Does that map still exist and has it ever been updated?

I want to try more prives this year. Last year my buddy and I had a hard time locating shops. So we often "settled" for website freelancers.

My buddy and I like to party and drink to buzzed state with ladies. So nice that 4 x4 has bottle service? And this time will try to check out a disco or two.

Saw some post on here that vaccines will be required for entry as of mid Sept? I'm Vaxed but my buddy isn't yet. Tried to look online and saw no credible mention or vaccine needed for entry to termas etc.

We haven't found a place yet. But looking at Airbnb. Just like in Thailand we like renting a nice place to host some small private parties.

Look forward to getting back and updating our adventures. Thanks for any feedback on my questions.

Is Brazil trying to kill its tourist industry? CPF

Cannot do anything without a CPF. Bus ticket to Buzios? No. Airline ticket? No. Yet OK to check into a hotel without it. So instead of R80 for the bus I took a private car for 200. Not bad value I suppose.

Is the bus company https://www.autoviacao1001.com deliberately trying to kill tourists as customers? Bizarre. I did not try going to the bus station, the web site is your typical rigid data field validation model (irrespective of reality or how asinine) fetishized by disconnected management and owners of the business. No CPF, no sale. No override. Probably I could just front up and pay cash, but they radiate hostility to cash paying customers. Any clues on how this works - or not - gratefully received.

Mr Enternational is indeed correct about lame massage. Meanwhile, I witnessed a foul mouthed (wh) ore flinging abuse and throwing shit at some guy. It is reminder that underneath their practiced smiles and cooing most of the ladies do not like their work or customers. Funny thing is that the more he laughed at her, then a couple of other guys joined in the merriment, one crazy chick turning red and free entertainment for the boys.

It all depends. At the particular event I went to, it was specifically for couples looking to hook up with single men. I was an observer 100% of my own choosing. I had opportunities, but diplomatically turned them down. There was definitely some "clique" there too since it's very much the same core group of people who travel around the country going to events hosted by the same company (they throw parties in 3 cities).

But I can't get it up for women who fall below a 7 on my scale. So, I choose celibacy instead.

LOL. So I was on to something when I said I do not even waste my time with a massage outside of Thailand and Philippines?
