I looked at Century 21 and the cheapest 2 bd I found was $110 US.

AirBnb is big in Rio and has a ton of apartment available.

Yeah, I used it last time I was here. It worked for me, but it took some work as it's a dating app and non-pros take some work. Especially on a dating app. Used it when I was on the states and lots of flakes, sugar babies and a few pros. Tons of fake profiles in the states. Here (SP), sipe right on all you would be willing to bang. Of the few who like you back, show some personality and charm. My best pull from tinder was a sweet, normal girl from a good family (no crims or GDPs) who is half my age. It's become an LTR. Not really sure I want that in the land of ass, especially when she consumes the whole weekend! Be careful what you wish for.

My experience with tinder girls is they are looking for boyfriend material. One girl managed to see me at a concert with another girl and that was it for her. You can probably use tinder for the hookup girls. But I didn't find them. Good luck!

I used tinder in Russia and Czech Republic and I am now using tinder in Japan, I met many girls that are not pro, I never used tinder in Brazil. Tinder in the USA and Canada is a total joke. I also used tinder in Spain and Portugal where I met few girls.

The problem is not the application, it depends where you are located. Many people often judge the application.

I know someone that has had good experience with tinder in Brazil. It is easy to meet up with Brazilian regulars if you speak Portuguese.

Tinder works in Rio like everywhere else. The app is free to use, but you are geo-locked to your actual area (where you are), whereas with the paid version you can search in other cities. You have to connect it to your Facebook account, I believe, to "verify" yourself and link profile pics / other pics and info from FB (including age).

After extensive use, I'd say at least 1/3 of the girls (at least the hot ones) in Rio on Tinder are GDPs. If you're looking for GDPs, there are better ways to find them. If you're looking to use Tinder for civilians, it's a bit annoying actually. The hardest part of Tinder is getting girls to plan to meet up. This may be a Rio thing. I know Larry David (I think) told me he was using it in SP and having a lot of success scheduling lunch meet-ups.....

How do I get a good list of spots to visit in Centro? I want to go down in either July or August of this year and I need some guidance. Outside of the main termas (4 x 4, Monte Carlo, Cancun) I need some help.

Also what are some night time options besides Barbarellas and Mabs?

Night time options in Centro are Sub Solo from 11 pm -04 am Rio Branco. American bar round the corner form subsolo. Florida Bar praca maua. (gents? VM. Mosaico.

No real night time spots, that I know of. Just read Global00 post. He gave the addresses to a few spots. Once you walk around Centro to find the ones he listed, you will finds other also.

What places did you frequent when you used to visit Rio back in 2006 thru 2010? Especially 2010 where did you go?

Wow Rio isn't what it's supposed to be? Sao Paulo has much better though much more expensive (and less expensive options). Villa Mimosa is probably the "best" but it's pretty damn trashy and the pickings are few and far between, quite far, have nothing to add on the prices as those have been previously reported. The termas have a lot of older obviously single mom types, loads. As a city, centro, the night life in Lapa doesn't have many dance clubs and feels like a back water than anything modern. There's not much action in and around Copa. Rio beach area (EG, Copa) is really an old folks retirement community. Ocean's cold now. The people seem rather apathetic and the girls are doing first or 2nd wave feminism. I have met some awesome girls in Brazil just not in Rio.

I'll stop the harping and just ask for any other recommendations in Brazil. I've been to Salvador and that's a hard place to pick up. Someone mentioned Parana? Like Curitiba or Floripa? Belo?
