If I had to guess, Barra is a residential neighborhood and airbnb hosts in Barra would be even less receptive to outside guests than their counterparts in Copa or Ipanema. And there is no such thing as "typical. " If you don't see any mention of the guests policy in the description, you'll have to either chance it or ask explicitly. I've used both methods in the past with mixed results. Get friendly with the doorman to increase your chances.

Also check the Hotel / Apartments thread. There was a link recently to the website that's friendly to the hobby. Not sure if they have Barra, though.

Try to take apartment which is in building without reception and problem solved.

I have found there to be differences between brancas and negras in Brazil. In general, Brasileiras are definitely curvier than their North American and European counterparts. Chalk it up to DNA and diet perhaps. If you want a curvy branca who does anal, you can easily find them in Brazil. That's the advantage of traveling to Brazil. However in my opinion, on average there are physical differences.
