I just got in Friday and I'm staying at the Pestana Hotel. Convenient location right on Copacabana Beach. It's pretty ideal, and the hotel has exceeded my expectations after reading many spotty reviews online. On my first night in town I was keen on making my pilgrimage to 4 x4 after all that I've read about it in this forum. With my only reference point to compare it to being FKK Artemis in Berlin, I got to say I was disappointed and felt like it wasn't nearly as nice as I was expecting. Artemis is more spacious, with a full on swimming pool and spa and cinema. By comparison 4 x4 felt dingy, tight quarters, and the dynamic of having everyone confined in the small nightclub didn't feel as stimulating as exploring the maze of rooms at Artemis looking for talent.

After spending the whole day seeing all of the beauty on the streets of Rio, I didn't feel like I came across any 9's or 10's in the room as I had hoped. After seeing so many girls with enhancements, it pushed me to choose the most natural looking girl for an hour session. I believe her name was Mirela, she had a beautiful tan complexion, little natural be-cup breasts, and a cute ass. The room left much to be desired pretty small and minimal. So by that time everything was closed. Caught a great celebration in the streets after Flamengo won the Copa Libertadores final. And then ended up at another awesome street party in Lapa. After only spending my time around Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leblon, being in Lapa was really eye-opening. The architecture of old Rio is gorgeous, and the vibe was so so different with much more diversity and creativity in the streets.

Today, Sunday, was Election Day. Very tense, but interesting to be here nonetheless. Everywhere from my hotel, to the bank around the corner where I went to use the ATM were turned into voting stations. The majority of the people around Rio had Lula stickers on, occasionally chanting his name in the street. With most (all?) mongering establishments closed on Sunday and me not wanting to go two back-to-back days not having a session, so I took to gparena, the local ads and review site. I had previously gone through the entire past year of reviews (largely thanks to the google translate feature on the chrome browser) and bookmarked my top 10 providers. Most of the girls don't work on the weekends, so I just started going down my list messaging each of them on Whatsapp to see who would respond and be open to meeting. I messaged 7 girls before finally locking in a date. For context, most of the girls on gparena charge between are $170 to are $200 per hour. The only one that responded asked for are $300 plus are $50 for uber round trip to meet at my hotel. That's a good reason to work on Sundays, cause I was left with no other options. That being said I would love to connect with some of the vets on this forum that know this town inside and out. Have I even been to Rio if I don't make the rounds with Vagabundo1? Friday, Vagabundo and Dandyman left Transamerica together at 1720 on the bus (always get a bus pass if you book a room at av gastao senges 395). It was raining. The bus was late. It's Brazil. So it goes.

So, then Dandy joined us. It is just around the corner. We having busted nuts, walked over to where Noemie Bilas was working. She got there, and Vagabundo again paid 85 reais for a half hour and fucked her, while Dandy and PV went over to terma 31, around the corner from MV30. Good talent there apparently. There is so much good talent at these so called trash termas, as bubba boy says, and Vagabundo echoes.

So, then we called an uber to go to Feira Sao Cristavao. That was a good call. We had a great dinner for 40 reais each, dirt cheap, and so good at nordestina place. Oh, Brazil, what a great country. This place is so much fun. Definitely go. 10 reais cover to get in. Dancing. Young women (all wearing Lula stickers).

Someone else probably can answer this better. There are taxis waiting in front of 4 x4. It will take longer to get Uber in front on 4 x4. That is why some of us walk to Av. Pres. Vargas to get Uber. But there is a danger being robbed when walking there.

Hi, I read tons of pages on the is forum (thanks for the great info). I am settled on mainly checking out Solarium and maybe 4 x4.

I want to say that I read somewhere (but can't find it now) that solarium and 4 x4 both have a lounge area where you don't have to change into bathrobe. Is that correct?

Also is it safe to walk from Hilton to dolce vita and the clubs near dolce vita? Seems silly to take a Uber one block but some people say Uber even one block at night LOL.

Finally, is safe to take Uber from 4 x4 to copa late at night (after midnight)?

First, you chose wisely.

Second, I think I've seen people in street clothes at 4 x4. Solarium. Don't think so.

It's more than 1 block, but it wouldn't occur to me to Uber from Hilton to Dolce Vita. My personal safety standards still allow me to walk along Av. Atlantica even at night, but yes, people have been mugged even on Atlantica. That's totally up to you, but I don't know if any Uber will take you for such a short ride at night, so get a cab.

Anyways, get to Monte Carlo and not sure if it was the same Saturday that Nuppter visited, but I had the same opinion. There were only three girls and no other customers besides me. Went to Rio this past weekend and it started really bad. My first flight out of Lax had a mechanical issue that lasted about 4 hours. Yep, missed my connection. The airlines did what they could to help matters out with accomodation and food taken care of that night but with such a short trip, it only helped a little bit. Siinday, I was thinking of going to vm since everything in centro would be closed. Centaurus is very overrated in my opinion. They charge more because of their reputation and nice facilities but the girls quality isn't higher than other termas. I actually found it lower quality and they had less girls. Personally I probably won't visit Centaurus again.

There was a time it was very good. It was known for having slim Euro looking girls. When Help Disco was active (before 2010) and there were mongers crawling all over the area, Centaurus had a nice niche in the market.

I'm sure there are a lot factors in why Centaurus has fallen. I think one contributing factor is the decline in foreign mongers. Less tourists around to pay top dollar. Anecdotally, I have hooked up with Centaurus girls after their shift. Some I ran into at Help. Others I arranged at the termas to meet later in the area. It's strategic location made it easy to hook-up after hours. The opportunity to make good money at Centaurus and then again afterward surely attracted many hot Rio girls.
