i know this little blurb belongs in the real vs dollar and other currency issues section, but i might as well mention it here. j and i went to lunch and headed to citibank afterwards for him to withdraw some money. he has a citibank account in the us, but for some reason they put a cap on his atm daily withdrawal amount of r$300. the first day here, he was able to withdraw r$800. we ended up having to call citibank from an internet cafe to have them lift the daily cap and increase it to the standard r$1000. they stated they noticed unusual withdrawal activity and decided to place the cap. word to the wise - those with citibank accounts should call ahead before their trip to rio and let them know you will be withdrawing money.

what a perfect day for the beach - sunny and clear. we headed to caesar park hotel again at 3p. i forgot to mention yesterday that we got some beach chairs and forgot to initially ask how much. when we settled the bill, the guy tried to charge us r$10 per chair saying "it's caesar park". i said "caesar park meu bunda" and gave him r$3 per chair. he agreed of course. today, we found a guy that would sell us beach chairs in the same spot for r$2, so go figure. we spent 2 hours on the beach and i was scoping out the talent, and there was plenty on hand. kept looking for sets of girls that might be gdp's, but no luck. in that sea of bodies, it seems i might get luckier seeing the lochness monster. ha.

when you enter the club, there is an outside courtyard that has tables and benches to sit and drink at. then there is a room where there is a dance floor that plays the club music. people mingle in the courtyard and go inside to dance, so it's a cool setup. the dance floor room is a semi-circle type room with a radius of about 50 feet, so not a huge place. there's also a restaurant connected to the dance room.

clientele:
on a saturday night, we arrived at 10:45p and there was no wait in line. the club was at 25% capacity at this time. there were so many girls compared to guys though, about 3 to 1. by 1 am, the club was nearly full. the ratio almost evened out, i'd say 1.25 girls to 1 guy. this club caters to a very young crowd. i would say 40% are in the 18-23 age range, with a lot of the patrons going to puc school across the street. as for the girls, oh my god. heaven on earth. i would say they 70% of them were above an 8, with quite a few 9's in the mix. saw one 50-year old hag who stuck out like a sore thumb. i only saw one guy that looked like he was over 40.

As a result of well-noted and constructive critiques of my archaic, yet, inspiring and informative style of prose, I have decided to put forth an extra degree of effort in this report--and this report only--to attempt to provide a well-thought-out, well-structured essay void of any references that might be construed as racism or any other such derogatory or inflammatory rhetoric.

Let us begin, shall we?

Monday: I woke up later in the afternoon, due mostly in-part to the proper reaming I delivered to Ms. Viviane over the course of the previous night and morning. Upon our resumption of consciousness, we bid each other adieu after first strolling over to the local grocery, which also boasted a 24-hour accessible ATM. When I first informed the young, vivacious Viviane that we would have to parade over to the 'cajero' in order to retrieve the necessary funds to satisfy our agreement, she expressed some discontent. Likely, she did not want to subject herself to the leering eyes of others, who might judge her to be what she actually was--a prostitute.
