I guess that depends on where you live. I was able to drop my passport off at the consulate to get the visa at 11 am and return to pick it up at 3 pm.

Yeah I got a 10 year visa in 2014 from the consulate in NYC in less than a week. From what I heard the New York consulate doesn't BS around.

If it works it's great. The old Discoteca Help became world famous for reasons. Rio was full of gringos, Help attracted lots of people, great location, TA on the outside and nobody could miss it.
I think the new club owner is just using the name "Help", to really become a new Help it takes much more. Lets hope for the best.

I saw LE Boy closed around the Olympics. Funny someone would try this. I doubt under Crivella it could thrive, but I suppose it's a location where the neighbors already were used to noise and sex and will be less likely to complain.

There is no set time frame that you can count on. I feel there will be a run on the Consulate for visas and that ain't good. I am the guy that requires a base of operations and Help was just that. Can't do the Termus thing all the time so we quit going. So this is good news.

So I had day off on Monday and decided to grab an Uber over to some termas I had seen on the main highway in Recreio one time that I was going to a non-pro event way out west. This was some true exploration as the Uber ride alone was R80 going (surge pricing) and R50 coming back.

First stop.

This is a huge multi-level establishment. There is one main bar that is bigger than 4 x4's. The other floors are all rooms. I believe they open at 6 pm and close at 2 am or later. I got there around 8:30 pm and there were about 10 girls and 2 clients other than myself. I only found one of the girls interesting. Name was Viviane, older, jet black hair, fit & tanned samba dancer body. Had to go through a labyrinth of floors and even through a garage at one point to get to the room. She was enthusiastic and alot of fun. After coming back down chatted with her and a couple of the other girls and they all told me the same story: all of the Barra / Recreio spots are dead on Mondays and that other days are much more active. Story made sense to me considering the size of the establishment.

Additional Notes.

- This place turns into a swing club on either Friday or Saturday (or both) nights so beware.

- There is apparently no respect for the non-smoking laws here. About half of the few girls there were smoking directly under the non-smoking law signs. Other girls confirmed to me that on busy nights there are many smokers and the place is like a cloud. If you are a smoker, perhaps this is a positive for you. I am not, so I probably won't be back.

This is about 1 km down the road from Paris. Walked into the main area and there were two girls sitting at the bar chatting and literally no one else in the place. I was the only client. For those from the NY / NJ area, it was like hearing the record cut as you walk into one of those ghost-town South Jersey gogo spots. Chatted with these two girls for a bit and they gave me the same story about Mondays being dead. After a little while two more girls emerged from the bathroom, but none of the four were attractive. Drank one water and left. On my way out the receptionist girl hit me with the dead Mondays story as well, and went on to explain that the majority of the girls take Monday off and come out to work and stay in the area from Tuesday through Friday since it is so far away. She also gave me the names of a couple other spots in Barra, but said they would probably be dead as well.

Conclusion.

Hard to say due to the Monday thing. Paris seems like a fun place to roll out to with a group of buddies on a busy night. Note that both these places were street clothes (no robes).

Quick Zona Sul / Centro Update.

Solarium remains absolutely awesome and is currently the best T1 by far.

MC remains just meh.

4 x 4 is still kind of up & down. Was awesome on one Friday, then shitty on the very next Friday.

Aeroporto has been fun, but the girls can still be tricky. They are supposedly having some kinda lingerie party next Wed the 25th.

Yes, I just got word of this simultaneously from two different ex-Help girls so perhaps the girls are aware? Yes, it is the old Leboy location. I too have been there, and it is a decent sized spot with an interesting layout. Not as cavernous as the old Help and there is a big staircase down to the main area which might prove perilous, but let's hope for the best! Will go on Thursday to scout it out and report back.
