There's literally 7-8 types of room. I literally just asked which one has a stripper pole as I'm not seeing it. Hotel looks nice but is it really too much to say which one just has a pole?
Or I'll just call them when I get in-country, whatever.

My friend. I think the gringos want to assimilate and don't want to look like outsiders even though their assimilation attempts make them stick out a like a sore thumb. I don't even try to assimilate. I know I am an outsider and try to behave as best as I can while I am guest in your country.

Posts: 15I have no idea if you're actually Brazilian or just messing with us but English is great. Great advice too, even when I was hanging with Brazilians and doing "local" type stuff it was obvious that I'm a gringo.
But also Brazilians are super nice people, definitely agree that you should be nice and respectful. One thing I didn't realize was that it's very rude to say "no" or direct refusal to things so had to adapt!

I did the man's work, paying the 400 (breakfast separate).
It was worth it.

Good day gringos. A gringo friend told me about this site. I am having a good time reading how gringos think about our putaria. Sorry if my English is not perfect. I think I understand better than I write, but I will try. I read many pages with help of google tradutor and I am having many laughs. Maybe I can help you understand brasileiros and brasileras a little better. Some of what I read seems like bosta but maybe I am not understanding completely rsrs.
My advice to gringos is be simple and be humble "humilde" them Portuguese. You are guests in Brasil. Have fun with our women but treat them good. Remember Brasileiras are the best in the world. We brasileiros do not deserve them and you gringos do not deserve them also kkk.
One thing I do not understand. Why do you write so much about Barra? Barra is for Brazilian middle class. It is kind of boring place, good if you have children and a car and you like to drive everywhere. But I do not think it is good for tourists. Just my opinion man. Also, a gringo who uses a Vasco shirt is still a gringo. Everyone knows this, "hey look, that gringo is wearing a Vasco shirt. Maybe he does not know that Vasco is terrible team kkk, hope he did not pay a lot of money for that shirt" that is what we think, sorry but true. Its ok gringos, you can wear Vasco shirt, we will pretend that you are Brasileiro too because we are nice people. When I go to USA I will wear Yankees shirt and everyone will think I am Americano yes?

Not seeing any rooms with both a hot tub and stripper pole at Corinto, at least not in the pictures. Which suites provide that? Because it certainly sounds like fun haha.
For those of you mongers getting BBFS: how did you approach it? Last time I went, I enjoyed myself covered. I was also mongering with some local friends and there's definitely a culture around sexual safety so didn't want to kill the mood. But this next time I go I'm 100% dedicated to getting some bare.
I'll get some tests, but is it best to just ask, to just tip, etc? Trip shaping up to be 8-9 days Rio, 2-3 days Sampa, probably mid March or early May.

Going to Rio in a couple months after a disappointing Medellin trip. Haven't been to Rio in I think 10 years. Looking forward to the 5 to 1 exchange rate in the #1 mongering destination before the dollar crashes. I'm reading the board and trying to catch up. What is Casablanca terma. I don't remember that one from back then.
Can someone give a 2022 update on all the main termas and Help type bars that are open now. 10 years is a long time and I feel like a rookie again. Also, what are the top 2 or 3 hotels that are girl friendly and no extra charge. Did the game move to Airbnb instead of hotels. Is Barbarellas still open. Is the rude women at the front desk at Centaurus that always tried to keep your change as a tip still working there. Do they still charge you the whole amount of girl and entrance upfront. How does 4 x 4 look since the fire and remodel. Thanks.

Posts: 2235Bambina is a great sex motel.
The top shelf motel is Panda on Sao Clemente, right around the corner.
Best property IMHO is Sao Clemente 114, Verandas Sao Clemente, especially a ap that overlooks the student hostel with live music into the wee hours. That is a killer pernoite vibe and will get good performance out of the hoars.
My top rec for sex motels is Corinto. Suite with BOTH a hidro and a sauna and of course a stripper pole is recommended.
OK, as for swing, it is all in the attitude.
You go into VM. Go to Casa 13. Cacau (who I was calling Ann Amari) says she will go to nude beach. Next to Casa 13, you can find the girl I call Monique, who I took to the nude beach (abrico). Actually, she requested it. You need a crazy chick like Monique. Monique recruited the white girl, was even having sex with her in the car ride back from the nude beach to my ap, so it was game on from the start. Actually, both Monique and seka, the white girl were blowing me, her husband and several other men on the beach. So, you know, swing is a thing that happens, it's not just limited to ClubMixBar in Praca XV, or in Asha in Barra, or 2 a2 in Botafogo. It is a libertine vibe (helped a lot by ganja) that you and your hoar create and then kind of roll along with.

Public transportation.
Vagabundo is not interested in winning any popularity contests. Most mongers will roll out of their av Atlántico hotel, get an uber to 4 x 4, and feel like they are going into combat if they go further than 50 feet from the entrance of the terma in going back.
In the "report of distinction" write up of choco Hunter to VM which I did with Chege and CH, we were at Uruguiana metro. We took the metro to VM by taking the metro from Uruguiana to Sao Cristovao. As I said, this recommends itself because you see alot of SW on the walk from the metro to VM (aim for Mosaico as a search). This also recommends itself because that is how the girl you are fucking will get to Mosaico or VM. She will ride the metro. From Pavuna or another zona norte stop. Or from Supervia from some place way the fuck out there like Campo Grande, to Central, and from Central, in the metro to Sao Cristovao. Or she will take the 457 bus from Norte Shopping to: a) VM (praca bandeira, which historically means slaver's square, updated for the present to mean economic slavery), b) if she is hot enough to copa, as the 457 goes from av nossa copa to norte shopping, via VM.
Lots of praise has been given, rightly, to CH, who. Rides public transportation (and I, right beside him). Several times to sao cristovao station.
From sao cristovao station, a 18 year old hot AF girl can in less than 10 minutes: 1) walk to VM, 2) walk to Mosaico, 3) walk to MassagemTijuca, 4) walk to the Federal University near Maracana, 5) walk to Maracana for a soccer game. And you can too, sports fans.
You can also: A) walk to Motel Malaga, which is one of the two most important historic sex motels for mongering because it was right next to Karla Models or Escort Show (the other was Barao do Flamego, which likewise was next to the agency). For 120 r you would get a reasonably hot girl for 2 hours who would do anal, and many were straight up 10's. You would go into the hotel, and you would call on a land line the agency, and the girl would walk down the street. You could sit there outside the motel and watch a line of girls going to their clients beginning in late morning. This was 2007 to 2012 or so. I've never been to help, but I miss that profile of mongering the way many of you seem to miss help B) walk to a series of super eateries and bars, lead by Aconchega Carioca, or botta bar. These locations were a block or less from now defunct club red light, and two blocks from Mosaico.
I am a 1% compared to most of you. I was a Naval Infantry Officer, with all that entails, like speed walking 9 miles in 90 minutes with 152 pounds of steel and ammo on my back several times during infantry officers course as a requirement of graduation. Now, even as I am fat and old and my lungs are polluted by weed, I retain those habits of muscle memory, and I get to know a area of operations by walking, and by doing so on the public subway, buses, and light rails that will function even if the internet goes down, and everything goes to crap, short of all out nuclear war. And so will the local, poor, hoar class girls who we all come to Rio to bang. They all expect a uber, but it doesn't mean you have to give it to them. Personally, I make a market by telling girls to take the metro the the stop closest to me, and then taking a taxi to my ap-hotel, which saves 50 r or more on each leg of the trip, and that, again, adds up to 20 minutes of fucking per each 50 r saved.

Barra.
Yes, that is where Vagabundo lives! Classico Beach Club, Barra Posto 1.
The sweet move after you have been bareback banging your 18 year old tier 1 terma girl in Transamerica is:
1. Lets go to Olegario Maciel to eat at Na Brasa Colombia, where the food is always top shelf, especially.
Filet de Peixe Bel Munier with side of rice and batata Portuguese with a garafe of lemonade Suisse, and maybe a palmito salad (250 r).
2. Stroll over to Classico Beach Club for the top trending instagram photos of your young narcissistic existence, which will make her love you more, even if you are not exactly a match. If you rent the chairs and pay for the bucket of Heineken it can cost upwards of 200 r, so be advised (cheaper and just as good at P6, where one can walk from Transamerica.
In contrast to the water anywhere in copa, and even out to leblon, the water is clean.
The actual winners and actual beautiful people in Brazil live in Barra. They leave the losers in the tourist bubble of Zona Sul. I'm not saying, but I am just saying. Czech in effect concurs.

There's a great youtube channel called Czech in effect where the guy goes to different countries around the world and vlogs.
https://youtu.be/B2t824qAOlU
This video is in barra but he goes to centro, copa and others parts of rio. For the many americans scared of going to rio or Brazil in general, its a pretty friendly place. The most people do is try to snatch your expensive iphone, gold chain or sunglasses. Petty stuff that you can avoid by not being a clueless traveler.
The gangs in rio are very aware that rio thrives from tourists money and so tourists are not targeted. Plus they don't want police trying to come into their communities (favelas but they don't like people calling it that anymore. They are proud people that are proud where they come from) they even allow tour guides in different favelas and warn gang members not to rob tourists or they'll have their hands cut off. The only people that will rob you are desperate young guys on bikes trying to make a quick buck from your phone. Centro is also bad for pickpockets because lots of homeless but again just desperate people and not criminals.
Contrast that to Mexico where the cartles don't care anymore.
https://nationalpost.com/news/world/...ttack-from-sea
Its funny because I also had several warnings about Brazil but mexico and Guatemala where lots of tourists go for a nice holidays, are the places where I saw police and private security with shotguns and rifles in full tactile gear protecting the local mcdonald's and pizza hut.

I use both. I think it is good to learn how to take public transportation. I would look at the estimated time and I would either take metro or Uber. Sometimes, I would take metro and get Uber on the train so I don't have to wait for Uber.
It depends on where you go, sometimes Uber's wait time can be long, metro doesn't necessary takes longer when you factor into wait time.
I also like to walk around and checkout random local stuff and metro will enable me to do that. If I always take Uber, I would not find out many street food places that I found by walking and take public transportation. When someone writes about how to take public transportation on a route. I will try it if I get a chance to experience it. I usually stay at a place longer than a few weeks so I am not in a rush as well.
