First, Gaucho9 thanks for the update.

I see people are still lamenting about the closure of Help. I am not sure anyone is really surprised that it was closed. At its peak, Help was quite a spectacle inside and out. Just the array of talent in the cafes outside would blow your mind. Many of us never made it into Help many evenings. The craziness spilled over into some of the buildings near Help. Entire low-rent apartment buildings were seemingly occupied by beautiful young girls. They were affectionately called Hooker Hotels. One trip a local guy hooked me up with a really dumpy apartment in one of these buildings for two nights until we could make other arrangements. The hallways came alive after sunset as the girls started doing their hair, putting on their make-up, trying on skimpy dresses, squeezing into their tight jeans all the while chatting it up from one room to another. I can only imagine it was somewhat like a sorority the evening of a big social. The entire area around Help (ground zero) became a circus focused on the world's oldest profession. Given Rio and Copacabana Beach's history as a world class tourist destination, you kind of felt something had to give.

When Help was operating, we would meet girls from all over Brazil who seemed to dress a little nicer and act a bit classier than most programa girls. Beautiful girls from Sao Paulo, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre and other areas would literally get off buses, get put up by friends and show up at the cafes outside Help later that night. The supply of girls always seemed to expand to meet the increasing amount of single men traveling to the beaches of Rio from North America and Europe. The Brazilian summer seemed to bring the girls looking to earn a little scratch in somewhat anonymity while enjoying some beach time. We ran into some beautiful underpaid teachers sitting outside at Terrazzo Atlantico.

I have not been to Rio since Help closed. Do you see girls from all over Southern Brazil working the game / programa in Rio in the summer? There were always some girls from elsewhere in the termas, but I have a feeling there are probably very few now in the entire city. Help was like the New York Stock Exchange. It was a national exchange for pussy bringing buyers and sellers together. As they say, it provided liquidity for all participants.

I have read on several websites that termas Montecarlo and Solarium are closed. However, here some people say that Montecarlo and Solarium are now open again. Is it true?

More generally, I have two weekends to spend in Rio and I was looking for some termas or massagem open Saturday and / or Sunday. Can you please tell me some places?

Also places where I can meet girls and take them to motel are fine (I prefer place with "at least" averege quality girls).

I went by monte carlo club tonight (Sunday) and it was closed. I thought they were open sundays. Did they just change Sunday hours, or are they closed for a while?

Ok, I'm going to be staying in Barra the Tijuca at the Windsor Barra hotel. Couple of questions (it's been 6+ years since I've been to Rio, and even then I wasn't all that well informed) :

1) anyone know if Windsor Barra is girl or guest friendly?

2) any good termas or massagems in / around Barra the Tijuca?

Mr. Lam is a great space and IMHO a shitty Chinese restaurant. When I went there, I left thinking Panda Express was better LOL.

Panda Express? I admit the food wasn't that memorable, but Panda Express? LOL. LOL.

I went once to Mr. Lam with a local girl that wanted to check the place. Personally, I admit being more impressed by the bill (Ouch!) and the decoration (ancient warriors and a table built around a Lamborghini engine from Eike Batista' boat). Despite so many people claiming how the Rio scene has died, the reality is that things are business as usual. The ladies are still as hot and they still love sex as much as ever. The only real change has been an increase in costs and the closer of a large shit-hole (sorry HELP lovers). I travel all over the globe and love all types of dames yet I come back to Brazil again & again. Look forward to another visit in a couple of months.

I spent a week in Rio during July. Previously I had visited the city around a dozen times. This is a list I made for myself with added commentaries. Hope it helps someone.

It was right after the big termas turmoil (Centaurus, L'Uomo. Gone but not forgotten). So I did some research for new places (Red Light) , checked old ones (Montecarlo, Solarium.) and added some information from my past visits. It is, as always, quite subjective. But it works for me.

Best Termas in Centro:

Red Light Club. Rua Pereira de Almeida 73 (Pça the Bandeira) /M. Fri 17:00. 24:00.

Entry + 40 minutes program Total: R$ 180.

This is the new club that everybody is talking about in local forums. Great prices, great talent. A few girls from Centaurus. Several freelancers from Barra VIP and Hot. Dark space, small boite, good strip shows. It has become one of my favorites. Don't expect a luxurious space. Mainly local clients. Easy to reach by Metrô (Estacio / Alfonso Pena). Safe area. There's a taxicab stand just around the corner (Praça the Bandeira).

4x4 . Rua Buenos Aires 44 / M. Fri 14:00. 02:00.

Entry: R$ 50 / One hour program: R$ 240 / Total 1 hour: R$ 290.

A classic. Closed during the turmoil, but opened again. My impression is that will last forever. Mostly local business types and lots of tourists. Large space. Several floors with long corridors. Always great talent. More than 60 girls. Entry waived if you session before 6pm. Easy to reach by Metrô (Uruguaiana).

Termas 65. Rua dos Rosario. 65. Centro / M. Fri 14:00. 24:00.

Entry: R$ 90/40 minutes program: R$ 240 / Total: R$ 330.

Most expensive termas in Centro. Sometimes, worth it. Sometimes, not. More upscale than 4x4. Up to 40 girls, some really beautiful. A good time to stop by: 5pm. Very close to 4x4 (Metrô Uruguaiana).

Termas 502. Rua the Alfândega. 65 (corner of Rio Branco) /M. Fri 14:00. 02:00.

Entry: R$ 20/40 minutes program: R$ 140 / Total: R$ 160.

A good bargain if you find the right garota. Good time to stop by: 7pm. By 9pm it's already dead. Noisy and loud. Funky music. Cheap entry with three drinks, that you can share with the girls. Very close to 4x4 (Metrô Uruguaiana).

Best Termas in Copacabana and Lagôa:

Monte Carlo. Rua HiláRio de Gouvêa. 19. Copacabana / M. Fri 15:00. 02:00 / Saturdays 15:00. 24:00 / Sundays 16:00. 24:00

Entry: R$ 80/40 minutes program: R$ 280 / Total: R$ 360.

Montecarlo has benefited immensely from the other termas' close down. Someone wrote in this forum that right now they have the best talent ever. Possibly. I understand that it also was closed in May, but reopened without hassles. Relaxed and fun. I met several Centaurus girls. All at Montecarlo prices. Good timing. Probably the best option in Rio right now.

Solarium. Rua J. J. Seabra. 21. Jardim Botânico / M. Fri 15:00. 02:00 / Sat 16:00. 23:00.

Entry: R$ 80/40 minutes program: R$ 280 / Total: R$ 360.

Solarium is another termas fitted for the locals. Up to 40 girls. Some big bunda type girls, lots of blondes. Here, you'll need good portuguese skills. No Metrô. You always need a cab for the Lagôa. Nice area. If you've got some extra time, walk a few blocks along the lake to Mr. Lam (the Chinese restaurant owned by Eike Batista, the wealthiest man in Brazil).

Best Privés:

Privés open usually from 10:30 am to 7:30 pm. Monday to Friday. Office hours for office types. Prices: Around R$ 100 per hour. The best ones are all located in Centro. And there are lots of them. Lots. I added the one at Copacabana (R. Tonelero, not-so-great) , for the lazy ones.

One suggestion? Roberta Bergamasky. I called this girl that had been the on the cover of Sexy magazine and. Really spectacular! Vips is not precisely an inexpensive place. But I reserved one of the suites with sea view. And Roberta was worth every penny.

Rio is a great place. Still is. I have seen it change over the years but there are some things that will never change: Brazilian girls (pros and non pros) love sex."Transar" as they call it. It's in their genes. They are passionate, beautiful and some of the best sexual performers in the world.
