Just got back yesterday and mostly stayed with my favorite girl but I did have a little time to play. Played only at the termas and will report on that. 65, the wiskeria was closed and only the boites was open. This to me was for the better. The wiskeria was good and relaxing but sometimes too calm. I can't speak for anyone else but for me, I personally enjoy the adventure. Hopping on the metr, get off on Uruguaiana and tracking it for a while until I get to my destination of choice (s). Its definitely a personal preference, plus I like to people watch from time to time. One time I happened to be on the same train with a 4 X4 girl and we walked in at the same time.

I used Uber to go between the beach and Centro for a few weeks at $10/ rids on average. It's a better use of my time. To enjoy the city and the beach and monger on both arenas.

Staying in Centro is actually a good plan, and a good first step for a monger who wants to basically move to Rio for a longer period.

Yes, security appears more difficult (but in reality it is safer than Copa, as the criminals looking for gringo victims go to Copa; who would ever in their right mind stay in Centro, so why would the high probability criminal go to centro looking for a gringo victim? The simple answer is wear a vasco shirt). The plus side is logistics. Many of the centro terma girls stay in the termas. Offer a cheap pernoite after work. 300 reais to stay with a decent client instead of sleeping in a cabin in a centro terma? Once you get the girl in the room, the pussy ass and mouth are pretty much the same as any room whether it overlooks barra beach or praca republica.

There is a great book, let us now praise famous men. Top of that list for me would be Jimmyboy, and for this week, Nounce, for their preference for what I call Senor Sperto Spartan mongering. Amigos, I returned this week to wonderful Rio. Today I made my first adventure to the always reliable Darkroom, all was going well until about half way thru when I pulled out and realized that the condom had broken. One can stay in Windsor Guanabara Hotel in Centrol for a few days to experiment. This is a more expensive, nicer hotel in the middle of many places with girls that are open during daytime. For example, walk to RB156 around noon, after sex, walk to 4 x4 to enjoy the sauna, shave, brush your teeth, shower, rest and have a drink, and do what you go to 4 x4 to do. If you feel like doing something else, leave to go sightseeing, there are plenty of things to see, everything is within walking distance. If you want to rest, walk back to hotel or to 4 x4. If you are hungry, go out to have dinner, checkout the places that starts to open, then you can go back to 4 x4 again. Why limit yourself to only one visit when you can go as often as you want. LOL.

For people with a budget and don't need environment like home and willing to be out of your comfort zone, this is something to consider.

Across the street from Uruguaiana metro station is an average bakery called All Sabor. This is just one of the many bakeries have more variety, cleaner and cheaper than the popular ones I have been to in the tourist area.

Mainly for the beach and I'm guessing it will be easier to get by with my lack of Portuguese.

I've only done one trip to Rio (I'm trying to get out again now) my advice is first timers should stay in the Copa / ipanema areas.

But you need to get into Centro to enjoy rio to its fullest. It's nice to get out of Copa.

I used the metro all the time, it's cheap, frequent & safe. Obviously there's a walk at the end so it can take an hour to get to a place, but what else are you doing. Failing that taxis are cheap.

I am thinking staying in botafogo next time. For me Copa doesn't offer much after a week or so. Although I know some guys never leave Copa and seem to enjoy themselves. But getting to Centro is well worth the small effort.
