Well Two out of the three of us found our phones missing on arrival at hotel! The hands on had been hands IN pockets. Both of us spent half the night changing passwords etc. Mega buzz killer. Just don't walk at night period IMO.

Sorry to hear that Steve, love all your reports. Still not sure what exactly happened to you here, who were you walking with and who got your phone? Anyways most important thing is hope you're safe and got the accounts sorted, best of luck.

I had a girl come over yesterday for some afternoon delight, I met her in dolce vita one night and she asked me if I've ever been to Kalabria, I said no. She told me two people got shot dead there last night and she showed me the security video. I go to the bar and ask how much is a medium bottle of champagne? Almost 300 reais LOL, I said give me a beer and I never return to this beauty. I go over and talk to this beautiful MILF type, I asked her how much for you to go with me, she said you pay the house 1,000 reais, I said you're kidding, I finished my beer and left.

Tried searching for this shooting online, don't see any news. You would think this would be big news, no? I know it's Brazil but still this is in the middle of Copa, not some favela.

I went to Casablanca for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Agreed on the drinks, total rip off. 77 reias for a mixed drink like Red Bull vodka. In terms of the girls, I don't know if there was miscommunication but that $1,000 is ridiculous. I made a huge mistake of getting a room there as I thought it might be like a terma LOL, it was tiny and more like had a couch rather than a bed. Also I'm certain that there's no facility for the girls there to wash themselves, just tiny bathroom as I went in the back. Anyways lesson learnt, never get a room there. The fee to get a room there is $150 reias or you pay $200 reias to the club to take the girl outside, the lady told me whatever you decide with the girl is between you two but these prices were fixed. I'm not sure where this $1,000 reias came from, that's crazy. I wonder if they were trying to rip you off or there was miscommunication. In terms of the girls, the range was like $300 reias to $600 or so I believe depending on which girl was asking, this does not include the $150/200 you pay to the club.

Steve, I am sorry to hear about your incident and your loss, but come clean, you guys were probably having too good a time and nobody was paying adequate attention to what was immediately going on right in front of you.

In over 30 years of mongering, the only time I felt wandering hands was one night in BKK when I was walking back to my hotel at 2 am drunk on 9 or more shots of Tequila. I stopped to flirt with 2 SW's a block from my hotel. Even though I was out of it, fortunately I was aware enough to feel a hand attempting to lift my wallet from my back pocket. I stopped her just in time and she apologized. I laughed and told the 2 of them to beat it which they did. I was lucky. The moral of my story is always pay attention to your surroundings and who you allow to enter your personal space.

Anyway, I am looking forward to reading your RJ report. And again, it is too bad about your loss. I do feel your pain. I would not enjoy losing my Samsung S21 Ultra to a pretty pickpocket.

So after my trip to SP I ventured across the land to the land of the cariocas.

Outstanding and insightful trip report, thank you. I'm debating on making a trip to RJ or SJ and this has helped me understand where the best spots are.

SOLARIUM:

Unlike Whiskeria Cuatro por Cuatro (4 x 4) Solarium would not let me take a photo of the price card. I asked, "What if I want to tell my friends. Do you want me to rely on memory?" to which the guy, there were two women also, somewhat cheekily replied that they could come here and the staff would be happy to tell them all about it. Sigh. So I memorized the one hour pricing and headed out the door to put the details in a note:

Prices in Reales.

(At posting time 100 equals about $27 CAD, $19 USD, 16 Pounds, 18 Euros.).

150 entrada, 180 cabina, 470 the girl = 800.

If you pay everything in cash its 730.

If you pay the entrance in cash when entering you "win," a free drink.

If you pay for the girl with a card it's, I think, 50 more? Sorry. Some info leaked out of my brain as I exited. It's definitely more though.

WHISKERIA cuatro por cuatro (4 x 4):

60 entrance, 310 30 minutes, 430 60 minutes.

As you reported the entrance is waived if you take a girl before 6.

No extra charge for using a card; No discount for using cash.

It's worth noting that 4 x4 (smartly) uses two card processing networks. So if one doesn't work, as was the case with me, the other likely will.

I'd not heard of this place but might check it out. So thanks for mentioning it.

I will be visiting Rio in a couple of weeks, and I have read posts from the past year to update my info. I am planning to visit Solarium, 4 x 4, and Perola Negra. (And maybe some privees too.).

Here is information I have collected about these places.

Solarium. Entry R120, Girl R490/40 min or R630/60 min.

4 x 4 - Entry 60 (waived if room before 6 pm), Girl R300/30 min or R420/60 min.

Perola Negra. Entry R30, Girl R290/40 min (or R350 with room upgrade).

Does this look like correct current pricing? I have read about super-high takeout fees from 4 x 4, so better to just ask the girl to meet outside. Is it the same at Solarium and Perola Negra?

What are the best times of day to visit these places on weekdays?

" I completely disagree with your sentiment, but then I thought about what possible reasons someone might "stand out," in your words, merely by being with a sexy, young, pro at a 5-star resort like the Hyatt Barra and I came up with 3 possible: 1. The age difference, 2. The girl's appearance or dress, and 3. Bad behavior in public. Probably #3 is the one we all might want to avoid. KKK.

But then you say that you "tend to be more discreet." I don't know what that means. In a hotel or restaurant environment I am probably as polite, well behaved, and civil as you if not more. The definition of discreet is: "careful and circumspect in one's speech or actions, especially in order to avoid causing offense or to gain an advantage. " Interesting. So, what offence do you think I and other punters are causing by being with a pretty working girl at a beach resort or fine restaurant? I think most people don't care who punters are with. I think most people don't pay attention to the other people around them unless their actions cause them to look. We are all narrowly focused on ourselves. So, I don't think anything I am doing with young girls out in public is wrong or should cause any attention. Thus, I am not embarrassed when I am away from the bordello having a good time with a pretty, professional, young girl. It is my business and no one else's. And here is my final point; even if some people are aware of us and one or two is offended by our presence in a restaurant or beach resort; who the fuck cares? KKK.

To be clear, based on your discreet tolerance level, you are not comfortable taking girls back to the Hyatt with you. That's OK with me. I don't care what you do. There are many, many different ways to play the game. Rock on!

Try Termas Solarium Saturdays. It on the north side of the lagoon. Ipanema is on the south side.

The HYATT is my go-to spot when I take a civilian on a date, women love the place!! (I would strongly advice against taking a GDP to the Hyatt because you would stand out and look like an idiot).

Don't know about that. I've brought terma girls there, just telling them to wear civilian clothes was enough. Didn't take them to a pool though.

A couple of thoughts come to mind after reading your latest posts. 1. Concerning "look (ing) like an idiot:" there are 3 main reasons why one might stand out with a girl at a 5 star resort like the Hyatt Barra; the age difference, the girl's appearance or dress, and her behavior in public. As far as these issues are concerned, I mostly don't give a fuck what others think plus I am pretty sure nobody really cares anyway as long as the girl's appearance and behavior is fairly reasonable and not too slutty. The bottom line is I think it depends on the quality of your GDP. For example, I have invited over some very attractive Barra Vip girls & Terma girls and nobody at the Hyatt, staff or guests batted an eye.

My 2nd thought is this: the Hyatt Barra is a great hotel on the nicest, most natural section of Praia Barra. Considering how 1st class this hotel is, the price is very reasonable. All rooms have balconies. The rooms facing the ocean are the most expensive while the rooms facing the lagoon are the least expensive, but both types of rooms have great views so unless the hoel wants to upgrade my room for free which they have done for me a few times, I don't care.

This is going to be brief. Came to Rio for 2 weeks of fun and debauchery, but had to rush back home due to a family emergency. [

The only con I have concerning a stay at the Hyatt Barra is it's location in respect to mongering. It is roughly 40 minutes by Uber to 4 x4 which is not as bad as it sounds since an Uber from Ipanema to 4 x 4 is around 30 minutes, but if one is planning to fool around in Copa late at night at places like Casablanca, Kalabria, MAB's, or Dolce Vita it would be better to stay at a nearby hotel like the Marriott, the Hilton, or Windsor California. Xpartan had a good plan; stay in both areas. It is too bad he had to shorten his trip. But you are a standup guy, Xpartan, to cut your trip short on account of a "family emergency". A lot of jagoffs wouldn't.

Lastly, I am planning a little road trip with my favorite Scandallo girl whom I have known for over a year and a half. First, we are going to drive to Ilhabela and stay there for a few nights, and then we will continue up the coast to RJ where we will stay at the Hyatt. Valerie is a real nice looking, tier 2 Scandallo girl. She does not look like a pro. I can take her anywhere although there is a significant age difference.
