As a South Asian guy, absolutely there's racism in Thailand. And I understand that even for white people it's not a truly open place. Asia in general is super racist. As for better looking in general, I agree regular civilian girls in Thai malls or subway are very cute, more my type than the ones in, say, So Paulo. But I wouldn't say that for the paid talent.

I was able to enter all clubs in Phuket. I was denied entry to 1 club in Bangkok with that "members only" bullshit. Also denied entry to one club in Pattaya. Then there were some clubs where I had to pay some money in advance to be let in (went towards drinks usually). Some white customers were required to do that on occasion too, but never any southeast Asians. And like you said, you get inside of some of these places, and you find there's nothing special about the talent that stands out. Very insulting.

As to racism, I may grant you that but only in a few countries, like Japan and South Korea. I have not experienced any racism in the other SEA countries.

For the best experience, I would take a quick taxi to Solarium on to the other side of the lagoon. You have to watch traffic on-line to make sure you are not traveling in peak traffic. Traffic getting around the lagoon, can bottle up. Monte Carlo is closer, but more hit or miss.

Thinking ahead, perhaps you can buy your SO a spa package or something like it. The problem with top tier termas is that they don't get going until early evening and over the dinner hours.

I plan on hitting up Solarium on Monday for one last session with my favorite there, and then it's back to the states. This trip was characterized by amazing weather and a higher level of service and freakiness among the providers than the summer- which is surprising and welcome. I still plan on traveling to SEA for a few months this upcoming Summer of 2022 but I have to say Brazil keeps making me reconsider- these Terma girls just love sex and love to take care of you in any way you can imagine. What aspects of SEA do you prefer over Brazil? I guess it's cheaper, better English, and the food might be a bit better. But the girls are much less attractive (most gogos are filled with just chubbies) and the performance is very hit or miss. Brazil has been much more consistent in terms of both looks and performance, IMO. Plus it's in a very similar time zone to the US, so I can actually do a work-ation thing and also not have to deal with jetlag. Plus Brazilians seem to be more friendly and less racist too. The only thing SEA has over Brazil is a much higher proportion of very passable ladyboys haha.

I have been reading the forms for several months. Appreciate all the info. Landed Tuesday and have been relaxing on the beach in Copacabana. I have only checked out deliriooriental so far. New Year's Day. City is mostly closed, including privees in Centro.

With some downtime, decided to investigate the orange public bicycles (Bike Itau) scattered around the city.

I downloaded the Bike Itau app and registered a new account with my email, passport number, and credit card. I selected the Mensual Completo plan for $r39 per month. Within a few minutes, I was on my way from Catate to Gloria to Cinelandia to Carioca, then up to Av Presidente Vargas and finally Uruguaiana. I walked around for a while, but almost everything was closed, except for some restaurants and bars.

So I grabbed another bike, but this time the ride was different. Every time I turned the pedal, the bike would give me an extra boost. I pedaled again, and the bike boosted again. After a few minutes, I learned that I had chosen an electric bike. My first ever experience on one. It was actually a lot of fun, and obviously much easier to maneuver with the motorized assist. So apparently there is a mixture of normal and electric bikes available for use.

Overall Bike Itau is a fair price, good exercise, and the electric bicycles are quite fun. It's worth checking out.
