Today Thursday started out as cloudy and rainy. I was a top the Marriott hotel during the day about 11 am, the sun wanted to come out, there were some female tourist there, one I spoke to was from the UK, Other two was so white looked like Americans. Then a nice couple comes to the pool, he is white, she is bronze and sweet and beautiful, I admire them.

A white American woman comes to the pool, mid 30's, I speak to her, she responds, we have lunch at the pool, while having lunch at a table I take a look at the nice couples girl because she is so beautiful, by my surprise, she locks eyes with me, I find this interesting. I now reevaluate what they are, he is a young business man, and she is a GDP and very fine one indeed. She doesn't stop giving me the eye, for the next 2 hours. He leaves once and I go to approach her but he returns and she looks the other way.

The American woman I was having lunch with I couldn't get off the ground because of her time constraints and commitments, what a shame, she was really nice. I leave the pool empty handed.

I return to the Marriott bar at night about 11 PM, have drinks and dinner at the bar. I encounter 2 GDP's form the other night, top notch stuff, we converse about their business in general in a post Help era. The one girl tells me business is better for her now because in Help there was more competition and now in the Marriott she gets business men to pay her price and she is out of there in less than an hour.

The girl from the pool enters the bar with a friend and sit next to me, I ask her if she knows who I am from today at the pool and where is her boyfriend, she says he is sleeping, I tell her then she must have done a good job on him. She says he is leaving soon and she is looking for a new boyfriend. They ask me if I'm staying in the hotel, I tell them I am staying in Rocina. I don't like her personality and everybody moves on.

I go to Melt, nothing happening

I go to Emporium and nothing is happening

I go to Balcony and nothing is happening.

I go to Dolce Vida and it is packed, many girls approach me and former bouncers from Help, everybody is hugging me, I see the famous Juliana, she lost 8 kilos by easing up on the drinking, she looks good.

I spot a young cute very white skin girl with jet black hair, we connect, I talk to her about the swing club, she is interested to come with me some , she likes the idea and has been before, she likes girls and guys, she wants to do some heavy screwing.

I take her to my apto, good stuff, up for a good time, BBBJ, DFK, she will be a good company for 2a2 on my next venture.

Thats funny I didnt criticize you for paying too much. You did give a price on what you paid so i gave a price on the shuttle. I didnt say it was too much for the taxi or not. I would like to know what is the difference between a taxi and a shuttle though.

You know Smokers Rule, there are definitely a whole lot of self appointed Brazilian experts in this forum. They just can't allow others to experience Brazil the way you want to. And they will haggle over R10. Well maybe some people can afford the extra reais. Like they have to "one-up" someone. Now I could see if you asked them a question, which you didn't. No I wouldn't do the taxi tour thing, but if you like it, who are we to judge. But there may be a time when we may want to do it your way. It's great to know your point of view, because it may come in handy.

thanks to everyone who replied to my paranoid gringo safety thoughts, especially exec talent and brazil specialist. to bs, repeating your safety report would be very useful to rio newbies like me.

i did go to luomo and had no trouble, following the excellent directions given here and in the rio guide. the experience was good, but not fantastic. there were about 15 girls to about 5 guys, but there were only 2-3 guys in the lounge at any given time, so not too crowded. i would rate the girls there from 5 to 8 on a 1-10 scale in terms of looks and body, with most about 6 or 7 (on my scale, 6 means i could do them).

my taste runs to more petite, so the best-looking one was [CodeWord901], a bleached petite pretty pale blonde with nice tits and friendly enough. not much english but that's okay by me, and unlike previous reports, she did dfk. her bbbj was only average though, but we had a good time, and she stayed for the whole time cuddling after the main fireworks were over. i then opted for dark chocolate and sampled mel (or something like that), a petite dark-skinned girl who seemed to love dancing. while she was sensuous in the lounge, with great dfk, she was less interested in the room and also gave only a so-so bbbj. total cost was 540 reals for the 2 girls and 3 drinks.

again, it was fun and the girls were friendly (even to a foreigner like me), but the atmosphere and quality of the girls was nothing like a german fkk, which for me is still the best mongering experience. also, i saw prettier and tighter brazilian girls (9's on my scale) at lady marmalade parties in london, so the quality was a little disappointing (recognizing, of course, that this was only 1 night at 1 termas).

I have used them three times, and they have been at the airport waiting for me with a sign every time. They charge R55 for airport pickup and dropoff, and I think they can supply an English speaking driver if you need one.

Flights back home usually leave late at night, so I generally hire this company to provide a "city tour" that ends at the airport. The city tour is a minimum of 5 hours at R25 per hour. I usually go see some sights and then head to the termas before going to the airport. This works out well because, having used them before, I know I can trust them to keep my bags when I'm sightseeing/termasing.

That is a reasonable price for airport pickup given the personal level of service. Same for the city tour. Sounds like you found a winner.

I recently went to Rio. Went to Barbarella, Balcony, and Solarium. A couple of pictures are in the photo gallery section.

Barbarella: I don't think this is a terrible option. You'll end up paying about US200 TLN for top shelf girls. As long as you get a good girl, not bad.

Balcony: I didn't like Balcony the first night I went because it was hot. The bathrooms are not stellar, but they are not as bad as some have made them out to be. I have been in worse. There are a LOT of girls, and they are very hungry here. The key is pouncing on the ones you want when you want them. I had a couple of cousins I was going to leave with R400 for both TLN, but I let them get away. You can definitely find ST 100-150 and LT 200-250 here easily. This is a great place...very busy.

Solarium: This was my first time at Solarium. I actually went to 4x4, but it was Saturday and they were closed. Solarium is more expensive...it ended up being something like R330 for 40 minutes. There were fewer girls, and the quality was lower than 4x4. On the good side, the girl I took (Josie? Joyce?) did a monster deepthroat...definite PSE. There was slobber everywhere. How enjoyable.

Craigslist girl: My final night in Rio, I met a girl from Craigslist. We pre-negotiated R400 for TLN. She actually just arrived back in Brazil. This must be true, as we met for dinner, and she rolled up in her own Mercedes. She spoke lovely English (British accent) and she was very sweet.

Something interesting I learned from her: £120 seems to be the going rate for lower- and medium-end London escorts. Of this, £20 goes to the driver, £50 goes to the agency, and £50 goes to the girl. That's less than I thought.

The best part about my recent trip was that I found a reliable contact in Rio. He is an American living in Rio for 8 years, and he is about 40 years old. I always like to have a contact in the places I go just in case I ever need anything. I paid him R100 a day to negotiate with girls/call girls/hang out. As I don't speak Portuguese, this was definitely worth it. At Balcony, I was basically like, "Okay, I want those girls," and he would go negotiate the price. I didn't even have to get up.
