So I go and do a prive on Saturday after Posto 10 with a ISG wingman who got a airbnb out in Recreio. The fuck is a hate fuck as the girl is a repeat prive girl who I stood up and has been obsessing over me. When you look at the economics of the high end cunts in the termas, it just sucks for us as consumers. They think 530 r an hour, and then they do this retarded Brazilian ohlo grande math and try to multiply it, and you get girls saying oh, I can make 10,000 reais a week, but they really can't. Not for anything longer than their first few weeks if they are super hot, and then other girls talk to them and you get this fucking bullshit where they think they deserve it.

Also for those who use it in Rio and Sao Paulo, what's the range of allowance you're offering girls and they're accepting? In the US, usually I'd offer 200 USD as lowest for maybe a few hours. Not sure what I should offer here and negotiate here, and how long a date it would be.

here is a short guide for our brothers who haven't yet tried the 8th Wonder of the World, which is an all-you-can-eat Brazilian steakhouse.

Just to be clear this is for newbies, not experts or residents.

2. The first thing you must remember is that a Churrascaria is a business. They want to keep everyone happy and yet spend as little money as possible. How? By serving you loads and loads of inferior meats.

3. Good things come to those who wait. If you really want to get some quality meats -- and you must because you're paying American / European prices -- you'll have to say Nao Obrigado muitos vezes. Otherwise, you'll quickly find yourself totally full, out of breath and completely fucked by your friendly and smiling meat carver. Look at Brazilian customers at the tables around you. They aren't rushing anywhere.

4. Here are the most important words to remember: Picanha, Alcatra, and Fraldinha, or prime top sirloin, top sirloin and bottom sirloin. I personally love Fraldinha better than the other two, but that's because I'm strange and different. Most prefer Picanha, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

6. I also like lamb cuts. All kind of them. When I hear carneiro, the happiness is there. Almost rhymes.

7. Ribs are called costelas. Costela for beef ribs and costela de carneiro for lamb.

10. I have a rule. If I don't get the meat I want after 5 waiter rounds or 15 minutes, I'll tell them to bring me some of the stuff I want. It always worked for me in Brazil.

11. What to do in the meantime? Their buffets are fabulous. Some people forgo buffets. They work on a concept of stuffing themselves with as much meat as humanly possible. I don't know. I just gorge on delicious food.

This is a very instructive primer for would be 1st time Churrascaria customers. I can only add that one of the main traits that separate a great Churrascaria from an ok or average Churrascaria aside from the quality of the meats is the length of time between serving rounds. A great Churrascaria does not make its customers wait a long time for the best cuts. My favorite Churrascaria is Barbacoa in Itaim Bibi, SP. This restaurant has top quality meats and they have a fast rotation of their best cuts.

Warning: this is a very popular restaurant with the locals, and they are always busy and full of customers. As a result, I either go there early around 12:15 pm before the huge lunch crowd arrives, or around 6:30 pm before the full capacity dinner crowd arrives to avoid waiting for a table. But no matter when I go there, they are always very friendly and accommodating towards me. It is a great restaurant. And interestingly they have two other branches in SP that I know of, but those two branches are menu driven ie you pick the specific cut you want and a side or two and that's that. 2 thumbs up for both Barbacoa styles.

This one is at the low end. She is average looking. If she is better looking, I would try to talk her down to 800 which she may refuse. If you want people to help you, you need to provide more information, like what the girl looks like and the price she is asking. You are giving out information so others can help you.

Sao Paulo is no longer a cheap place for good looking pro any more, and non-pro will probably be selective, at least when they just start out

I actually happened to like Marius (before the allergy for shellfish hit me with a hummer), although I'm a bit confused about the pricing. Are you sure 250 was for seafood buffet and not regular buffet (the regular also includes some seafood)? Because I can swear it cost me more (I've been there 2 or 3 times and don't remember ever leaving it without dropping a Benjamin and a change). Of course, that would include the drinks, deserts and tips, but it couldn't have been another $50.

Again, the food in Marius is top-notched if very pricey unless my memory plays tricks with me, but what can I say? We're spoiled here in NYC.

By the way, that Argentinian joint Gran Parilla that Axel mentioned, is a great sit-down steakhouse and the price tag there wasn't offensive to my senses, LOL. And it's around the corner from Hyatt that houses a fantastic Michelin sushi joint if you happen to be nearby. Very pricey, but I liked the food better than Leblon Sushi.

I was in dolce vita last night, at 1 in the morning the place was packed with girls not many guys, some good looking girls too. I would have liked to take them all home but I only took 2. my lifestyle in the USA is very different from how I would live in dot dot dot fill in the blank (SP, RJ, BKK, or Pat). And when I am visiting SP or RJ or wherever, I behave very differently from the way expats like yourself behave mainly because time is of such an essence for me so every night when I travel is boate, terma, or repeat favorite boate girl night.

I want to add that same as with the girls, I eat differently when I am on a trip compared to what I eat at home. For starters, in south Florida I go out to eat maybe 2 x a week with friends. I go to a steak house maybe 1 x every other month. I cut way back on portions and processed carbs. Most nights I bbq skinless chicken breasts or salmon steaks on my patio. I rarely eat pizza or fries (processed carbs). No deserts other than fruit. On the road it is another story. I always eat in restaurants, and I eat everything and anything I want including deserts (sugar). Same as I do with the girls, KKK. No holding back. If I were living full time in SP or RJ I am sure I would cut back on the intake of both and most certainly eat a whole lot healthier. The difference is like how I would run a 100 meters vs running a marathon.

I ate at Marius less than 2 months ago with an ISGer from Italy, and it was $250 r. It's a once a month or quarter spectacular meal for those who love seafood, like me.

I take Senor Anaggie's point that there are perhaps even better restaurants, and women, in SP, but at a higher cost, and without the beach / waterfall hiking combinations which make Rio geographically unique. Its a matter of personal taste, like the Copa / Barra debate being whether you prefer Times Square (copa) or Miami and safety (Barra); SP, I know well too, but its just that I prefer actually swimming in the ocean, while also having a sex menu which is completely full from top to bottom tier, all colors, and for that Rio and Barra is optimal, perhaps a little like the Cartegena of the Marquez novels.

And without meaning any disrespect or harm whatsover, I will suggest that some of those novellas, like Memories of my melancholy working girls by Marquez, might be a good antidote to Brazil Withdrawal Syndrome; I realize that much of what this particular board is is actually just reminicences by men who are not in Rio, and who can only spend a small percentage of their time in Rio due to their circumstances.

Since we're talking restaurants I'll just mention 2 Carioca famous restaurants one is in Copacabana Pavao Azul, during happy hour the crowd is standing in the streets, good Brazilian food and well priced. Another is Jobi in Leblon, same thing happy hour packed, food is Brazilian and great.

It's a good point that quality of food is vital for long term or even short term health in Brazil.

The best source of good food (I prefer to cook at home, and try to get at least as much salmon as red meat) is the feiras.

In that regard, the feira sao cristavao is a great venue for food, and close to vila mimosa and the tijuca prives.

I have said before that my girlfriend's son used to work at a slaughterhouse. He said they butcher 200 heads per day. The good meat they send to the USA and Europe and the bad meat they keep in Brazil. I have never had any good meat at one of those churrascos (or from the grocery store in Brazil). As a matter of fact, last week I ate at a Brazilian churrasco in Kenya (Fogo Gaucho) and the meat was way better than it is in Brazil.
