Very simple, I only used Airbnb for the first time this year in Rio. Airbnb has capability to message the owner of the apartment, every apartment I was interested in I messaged the owner with my questions and one was am I allowed to bring guests into the room? They all responded with yes but no big loud parties. Try it you might like it.

The tourist's attractions already require it so the tourists are already dealing with it. A picture of the CDC card works currently.

Not sure what you mean. What sort of fee?

During the Help era it was a blessing that so many gringos (specially Americans) sent money to their Help-girlfriends believing that they stopped selling sex. These girls had very good economic situations and often f*cked around for free if they liked some guys.

I think the new restrictions officially started yesterday. I saw on the news that several restaurants in Copacabana (E. G Churrascaria Palace) started demanding proof of vaccination immediately yesterday. Next week they will start to hand out fines to those places who doesn't demand vaccination proofs.

My impression is that Rio started these new restrictions because they weren't allowed to demand vaccination proofs from foreign tourist flying to Rio. Right now the covid situation in Brazil looks good, less new cases (but I guess they will most likely enter a new wave in February / March) and many vaccinated. The last thing they want now is a wave of omicron spread by foreign tourists. Rio doesn't want to risk the good health of cariocas because of unvaccinated gringos. These new restrictions are made so the unvaccinated gringos might cancel their trips. The cariocas in general seems to be fine with the restrictions, but if too many businesses looses many maybe they will remove some of the restrictions? Nothing is ever certain in Brazil. My guess many bars and restaurants will go easy on the new restrictions.

I'm vaccinated and I have no problems with the new restrictions. In less than a week I'll be in Brazil. For unvaccinated tourists it might be a pain in the ass. Can't stay in hotels or visit bars, restaurants or clubs. They'll be better off having their holiday outside Rio.

I'm looking forward to pass another New Year in Rio, but I'm starting to believe the celebration will be cancelled. I'll have fun any way, but it's a pity paying expensive money for an apartment during a New Year that might be cancelled.

It's not just Gringos that get screwed.

For over 12 years I have had a BJ master meet me on every vacation, I was introduced to her by Brazil Specialist. (I would have her come over 2-3 times on my 10 day trip). Great price, fantastic head! (Notice I didn't say she was cute! LOL) When I was in Brasil in July, I called her up to see if I could see her and she told me that she was 8 months pregnant and couldn't see me. I congratulated her on her 3rd kid and sent her 150 R as a present for the baby.

Last night out of the blue she texts me on Whatsapp to ask me how I was doing. I told her I was busy packing because I planned on going to brasil on Monday. She excitedly told me she wanted to see me in order to make up for July. I laughed and said "Who is going to watch your baby? Doesn't a newborn need to eat like every 2 hours?" She said "Its ok, I am going to bring him with me. He is only 3 months old, he sleeps all day. I will leave him in the carriage while we "matar saudade!

I was floored that she was going to bring her baby to a client's apartment and suck me off 2 times while her husband was at work!! It made me think of all the gringos who are sending money or in relationships with Brazilians and have no idea what is going on behind their backs. I guess its not just us!!

Equivalent of BRL 10.000 without declaring, more if you declare the money you bring in.

For years or until the novelty wears off or the exchange rate turns bad or the dollar crashes. In the meantime, as the Brazilians say: Live your life.

If you change like 4000 euro you'll earn 800 reais just by crossing the street. It can be even better at Casa Behar or PMTurismo on Av Rio Branco.

I never had done any business with Bobby, but he seems like a friendly fellow. I guess almost all his clients are from the US.
