I personally prefer ST over LT even when I know the girl very well. I did not see any working girls hanging out at the Fairmont when I stayed there, but wowie wa wa, some of the accompanied female guests by the pool were smoking hot. The hotel has a great view and good daytime beach location being situated at the southern end of Copacabana Beach with a very short walk to Ipanema Beach. For nighttime Copa action, however, it is probably best to uber because it is a relatively long walk to the girly bars. Also, rates have shot up thru the roof since I stayed there twice in 2021. Last visit to RJ, I stayed at the far less expensive Windsor California Hotel. I had a room with a balcony facing the beach and it was a much shorter walk to the bars.
