I am a Colomnbia regular, heading soon to Brazil for the first time. I have made a list of clinicas to visit in Sao Paulo. I have some questions about Rio. Could someone help out a fellow monger? Please.

What is the difference between "terman", "clinica" and "prive"?

I am mostly a day time brothel guy, not interested in drinking or dancing, and I am into Latina / European looking women, where should I go in Rio? I only have 4 x4 and Whiskeria 65 on my list so far, these 2 places seem to open in the early afternoon, where else should I visit? Thanks everyone.

I stayed at Copa. It was near Eden spa which was amazing at 150 real. Copas rooms look outdated but it is in the heart of everything. Hilton is cheaper and looks more modern but 30 minutes away. I used uber everywhere and it was good. Pm me anytime with questions. I didn't get much help directly from people but I was able to find info from reading months of posts which is still I great thing and appreciated.

So many months ago I posted about meeting a girl that worked at one of the Termas and starting a relationship with her that was back in November. About two months ago I went to Rio for a couple weeks and spent the whole trip together. She had been working on her English and I have been working on my Portugues and betime we got there we both spoke enough broken English and Portuguese that we could communicate without using Google translate for every message. I think since the couple months that I've been back we on and off three or four times and I think I have to end it at this point. I realize what she does is how she makes her money but what I'm shocked about is if I don't answer the phone the second she calls me she assumes that I am sleeping with another girl, yet she won't answer my video calls and sometimes can take much much longer to respond back which is fine but when she expects one thing and does another it's hard not to get frustrated. Xpartan, I agree with you on the lazy, hardcore description, but only for the Dominican girls. Compared to the Haitians it was night and day. Thank you for your report and I'm sure you'll have a blast in Rio. Here are a few thoughts.

I think you should find a friend or two to visit VM for the first time, or go there during the day. Most rooms are really squalid. Take your girl to a motel.

Lapa is great for a night on the town, but again, it's more enjoyable and safer with a friend or two.

Mosaico can feel a little lonely because on most nights you'll be the only gringo there, but you can just uber there and back, so it's not complicated. I love the joint, but do bargain with girls because they can get carried away when they see a gringo, LOL. You can also take your girl to a nearby motel (Canario?)

Just don't force yourself into doing one thing or another. I personally hate VM, but other people swear by it. To each their own. And if you like a particular encounter, there is no law against repeating with a girl. There are fantastic love motels in Rio. I would do prives daytime, and termas for nighttime but if you limit yourself to just Copa then you are missing out.

At Vagabundo have you written a comprehensive guide to mongering in Rio anywhere? Or on why you live in Rio and not Sao Paulo? I would love to read it if you have. It's difficult to keep up with all of your posts, and I think tourists like me would appreciate a comprehensive beginner's guide from you, if that's something you'd be interested in doing.

I visited Rio only for a few nights a few months ago, visited Whiskeria 4 x 4, Solarium, and Centaurus. For me, the order was clearly 4 x 4 Solarium Centaurus, with Centaurus being clearly the worst of the three. I believe I paid around $60 USD per girl for 40 minutes in 4 x 4, and don't remember in Solarium and Centaurus, but it was more. Maybe Solarium was in the $80 range and Centaurus was in the $120 ish range. This was months ago, so I don't remember perfectly. 4 x 4 was the best, and the cheapest, but closed on the weekends, and the other 2 were slightly lower quality (at least on my visit), and more expensive, with Centaurus costing the most.

Its my first time here. I'm from Germany, Little bit Spanish knowledge, but no Porto. So let me tell some first impressions:

The first 2 days I just did the typical sightseeing (Sugar Loaf, Christo de Redeemer, Fort Copacabana. Etc.

I had my apartment at Copacabana booked via Booking com, large 1 bed room for low price, what I think is so, because of low season (9 days per day 20 $).

Tuesday I checked the typical spots, which have been here spoken, often: Mabs, Kalabria, Dolce Vita.

Started at 10:00 pm At at Mabs. With the passage of time more and more girls showed around, about 5 girls from beginning till 7 girls when I left.

Checked kalbria around at midnight, about 6-7 Girls there.

And looked at Dolce Vita at 0:30 ,which was already well visited with some foreign guys and plenty 10 girls. T.

This is encouraging. I was starting to rethink my plans for Rio. I have mongered just about everywhere: Europe, SE Asia, Colombia, Caribbean, but only in Bogota did I feel slightly at risk. I just tried to keep my mongering to the touristy and "safe" parts of Bogota. I'm not interested in risking my life, when I could get a beautiful girl in Spain or Pattaya. Currently, I'm thinking of staying in Copa (likely the Hilton, for points) and going to Eden Spa and Termas Monte Carlo or Centaurus during the day, and MABs or an escort at night. That seems like the safest option. If I'm feeling like the risks are overblown, I'll add the Centro Prives during the day. Anyone else have an opinion on the best day game and night game for first timers in Rio, particularly those of us who don't want to carry a taser?

I was there for about 2 weeks in May and I felt safe walking in around Central for prives, and from Copa near posto 2 to Ipanema (could probably walk to Leblon but that's alot of walking LOL). The latest I walked in centro was around 7 PM (took metro in and walked to Whiskeria 65) and there were still many people out with police present, but you could see people were hurrying to get home as well as stores were starting to close.

The first time I was in Rio back in Oct last year, I took uber to centro prives like Rio Branco since I didn't know my way around and was a bit cautious to everything. Once I was in centro and walked around a few times to different attractions, I felt more comfortable and started using the metro system to get around. If you're not comfortable and want to check out the prives, I would recommend to just Uber in and Uber out, but definitely do this if you go to 4 x4 or whiskeria 65 because the street will be deserted around 10 pm once you get out.

I would do prives daytime, and termas for nighttime but if you limit yourself to just Copa then you are missing out.
