1. Are there any termas where you aren't expected to change into a robe?

2. Are there any termas or clubs that offer an all-you-can drink for one price deal (like they have at some clubs in Panama)?

3. Are there any strip clubs that are recommended (all the ones I read about seem bad)?

Florida Bar is the closet I have been to in Rio that's a strip club type. I have only seen one girl do a little show. 502 sometimes have little shows, who goes to Brazil to watch girls strip?

It's the area that use be where 4 x4 served food. It was a lounge and restaurant. It was better before they changed it to a smoking room. If you're not a smoker you will not like it.

Unless we are talking about a different area, the last time I was at 4 x4 they serve food and drinks there. And you can smoke. I went to 4 x4 in November of 2014.

I see your points about Centaurus BUT like you said they are newbies they don't and haven't lived in Rio for the past few years and go there anytime they want to, they on vacation they saved their money so they are going to hit all the spots no matter what anyone says I still go by there at least once a trip.

Prices are def not always posted in VM-far from it.

Its a high-risk area when it kicks off-going alone with no portuguese is done all the time but not advisable.

When it kicks off or the special police raid it looking for menores and stop you and you don't speak any. Not good.

Many thieves too and will be impossible to retrieve valuables unless you speak.

Have to look at all angles and bring a copy of your passport.

Police can and do stop taxis on the way-there is one cop who has an arrangement with the club with a terrace bit and ballons outside-on the corner.

He stops taxis and lets gringos off if they go to this place in VM-and its expensive by vm standards.

It is fun but it is a high-risk area.

The prices are pretty much the same at all the spots in VM. When I'm on a mongering trip all my valuables are in my safe. I alwaya carry a copy of my passport. I dress regular nothing flashy, plain John. I only recommend that if its your first time going, you should go with someone.

This forum tremendously helped me when I was preparing for my first trip to Rio. Therefore, I feel obligated to share my initial experience which can be helpful for other newbies like me with not Portuguese knowledge whatsoever planning to monger in Rio. Yesterday, after arriving I rested a few hours at apartment that I rented right in the middle of Copa, and then headed to Centaurus (joined by Dicker12 who settled in Copa a few days before). We arrived to the terma around 6 pm and were greeted by about 15 or so girls. By 8 pm the number seems to double or even trippled. Girls-to-men ration was about 3-1 by my rough estimate.

First, what I liked there: 1. Girls are very attractive on average: most were 7's, 8's and some 9's. 2. Most speak good English which was very helpful to keep conversation going. 3. Rooms are large and clean. 4. Not crowded (maybe because it was Thursday). 5. The girls change their dress after they were selected so they enter your room wearing lingerie-type of clothes which is very nice.

Now, what I didn't like: 1. Girls that were meeting us at the locker room were too pushy rubbing and touching me even before I changed my clothes to robe provided. Being on my first day, it was really hard to resist these quite attractive ladies. Maybe next time I will follow "reject the first offer" rule more firmly. 2. To girls quickly start french kissing me simultaneously so after short hesitation I decided to choose the both girls which cost me 660 are for 40 min (on top of 130 are entrance fee). What annoyed me big time is they pushing me to buy them drinks at a very inappropriate moment. As soon as three of us get to a room. I think they intentionally chose this moment to ask for drinks because it is harder to reject since I already paid for them and for the room. I was adamant and bought them drinks only after sex. Still, I find the trick quite cheesy. Not worth playing at the upscale place like Centaurus. The irony is that the drinks are actually not that expensive. Just 10 are each. So I do not understand why they needed them so badly before sex. 3. The girls didn't allow me much extra except just the standard sex. No spanking, which I usually like to give, no anal, no fingering. Just straight sex. Still, overall, I was happy and came quickly as it was my first sex in Rio. 4. I also do not understand why they charge for 1 hour almost double of what they charge for 40 min? And why they need to set this ticking meter making a client feeling nervous planning whether it leaves him enough time? Sometimes I need 1 hour and sometimes 20 min is more then enough. I guess nobody can tell it exactly. Also, the girls are idle most of the time anyway and the prices are high enough. Am I the only one who feels time limits like this makes little sense? Anyway, these were just my "newbie" observations that I wanted to share with you.

Yes, she gave me her phone. I just forgot to mention. Another thing that I forgot to mention was that she smoked cigarette once we get to the room and I went to the shower. I found it quite unpleasant as I am not a smoker and not a big fun of kissing tobacco smelled girls. They should have some kind of smoking place in 4 x 4 so the girls do not do this in tiny room with a client before sex.

Sort of fitting that Mabs comes back in the picture again, which is what I said would happen when they closed Help. Before Help existed, the girls just hung around in different cafes along Atlantica -- Mabs, Meia Petaca and a few others as well as clubs like Erotica and Barbarella. When Help got going, it sort of killed the cafe scene scene -- only a few skanks were still in the cafes and then almost none.
