I used to read these forums, but I never posted here. However I found the information useful so here is a small report of my trip to Centaurus. I'm fairly new to Rio and I don't do much P4P so nothing new here I'm sure, but it might be interesting from a beginners perspective.

I went to Centaurus on Tuesday around 7.30 and at the time it was around 30 girls and 5 guys. However, three of the Brazilian guys were downstairs so it was ridiculous ratio. I had ten girls surround me when I got in which was a bit overwhelming I must say. It least it gave me a great opportunity to practice my Portuguese greeting phrases since every single one of the girls came up and introduced themselves.

I know a lot of veterans here pooh-poohs Centaurus, but I rather like it. If you are based in Ipanema and you are looking for 8-9's it's great. I'm sure you can find similar girls for less money if you know your way around, but being a foreigner without fluent Portuguese it's quite convenient. I found the quality of the girls there to be amazing and they seem to perform very well in bed over a small sample size. I ended up banging a girl who is probably one of the best looking girls I have seen and I paid 550 reais for 40 minute. Note that it was 640 if you paid with credit card so definitively bring cash. I didn't tip and no one asked me for one.

My plan was to go there and get numbers from girls who I could then get over to my apartment. It seems like the girls get R270 out of the R550 so I assume I could get one to my place for R300? The girls I spoke with seemed alright both with giving me their phone numbers and to come over later in the week. Thanks again for all the info guys. It makes it a lot easier for guys like me who rarely do P4P.

The problem is not finding girls with lard asses, the problem is finding girls with normal size asses. I like to be able to still hear the stereo when a girl sits on my face. I would add back in the day when the dope boys controlled the favella's it was safer for you to go because the last thing they wanted was a gringo getting robbed in there favella especially "picking up" as it hurt there business and maybe brought unwanted police atention. The dope boys would not allow gringos to get robbed without severe consequences. Now you go in, your on your own and who cares if your with friends that still might not save you. But, I will say this if your a " real player" you will clean up in the favella as you will get that old help experience where a chica wants everyone to know she is with you. Yes I have been to funkes in the favelas. There is a difference between which favelas. Some are totally lawless parties full of guns etc and some in pacified ones like Santa Marta are more peaceful but.

A taken girl will act single for sure. Its in the culture.

I pulled at clubs like Olimpo in Bonsuccesso-there are many great ones but be prepared for many no's and be persistent but no one speaks english.

There are some dimes but the environment is tricky and high-risk. Have witnessed pistol-whippings of over zealous customers by pimps and police squads looking for menores. Minors. Major crime even in BR to get caught with one.

That's a true advice. If you hit on the wrong girl you might get her boyfriend after you. You wouldn't like that to happen in a favela. He might be involved in crimes and be armed.

I would also like to add that sometimes the gals in the favela parties are working in combination with their boyfriends in setting you up, because they know you are a gringo. I have seen this happen before. So if you decide to go, be sure to go with locals that you personally know, and speaking the native language helps greatly as well.
