I'm currently in Pattaya, Thailand, and have been in Bangkok. I've been going to Rio since 2001. Biggest Difference: you'll have to go and find the venues. They are not in your face. One Soi in Pattaya has more action than all of Copacabana, and Ipanema. The Brazileiras have more curves. They are more kinkier than their Thai counterparts, so a par 3 course will be easier to find.
