Without trying to be fussy, no 169 is on the other side of the street, maybe 50 meters west of no 162. Just before Rua Hilario de Gouveia. Siqueira Grill is on Rua Siqueira Campos.

I didn't say it was on Rua Siqueira Campos, it's on Rua Tonelero next door to the Siqueira Grill, (real name: Galeteria Estacao Siqueira,) which is on the corner of Rua Siqueira Campos and Rua Tonelero.

I've attached a pic from Google Earth, it's the little white door next to the guy on the sidewalk. Zooming into the pic reveals the magic number. Rua Tonelero 173 is next to the barzinho. From there the street numbers jump into the 200's. After all this I expect a full report of Copa Massagem, Krishpad.

I see you're looking for Copa Massagem. I went looking for it one day, and ran into your dilemma. 169 is NOT across the street. It's about a block west from where you found 162 and 170. A little bit west of Rua Siqueira Campos. It will be a narrow white entrance, almost next door to Siqueira Grill. I have NO idea what 3rd world Brazilian logic is used to number their buildings. It sure is not the way it's done in the west. Looking for building street numbers always leaves me confused when in Rio.

Regarding street numbers, even numbers on one side an uneven on the other side. Normally (but not always) they start counting a new "hundred-number" for every block.

Sorry for the noob question. I am in Rio now and was walking down rua tonelero and noticed that three consecutive buildings has number 162,170 and 180. How do I find 169 and 173??Also I assume Rio branco 185 sala 1703 would mean prive is on 17th floor of building 185.

Yes there are. My best tip to you is not to go for the first / best deal-ease back.
