Nevertheless, I'm having a hard time convincing myself to head back to Rio. It is so expensive to do Rio now that it's virtually a turn off. I agree with Chris Long that Rio has one of most expensive apartment or hotel prices. I pay about US$60 for a decent Best Western or similar kind hotel in London / night. Every single day, there are nearly 50+ girls pretty European chicks to choose from any time of the day and ½ of them are all complete friendly. I'm heading to London in 2 weeks and cheerful. Plane fare and hotel alone cost $200 / day and a Terma run will turn my daily expense into nearly $500 range. In Rio, there are few centro casas like Bel Prazer, and Duda which helped me lower my daily expenditure, however, the rest is beyond my comprehension. A predictable daily expense of $450-500 is the main rationale that I avoid Rio. I might contribute to the Rio's economy during Nov.

I have had my share of fun in this city, but I might be taking a break for a while until things change, if they change. Just walk into the supermarket and take a look at the food prices. It is totally out of hand. Generally speaking, eating at cafe's and rest. Are at par with places back in the states. That was not the case before. As tourists, we always have an option. In other words, we are the lucky the one's. Most people in Rio have to deal with the prices going up, and for the most part, salaries stay the same. I don't spend 400-500 bucks at a termas several times a week. Once in a while I do, but rarely. For that amount of cash, I can stay home and do some serious damamge as well. If I had the flow to throw around like that, I would too. Especially on a short trip in which you stay a week or so. However, when you are in town for 6, 7, or8 weeks at a time- you get my drift.

rio de janeiro may have once been a mongering meca and a standard bearer but today it is just a shadow of its former self, if it was ever anything to begin with. my first few days i was extremely underwhelmed by the monger scene in rio, but i should add that i came directly from twenty days in pattaya thailand which is a city based on p4p where sex is available just about everywhere. rio is just a normal city; it reminded me a great deal of santo domingo when it comes to mongering. that is it's a regular city where you can find a few p4p venues rep001tered throughout the city. it is not a monger disney land, there is no centro strip or area of adult monger activity, it's a regular city that has a few rep001tered p4p venues.

airport:

i found the international airport to be surprisingly very slow not a lot of activity or traffic, the airport is somewhat confusing not as well laid out as far as signs go as it could be, but manageable. being my first time in rio i arranged for the apartment company i rented from to pick me up at 100r, my wingman funman13 who arrived a few days before i did and stayed in centro his first few days took public transportation and he may want to post information on how to do that. when i got there the driver who was supposed to pick me up and was to be holding a sign with my name on it was nowhere to be found. there were public taxi stands in the arrivals section before you exit the building, when i inquired how much to copacabana it was greater than 100r, not wanting to pay that amount i looked again for my driver, an independent taxi driver who had just dropped passengers off asked if i needed a ride and offered to take me to copacabana for 75r.

when returning to the airport there is a bus that runs along copacabana, the bus is blue and the sign in front of the bus will flash international airport in portuguese but the spelling is similar enough that you will be able to identify it. all the major hotels along copacabana have information on this bus and even if you are not staying there you can stop in and get the information about the bus. there is no designated stop you simply stand by the beach on atlantico, that's the highway that runs along the beach in copacabana. stand along the side of the road by the beach with your luggage, when you see a blue bus with the front sign flashing international airport in portuguese wave your hand just like you are flagging down a taxi and the driver will stop and pick you up. the bus runs every half hour and cost is 13r the bus takes about an hour to an hour and a half to go to the international terminal, the bus makes a few stops in rio itself it stops at the small commuter airport, so make sure you don't get out at the first airport you see, it makes a few more stops then it stops at the international airport. there are two terminals, terminal one and two the names of the airlines in each terminal will be posted on the sign near the stops. the driver makes no announcements and did not speak english.

apartments:

i looked into hotels and apartment, i found the hotels to be very expensive and from reports of others most were not guest friendly and many that were charged a large joiner fee. funman13 spent the first few days in a lower cost hotel in centro but he was very unhappy with the place. he may want to add some information on it.

apartments in my opinion is the way to go in rio, cost are usually less per night than a hotel room and there is no guest fee, you can bring back whoever you want as many as you want. i went with bobby at blame it on rio but also had some communication with ken at ezrio rental. both guys seemed pretty nice both were offering me apartment in copacabana just a block off of the beach. both were charging 200r a night for a one bedroom with pull out coach and wifi. i started communicating with bobby first so he was the one i went with, but ken seemed like a pretty nice guy as well. spoke with others i met in copa and many were paying the same as i was a few were paying a little less.

my apartment was on the far end of copacabana near ipanema one block off of the beach. good location good apartment good wifi connection, bobby was very helpful. hotel and apartment rental is very expensive in rio compared to other monger destinations.

rio:

rio is an interesting city built on and around high hills that jut into the sea, the areas i visited were copa where i was staying centro the down town district where many of the termas are located and leblon (sp?). as stated above rio is a regular city that has a few p4p venues rep001tered throughout the city. it is not a monger disney land and there is no central area or strip of monger activity.

termas:

termas are basically the rio version of a working girl house. i visited termas in copa as well as centro. larger more expensive termas will have a locker room where you change into a rob and then you enter a bar type room where the girls are, the women in the termas will wear g strings and bikini tops with the exception of monte carlo in copa where they were wearing sexy night time outfits. the girls in the termas will not approach you or even overly flirt with you until you approach them, however all it takes is looking in their direction or a simple hello and its game on she will approach smile and the fun begins.

i found many of the centro termas to be less expensive in general than the copa termas. in centro funman13 and myself visited 4x4, which has a 50r cover charge and 260r for 40 minutes and 280r for 1 hour in a standard cabana, if you session with a girl before 5. m your entry fee is waived. you do not have to finish with the girl before 5. m you simply have to take here before 5. m i always took mine before 5. m to avoid the cover charge but usually never took them until twenty or even ten minutes before five.

we also visited t502 in centro. 20r entry fee which gets you two drinks, its 150r for 40 minutes in the cabina with a girl. in this terma you do not change into a rob.

t81 which has a 10r entry fee which gets you two drinks, its 80r for a half hour 90r for 40 minutes and 110r for one hour. t81 is a bit darker than the others, music is much loader and the place is more rugged than the other termas but safe, here again in this terma you do not change into a rob.

mv30 which i think was funman13 favorite terma has a 30r entry fee which gets you three drinks, its 145r for a half hour and 180r for 40 minutes, in this terma you do change into a rob.

we also visited t31 and america terma in centro, maybe it was just bad timing or just our taste in women but neither of us seen anything in either one of those termas worth sessioning with, prices were in the range of t81 and t502.

copa termas.

i stopped into monte carlo which probably had the nicest locker room and facilities of all of the termas but was also the most expensive 50r entry fee, no drinks included, and 310r for 40 minutes with a girl.

t22 in copa stopped in and asked price was told 30r entry fee and 150r for half hour. the stairs and the front desk looked a bit rugged, i thought the price was a bit much when i could get more in centro for less so i took a pass and never entered.

building 583 suites 203, 204, 209, in copa technically i believe this place is a massage and not a terma, its in a building along copacabana street on the second floor. i entered took the elevator to the second floor, knocked on both doors 203 and 209, no one answered knocked on door 204 and a ruff looking individual answered introduced me to three girl he had working, one was young and cute so i decided to try, the other two were in the 6 to 7 range, there were a few brazilians hanging out in the apartment i was the only gringo there. price was 150r for the half hour of sex in a narrow room with a small bed.

buildings 169, 171, 173, in copa on tonelaro near the campos siqueira metro station. 171 seems to be a dentist office now but 169, and 173 are still message places. girls at both places were in the 6 to 7 range. 173 charge 110r for 40 minutes and 169 charged 80r for half hour 90r for 40 minutes and 110r for one hour. 169 had the nicer facilities.

quality of women in the termas, both funman13 and i agreed that the quality of women in both the expensive termas and the low cost termas was about the same. that is you could find equally attractive women in both an expensive terma and a less expensive terma only the more expensive termas usually had a larger selection. the facilities at both the more expensive temas and the lower cost termas was about the same. that is we didn't notice much difference in terms of facilities between 4x4 or mv30 or t504. monte carlo in copa probably had the best facilities and t81 in centro had the worst, the cabinas are like a dungun cell.

for directions to the centro termas i will use the uruguaina metro stop as the central location. if you are coming from copa you will exit the metro at uruguaina. exit the metro stop at uruguaina and exit on to uruguaina street exit, you will come up by pres. vargas ave. just a few paces from uruguaina, walk along pres. vargas in the direction you exited the subway to uruguaina, cross over uruguaina on pres vargas and go down to the next block rio branco, make a right on rio bronco and go down to the next street cross the street and you will find t502, its one door off from the corner, it's a narrow stair way leading up stairs and there is often a large door man sitting out front. if you continue walking down rio branco for one more block you will come to buenos aires, make a left on buenos aires and you will find 4x4 a few paces from the corner on your left had side. to find t81 walk past 4x4 to the next street the quitanda (it's a narrow street) make a right and go down one more block and t81 will be on your right, it's easy to find it has an awning out front that says 81 on it, simply go up stairs to the bar.

to find mv30 when you exit the subway on pres. vargas go down to the corner of pres. vargas and rio branco and instead of making a right you make a left go up two blocks look to your left there will be a road that juts off to the left and at the beginning of this road will be mv30 the place will have 30 in neon lights above the front door.

monte carlo is in copacabana on hilario de gouveia just on block off of the beach from avenida atlantica. if you are coming from the beach it will be on your left hand side before you reach the next corner. t22 is on the same block around the corner, just walk past monte carlo to the corner and go around the corner t22 will be on your left there will be a park across the street on your right. t22 will have an awning out front that says 22 on it. to find massage 583 walk past t22 to the next corner that will be rua siqueira campos make a right go up to the next block that will senhora de copacabana make a left onto senhora de copacabana and look for building number 583 it will be before you reach the next block, once you find it go inside to the elevator and go up to the 2nd floor, when i was there only door 204 had girls. to find massage 169, 173 stay on rua siqueira campos walking inland away from the beach towards the metro station until you get to rua tonelero just a few paces before the metro stop. make a left on rua tonelero and look for buildings 169 and 173 they will just be a few paces from the corner.

the services from every girl i had in the termas was good, most allowed anal all did bbbj and daty and all allowed me to have sex with them as much as i wanted. after the first round of sex i would often ask them to blow me until time was up or i would have a second round with them. none ever left early and all gave me as much sex as i wanted until the end of the scheduled time. there are some very attractive women in the termas but there was nothing devastatingly beautiful in my opinion. there were no 10 or 11 available in my opinion but plenty of 6, 7.8 and maybe a few 9 in the termas.

balcony:

balcony bar is in copacabana, this is the only free-lance bar that i found in rio, its located on the north side of copacabana across from the beach. it's an outdoor bar with an outdoor café. during the day time the place is quite slow with only a few women available and sometimes no women available, often the quality is not that good during the day. in the evening it starts to pick up and really gets going by 11. m and is happening until the wee hours of the morning. there will be girls inside the bar itself inside the tent covering the café and standing all around the side of the place, there were never more than 20 to 25 women available at any one time and often there were less than that. there are also two other discos next to balcony, la dolce vida and another one around the corner. there is a cover charge for men to enter and a cover charge if you take a girl in, but if she is unescorted there is no cover charge for the girls. i went into one of these discos on a saturday night and was charged a 50r entry fee and the place was completely dead. i believe there is no reason to enter these discos as most if not all of the p4p chicas are in balcony or standing around balcony. the girls are not overly aggressive and do not give you the look unless you look at them, however, they are easily approachable and all it takes is walking up and saying hi and they will instantly turn on the charm. i went to balcony every night for fourteen nights strait and picked up a girl every night for fourteen nights. even went during the day time a couple times and picked up chicas. i was told by the expats that live there the standard price in balcony is 200r and i was always quoted this every time i asked a chica the price. i always countered with 150r plus 10r taxi far back and almost every girl accepted this right away, only two would not budge from 200r one even quoted me 400r but i just smiled and walked away. one would not budge off of 200r so i told her maybe later she might change her mind and walked away, a few minutes later she came up to me and said ok 150r. i picked up a total of 16 balcony girls and only twice did i pay 200r, once when it was time for her to leave i realized i did not have any 10r notes for the cab just a bunch of 50r notes so i give her 200r total. on my last night had a hot little 20 year old who would not budge off of 200r, i could of played hard ball, told her she might change her mind later and walk away and look for another one but i figured i had been paying below market rates for the last two weeks and besides i wanted her so i agreed to 200r. the sex i got from the balcony girls was always good dfk, bbbj, daty and with the majority of them anal as well. had two spend the night and never asked for more than the agreed upon amount. balcony reminded me of a miniature outdoor version of the del ray in costa rica, personally i felt the quality of women at balcony was equal to what you will find in the del ray and key largo in sj, only the number of women available is nowhere near as great as in those places. there is a short time hotel around the corner from balcony that charges 80r an hour and all the girls know where it is, i never used it so can't comment on facilities. on most nights you will also find a few of expats hanging out in balcony.

centro:

centro is the business district and also where you will find, in my opinion, the best termas. its easily accessible from copa using the metro and i was there as late as 10. m (metro stops running at 11. m) and found the place to be perfectly safe and busy with people.

copacabana:

copacabana is the tourist area and runs along the beach, i found the place to be very safe at all hours of the day and night but the monger options are limited and generally more expensive then the centro options.

mia pataca, mabs, hooker beach:

checked out all of these places several times both day and night and found them to be quite dead as far as mongering goes. apparently back in the glory days of rio mongering these were major p4p venues. mia pataca was completely dead both day and night with only a few customers in there mainly family's, only once during 14 days of walking in front of the place did i notice anyone who could of possibly been a p4p chica and she looked subpar. mia pataca may be changing its name as at the end of my stay they covered up the name of the place. mabs was completely void of any monger activity. checked out what used to be called hooker beach in front of rio othan hotel several times and walked the beach from mabs all the way down to rio othan and never seen anyone i could defiantly say was a working girl. i walked the beach in front of rio othan for 14 days and only on my last day as i was standing by the side of the road with my luggage waiting for the bus to the airport did i see two chicas who seemed to be going up to guys and working the beach. if there is activity available on the beach now it is very few and far between and definitely hit or miss.

subway:

the subway system works like a charm, it's easy to learn, inexpensive, safe, reliable and probably the fasts way to get round town and as clean as any other big city subway system. i used the subway several times a day to get back and forth from copa to centro and even use it to get to villa mimosa:

villa mimosa:

i guess i earned the monger badge of honor as i session in villa mimosa. had i not read so many stories about it being dirty, scary, unsafe i may have enjoyed myself more than i did. funman13 and i went there during the day, but i believe the place is safe even alone during the day. it's not as dirty as some would have you believe, i expected to find dead bodies, people shooting up drugs, shit and [CodeWord140] running down the streets and i found none of that. i was actually surprised at how small the place really is, it reminded me of the streets of san jose, sosua or even tijuana. you walk down these narrow alleys that have bars and other establishments on either side the girls stand in the bar or in the ally dressed in g string and bikini top. the women ranged in the 6 to 7 to 8 to even possibly 9 range there were maybe a dozen to maybe 30 tops throughout the entire place. price was 50r plus 12r for a half hour room. the room actually was pretty clean and much nicer than the rooms in t81 in centro. i personally feel the place is safe during the day, as clean as some of the termas in centro has some attractive women and is one of the best if not the best place to find inexpensive p4p in rio. talked with other expats in balcony who said they visit vm during the daytime on their own without a problem.

when going to vm you take the subway, we exited sao cristovao stop and got a taxi the rest of the way. don't know if we exited on the wrong side of the street or our taxi driver was taking advantage of us but he seemed to be driving around in circles, seemed to take an additional 20 minutes and the cab far was nearly 20r. when returning we grabbed a cab in vm told the driver we wanted the metro at sao cristovao, he told us paca onze stop was closer and took us there, took two to three minutes tops to get from vm to the praca onze metro stop.

brazilian girls:

i found many brazilian girls to be attractive, however, on average i did not find them to be more attractive than the attractive women i have found in other monger venues throughout the world. i found many of the brazilian girls to give good sex, however, once again i did not find them to be superior to the good sex i had from other women in other monger venues throughout the world. what is unique about brazilian girls is there acceptance of anal sex, about 90% of the women i had either in the termas or freelancers form balcony or along the way to balcony allowed anal sex. this seems to be almost standard and routine with brazilian girls that a sexual encounter also includes anal sex. when i mentioned to them that very few girls in other parts of the world do anal sex they all seemed surprised to hear that and couldn't understand why other girls throughout the world didn't do it.

street freelancers:

there are freelancers available at night all along copacabana, they are not available in large numbers only a few, less than a dozen rep001tered all along avenida atlantica standing alone or in groups of two or three at the most. they are generally in the 6 to 7 to possible 8 range prices were anywhere from 80r to 100r. they stand along the side of the road waiting for local brazilians driving by to pick them up, they may smile or waive or say something as you walk by but they are not overly aggressive. many are also trannys so you want to be careful.

transsexuals:

this is the most dangerous thing in rio, there are a few along avenida atlantica in copacabana at night and a few will stand along the edges of the crowd at balcony or just be slightly off the balcony crowd where it is a little darker. they can often be very difficult to tell and will try to pick pocket you if you make the mistake and talk to them or even worse if you pick them up once in your place they will cause a big commotion and demand a large sum of money to leave. if a girl comes up to you in the balcony area or along the walk to balcony at night and starts wanting to do the booty shake grinding on you it will be 99% positive they are a tranny and are just attempting to pick pocket you. avoid any girl (that you think is a girl) who comes up to you rubbing against you or grinding on you, they are just trying to pick pocket you and the real girls in balcony will never be this overly aggressive in public.

safety:

i found rio to be a very safe city, i was in centro until 9 or 10 pm often alone and found the place to be very safe with plenty of people and down town activity going on. the subways are safe and in my opinion villa mimosa is safe during the day. i also found copacabana to be very safe at all hours of the day and night. my apartment was at one end of copacabana and balcony was at the opposite end and i walked to balcony every night for fourteen nights straight alone anywhere from 12 midnight until 3:am and never an incident. there are police out at night, night time street cleaners, lovers out walking, late night joggers, late night dog walkers, door man standing in front of the various hotels i believe copacabana to be safe but just like any big city you want to keep your wits around you.

money:

everything works in brazilian real (sp?) , so you will have to exchange your money. i found the best place to exchange money was at bobby's place at blame it on rio on xavier the silveira in copa just a block up from the beach on your left hand side. he had the best rates of any place i seen.

language:

portuguese is the official language and very few people speak english, very, very, very few of the girls will speak english. none of the terma girls i had could speak any english with the exception of monte carlo in copa, where i found three different girls who spoke good english. of the 16 girls i picked up at balcony only two could speak decent english. despite the language difficulty communication was not that much of a problem, the terma girls and the balcony girls all know what you are there for so with a few badly pronounced spanish and english words along with some sign language it was easy to come to a quick deal. the problem is after the deed not being able to communicate.

final thoughts:

i was disappointed in rio, i had expected more, however i believe rio does have something to offer for mongering and every monger should experience rio at least once. as i said i had come directly form 20 days in pattaya (which sets the standard of mongering in my opinion) so my views on rio may be tainted by my experience thailand. rio is a normal city that has a few isolated p4p venues spread throughout the city, there is no central strip or central mongering heart of the city, just a few venues, centro termas, a few overly priced termas in copa, balcony bar (mainly just at night) a few subpar street walkers at night on avenida atlantica and villa mimosa.

also, had i of not read so much about how beautiful the brazilian women were and how much better at sex they were supposed to have been i would not have been as disappointed. yes there are attractive women in rio but proportionately there is not more attractive women there than in any other venue i have been to and even though many are attractive they are not in my opinion more attractive than the attractive women i have had in other venues. yes many of the brazilian women gave me good sex but not any better than the good sex i have had from women in other parts of the world. the one category where brazilian women leave women of the rest of the world in the dust is anal sex, i have never done so many women in the butt as i did in rio, i became so jaded by the end of my trip that if a girl did not do complete (take it in all three inputs) i would not take her.

i notice in your pictures of some of the girls you seen at monte carlo i also seen a few of them i guess we have the same taste but i also notice some of them have gained weight in the thighs and belly area. i notice over the years it doesn't take long for these girls to pack on the weight the only ones i seen that didn't pack on the pounds they work out like a monster 4-5 times a week and they watch their diet and don't drink that much (mixed drinks or beer).

I recently spent 8 days in Rio (last week) and while I didn't do much hobbying activity I did manage to get some sessions in and partake of a few gatinhas. I found my decent portuguese was more than adequate from a communication standpoint w / pros and non-pros. I was more focused on this trip on music, culture, food and sites than garotas. This was my 1st time in Rio and I had an awesome time. I just broke up an 18 month serious relationship w / a non-pro dominicana so was in need of this trip. I'll also add that I'm not the typical monger. I have a very high interest in Latin american culture and music and I'm more focused on these aspects than purely sexual pursuits. So my opinions vary greatly from a typical monger that would have a ball in the Philippines or Thailand. I went to 14 different bairros from Rochina and Manguiera to Leblon and São Conrado. Did the typical tourist stuff like Pão de Açucar and Cristo Redentor, but also more off the beaten path stuff like Vista Chinesa. I barely slept and literally walked to my foot bled, but it was all worth it. Outside of clubbing in Lapa, I usually dressed down and only used portuguese to communicate. Being an african american, I completely blended in and I had zero safety issues. I even had to show 2 different garotas my passport to get them to believe I was from the US.

I hit Termas 502 my 1st night and sessioned w / a pretty magrinha falsa. Her club name was Agatha. Shy, but super passionate menina that is relatively new to the business. I later repeated w / her and we kept in touch throughout my trip. High quality GFE w / an attempted completa that just wasn't meant to happen. 502's pricing is R$20 entrance and R$180 for an hour in a basic room. The basic rooms have shower and A / C. I liked the garotas. Not all were very pretty, but most (aside from a gorda) had the type of bodies I like. When it comes to just sex, body matters more than face to me. I'll take a 5 face with a curvy 9 body over a 10 face with a flat ass and no tits any day. The only downside is the funk music is so loud in the boate, you really have to go to the toxic smoking room to chat up your garota. Overall a good value given current Rio prices. Later that night I ended up meeting a cool non-pro at a baile funk. I never got to bang her, but we spent some good time together. Later on that week I met her at her pharmacy job and we went out for lunch. She's the type of chick I would date for real if I had more time in Rio.

rio de janeiro may have once been a mongering meca and a standard bearer but today it is just a shadow of its former self, if it was ever anything to begin with. my first few days i was extremely underwhelmed by the monger scene in rio, but i should add that i came directly from twenty days in pattaya thailand which is a city based on p4p where sex is available just about everywhere. rio is just a normal city; it reminded me a great deal of santo domingo when it comes to mongering. that is it's a regular city where you can find a few p4p venues rep001tered throughout the city. it is not a monger disney land, there is no centro strip or area of adult monger activity, it's a regular city that has a few rep001tered p4p venues.

airport:

i found the international airport to be surprisingly very slow not a lot of activity or traffic, the airport is somewhat confusing not as well laid out as far as signs go as it could be, but manageable. being my first time in rio i arranged for the apartment company i rented from to pick me up at 100r, my wingman funman13 who arrived a few days before i did and stayed in centro his first few days took public transportation and he may want to post information on how to do that. when i got there the driver who was supposed to pick me up and was to be holding a sign with my name on it was nowhere to be found. there were public taxi stands in the arrivals section before you exit the building, when i inquired how much to copacabana it was greater than 100r, not wanting to pay that amount i looked again for my driver, an independent taxi driver who had just dropped passengers off asked if i needed a ride and offered to take me to copacabana for 75r.

when returning to the airport there is a bus that runs along copacabana, the bus is blue and the sign in front of the bus will flash international airport in portuguese but the spelling is similar enough that you will be able to identify it. all the major hotels along copacabana have information on this bus and even if you are not staying there you can stop in and get the information about the bus. there is no designated stop you simply stand by the beach on atlantico, that's the highway that runs along the beach in copacabana. stand along the side of the road by the beach with your luggage, when you see a blue bus with the front sign flashing international airport in portuguese wave your hand just like you are flagging down a taxi and the driver will stop and pick you up. the bus runs every half hour and cost is 13r the bus takes about an hour to an hour and a half to go to the international terminal, the bus makes a few stops in rio itself it stops at the small commuter airport, so make sure you don't get out at the first airport you see, it makes a few more stops then it stops at the international airport. there are two terminals, terminal one and two the names of the airlines in each terminal will be posted on the sign near the stops. the driver makes no announcements and did not speak english.

apartments:

i looked into hotels and apartment, i found the hotels to be very expensive and from reports of others most were not guest friendly and many that were charged a large joiner fee. funman13 spent the first few days in a lower cost hotel in centro but he was very unhappy with the place. he may want to add some information on it.

apartments in my opinion is the way to go in rio, cost are usually less per night than a hotel room and there is no guest fee, you can bring back whoever you want as many as you want. i went with bobby at blame it on rio but also had some communication with ken at ezrio rental. both guys seemed pretty nice both were offering me apartment in copacabana just a block off of the beach. both were charging 200r a night for a one bedroom with pull out coach and wifi. i started communicating with bobby first so he was the one i went with, but ken seemed like a pretty nice guy as well. spoke with others i met in copa and many were paying the same as i was a few were paying a little less.

my apartment was on the far end of copacabana near ipanema one block off of the beach. good location good apartment good wifi connection, bobby was very helpful. hotel and apartment rental is very expensive in rio compared to other monger destinations.

rio:

rio is an interesting city built on and around high hills that jut into the sea, the areas i visited were copa where i was staying centro the down town district where many of the termas are located and leblon (sp?). as stated above rio is a regular city that has a few p4p venues rep001tered throughout the city. it is not a monger disney land and there is no central area or strip of monger activity.

termas:

termas are basically the rio version of a working girl house. i visited termas in copa as well as centro. larger more expensive termas will have a locker room where you change into a rob and then you enter a bar type room where the girls are, the women in the termas will wear g strings and bikini tops with the exception of monte carlo in copa where they were wearing sexy night time outfits. the girls in the termas will not approach you or even overly flirt with you until you approach them, however all it takes is looking in their direction or a simple hello and its game on she will approach smile and the fun begins.

i found many of the centro termas to be less expensive in general than the copa termas. in centro funman13 and myself visited 4x4, which has a 50r cover charge and 260r for 40 minutes and 280r for 1 hour in a standard cabana, if you session with a girl before 5. m your entry fee is waived. you do not have to finish with the girl before 5. m you simply have to take here before 5. m i always took mine before 5. m to avoid the cover charge but usually never took them until twenty or even ten minutes before five.

we also visited t502 in centro. 20r entry fee which gets you two drinks, its 150r for 40 minutes in the cabina with a girl. in this terma you do not change into a rob.

t81 which has a 10r entry fee which gets you two drinks, its 80r for a half hour 90r for 40 minutes and 110r for one hour. t81 is a bit darker than the others, music is much loader and the place is more rugged than the other termas but safe, here again in this terma you do not change into a rob.

mv30 which i think was funman13 favorite terma has a 30r entry fee which gets you three drinks, its 145r for a half hour and 180r for 40 minutes, in this terma you do change into a rob.

we also visited t31 and america terma in centro, maybe it was just bad timing or just our taste in women but neither of us seen anything in either one of those termas worth sessioning with, prices were in the range of t81 and t502.

copa termas.

i stopped into monte carlo which probably had the nicest locker room and facilities of all of the termas but was also the most expensive 50r entry fee, no drinks included, and 310r for 40 minutes with a girl.

t22 in copa stopped in and asked price was told 30r entry fee and 150r for half hour. the stairs and the front desk looked a bit rugged, i thought the price was a bit much when i could get more in centro for less so i took a pass and never entered.

building 583 suites 203, 204, 209, in copa technically i believe this place is a massage and not a terma, its in a building along copacabana street on the second floor. i entered took the elevator to the second floor, knocked on both doors 203 and 209, no one answered knocked on door 204 and a ruff looking individual answered introduced me to three girl he had working, one was young and cute so i decided to try, the other two were in the 6 to 7 range, there were a few brazilians hanging out in the apartment i was the only gringo there. price was 150r for the half hour of sex in a narrow room with a small bed.

buildings 169, 171, 173, in copa on tonelaro near the campos siqueira metro station. 171 seems to be a dentist office now but 169, and 173 are still message places. girls at both places were in the 6 to 7 range. 173 charge 110r for 40 minutes and 169 charged 80r for half hour 90r for 40 minutes and 110r for one hour. 169 had the nicer facilities.

quality of women in the termas, both funman13 and i agreed that the quality of women in both the expensive termas and the low cost termas was about the same. that is you could find equally attractive women in both an expensive terma and a less expensive terma only the more expensive termas usually had a larger selection. the facilities at both the more expensive temas and the lower cost termas was about the same. that is we didn't notice much difference in terms of facilities between 4x4 or mv30 or t504. monte carlo in copa probably had the best facilities and t81 in centro had the worst, the cabinas are like a dungun cell.

for directions to the centro termas i will use the uruguaina metro stop as the central location. if you are coming from copa you will exit the metro at uruguaina. exit the metro stop at uruguaina and exit on to uruguaina street exit, you will come up by pres. vargas ave. just a few paces from uruguaina, walk along pres. vargas in the direction you exited the subway to uruguaina, cross over uruguaina on pres vargas and go down to the next block rio branco, make a right on rio bronco and go down to the next street cross the street and you will find t502, its one door off from the corner, it's a narrow stair way leading up stairs and there is often a large door man sitting out front. if you continue walking down rio branco for one more block you will come to buenos aires, make a left on buenos aires and you will find 4x4 a few paces from the corner on your left had side. to find t81 walk past 4x4 to the next street the quitanda (it's a narrow street) make a right and go down one more block and t81 will be on your right, it's easy to find it has an awning out front that says 81 on it, simply go up stairs to the bar.

to find mv30 when you exit the subway on pres. vargas go down to the corner of pres. vargas and rio branco and instead of making a right you make a left go up two blocks look to your left there will be a road that juts off to the left and at the beginning of this road will be mv30 the place will have 30 in neon lights above the front door.

monte carlo is in copacabana on hilario de gouveia just on block off of the beach from avenida atlantica. if you are coming from the beach it will be on your left hand side before you reach the next corner. t22 is on the same block around the corner, just walk past monte carlo to the corner and go around the corner t22 will be on your left there will be a park across the street on your right. t22 will have an awning out front that says 22 on it. to find massage 583 walk past t22 to the next corner that will be rua siqueira campos make a right go up to the next block that will senhora de copacabana make a left onto senhora de copacabana and look for building number 583 it will be before you reach the next block, once you find it go inside to the elevator and go up to the 2nd floor, when i was there only door 204 had girls. to find massage 169, 173 stay on rua siqueira campos walking inland away from the beach towards the metro station until you get to rua tonelero just a few paces before the metro stop. make a left on rua tonelero and look for buildings 169 and 173 they will just be a few paces from the corner.

the services from every girl i had in the termas was good, most allowed anal all did bbbj and daty and all allowed me to have sex with them as much as i wanted. after the first round of sex i would often ask them to blow me until time was up or i would have a second round with them. none ever left early and all gave me as much sex as i wanted until the end of the scheduled time. there are some very attractive women in the termas but there was nothing devastatingly beautiful in my opinion. there were no 10 or 11 available in my opinion but plenty of 6, 7.8 and maybe a few 9 in the termas.

centro:

centro is the business district and also where you will find, in my opinion, the best termas. its easily accessible from copa using the metro and i was there as late as 10. m (metro stops running at 11. m) and found the place to be perfectly safe and busy with people.

copacabana:

copacabana is the tourist area and runs along the beach, i found the place to be very safe at all hours of the day and night but the monger options are limited and generally more expensive then the centro options.

mia pataca, mabs, hooker beach:

checked out all of these places several times both day and night and found them to be quite dead as far as mongering goes. apparently back in the glory days of rio mongering these were major p4p venues. mia pataca was completely dead both day and night with only a few customers in there mainly family's, only once during 14 days of walking in front of the place did i notice anyone who could of possibly been a p4p chica and she looked subpar. mia pataca may be changing its name as at the end of my stay they covered up the name of the place. mabs was completely void of any monger activity. checked out what used to be called hooker beach in front of rio othan hotel several times and walked the beach from mabs all the way down to rio othan and never seen anyone i could defiantly say was a working girl. i walked the beach in front of rio othan for 14 days and only on my last day as i was standing by the side of the road with my luggage waiting for the bus to the airport did i see two chicas who seemed to be going up to guys and working the beach. if there is activity available on the beach now it is very few and far between and definitely hit or miss.

subway:

the subway system works like a charm, it's easy to learn, inexpensive, safe, reliable and probably the fasts way to get round town and as clean as any other big city subway system. i used the subway several times a day to get back and forth from copa to centro and even use it to get to villa mimosa:

villa mimosa:

i guess i earned the monger badge of honor as i session in villa mimosa. had i not read so many stories about it being dirty, scary, unsafe i may have enjoyed myself more than i did. funman13 and i went there during the day, but i believe the place is safe even alone during the day. it's not as dirty as some would have you believe, i expected to find dead bodies, people shooting up drugs, shit and [CodeWord140] running down the streets and i found none of that. i was actually surprised at how small the place really is, it reminded me of the streets of san jose, sosua or even tijuana. you walk down these narrow alleys that have bars and other establishments on either side the girls stand in the bar or in the ally dressed in g string and bikini top. the women ranged in the 6 to 7 to 8 to even possibly 9 range there were maybe a dozen to maybe 30 tops throughout the entire place. price was 50r plus 12r for a half hour room. the room actually was pretty clean and much nicer than the rooms in t81 in centro. i personally feel the place is safe during the day, as clean as some of the termas in centro has some attractive women and is one of the best if not the best place to find inexpensive p4p in rio. talked with other expats in balcony who said they visit vm during the daytime on their own without a problem.

when going to vm you take the subway, we exited sao cristovao stop and got a taxi the rest of the way. don't know if we exited on the wrong side of the street or our taxi driver was taking advantage of us but he seemed to be driving around in circles, seemed to take an additional 20 minutes and the cab far was nearly 20r. when returning we grabbed a cab in vm told the driver we wanted the metro at sao cristovao, he told us paca onze stop was closer and took us there, took two to three minutes tops to get from vm to the praca onze metro stop.

brazilian girls:

i found many brazilian girls to be attractive, however, on average i did not find them to be more attractive than the attractive women i have found in other monger venues throughout the world. i found many of the brazilian girls to give good sex, however, once again i did not find them to be superior to the good sex i had from other women in other monger venues throughout the world. what is unique about brazilian girls is there acceptance of anal sex, about 90% of the women i had either in the termas or freelancers form balcony or along the way to balcony allowed anal sex. this seems to be almost standard and routine with brazilian girls that a sexual encounter also includes anal sex. when i mentioned to them that very few girls in other parts of the world do anal sex they all seemed surprised to hear that and couldn't understand why other girls throughout the world didn't do it.

street freelancers:

there are freelancers available at night all along copacabana, they are not available in large numbers only a few, less than a dozen rep001tered all along avenida atlantica standing alone or in groups of two or three at the most. they are generally in the 6 to 7 to possible 8 range prices were anywhere from 80r to 100r. they stand along the side of the road waiting for local brazilians driving by to pick them up, they may smile or waive or say something as you walk by but they are not overly aggressive. many are also trannys so you want to be careful.

transsexuals:

this is the most dangerous thing in rio, there are a few along avenida atlantica in copacabana at night and a few will stand along the edges of the crowd at balcony or just be slightly off the balcony crowd where it is a little darker. they can often be very difficult to tell and will try to pick pocket you if you make the mistake and talk to them or even worse if you pick them up once in your place they will cause a big commotion and demand a large sum of money to leave. if a girl comes up to you in the balcony area or along the walk to balcony at night and starts wanting to do the booty shake grinding on you it will be 99% positive they are a tranny and are just attempting to pick pocket you. avoid any girl (that you think is a girl) who comes up to you rubbing against you or grinding on you, they are just trying to pick pocket you and the real girls in balcony will never be this overly aggressive in public.

safety:

i found rio to be a very safe city, i was in centro until 9 or 10 pm often alone and found the place to be very safe with plenty of people and down town activity going on. the subways are safe and in my opinion villa mimosa is safe during the day. i also found copacabana to be very safe at all hours of the day and night. my apartment was at one end of copacabana and balcony was at the opposite end and i walked to balcony every night for fourteen nights straight alone anywhere from 12 midnight until 3:am and never an incident. there are police out at night, night time street cleaners, lovers out walking, late night joggers, late night dog walkers, door man standing in front of the various hotels i believe copacabana to be safe but just like any big city you want to keep your wits around you.

money:

everything works in brazilian real (sp?) , so you will have to exchange your money. i found the best place to exchange money was at bobby's place at blame it on rio on xavier the silveira in copa just a block up from the beach on your left hand side. he had the best rates of any place i seen.

language:

portuguese is the official language and very few people speak english, very, very, very few of the girls will speak english. none of the terma girls i had could speak any english with the exception of monte carlo in copa, where i found three different girls who spoke good english. of the 16 girls i picked up at balcony only two could speak decent english. despite the language difficulty communication was not that much of a problem, the terma girls and the balcony girls all know what you are there for so with a few badly pronounced spanish and english words along with some sign language it was easy to come to a quick deal. the problem is after the deed not being able to communicate.

final thoughts:

i was disappointed in rio, i had expected more, however i believe rio does have something to offer for mongering and every monger should experience rio at least once. as i said i had come directly form 20 days in pattaya (which sets the standard of mongering in my opinion) so my views on rio may be tainted by my experience thailand. rio is a normal city that has a few isolated p4p venues spread throughout the city, there is no central strip or central mongering heart of the city, just a few venues, centro termas, a few overly priced termas in copa, balcony bar (mainly just at night) a few subpar street walkers at night on avenida atlantica and villa mimosa.

also, had i of not read so much about how beautiful the brazilian women were and how much better at sex they were supposed to have been i would not have been as disappointed. yes there are attractive women in rio but proportionately there is not more attractive women there than in any other venue i have been to and even though many are attractive they are not in my opinion more attractive than the attractive women i have had in other venues. yes many of the brazilian women gave me good sex but not any better than the good sex i have had from women in other parts of the world. the one category where brazilian women leave women of the rest of the world in the dust is anal sex, i have never done so many women in the butt as i did in rio, i became so jaded by the end of my trip that if a girl did not do complete (take it in all three inputs) i would not take her.

There are plenty of other decent performers there (Gabi, Deborah, Flavia) , but Carla is a sure bet. They do have a VIP room (BR20 more for it than the standard rate, but worth every cent).
