One day I had an hour to kill before meeting with my friend for a late lunch. I thought I would go to 85 have a drink, then meet my friend.

Rua Buenos Aires 85.

Yes the dreaded stairs. Only one floor open, the 2nd floor. Music was loud, too loud for me. Saw only to thick girls, then bolted. I'am not sure if they open the other floor or not.

After 85 I went walking down Buenos Aires toward the metro station. Just past the flower mart, I see a sign for 15. Can't remember the name of the street. Then just a little further down, I see a sign for 13.

Well, I have a little time to spare, let's go check it out.

These are two dive bars. Let's start with 13. It's a small bar but like help, in order to get a drink, you have to pay this guy sitting in the middle of the room. He gives you a ticket which you give to the bartender, who gives you your drink.

I got a water which cost are$3. 00. Fair enough. Many thick girls but there was one petite girls who looked pretty good. Only problem was, she was very popular. If she freed up, I would have done her. She never got freed while I was there. I believe it was are$56. 00 for 40 minutes but not 100% positive.

Walked over to 15. About 5 very thick girls there with no thin girls at all. I bought a coke which cost me are$6. 00. But it was cool. I got to see some of the girls working it with the locals. One thick girls was topless and stroking her client. Another thick girls was giving a hand job to another client. Nothing like being in these dive bars.

20 minutes was something like are$36. 00.

Finally Rua Buenos Aires 80. Go up the stairs. Only three girls working. Two very thick, one actually slim. The slim one was with a customer so a thick one came over to me. She starts working it but I tell her I want to wait for the slim girl. She said okay and do I want something to drink. Got a coke which cost are$5. 00. Funny how all three bars have different prices.

So the thick girl pours my coke into a cup and asked if she could have some. No problem, she took about a quarter of the can.

The slim one freed up and came over. I looked at my watch. 25 minutes before I'am suppose to meet my friend for lunch. I said f it, did the 20 minutes for are$38. 00. The rooms were practically portable walls but at least it looked decent. No big stains on the bed.

This slim girls name was Anna. She was the oldest girl I did this trip. She said she was 32. Even for the short time, she has skills. I was satisfied.

Would I repeat? Probably not, too many younger than her but I was not disappointed with her.

I did meet with my friend who was running late himself.

By the way, weeks before leaving, I usually go to the library and check out the pimsleur cd's for Portuguese. It's only the basic one but it helps prepare me for whats ahead. I ran out of time this year, so my first few days were rough. After the third day I at least had my get by Portuguese going. If you don't know Portuguese I highly recommend you at least get some of the basics down. It's at the public library, so it's free.

I usually get on gpguia net but alway changing proxies and even then getting kicked off, this year I went to another forum. Its called forumx and you don't need to change proxies. I went on hotforum a couple of time and it's good but not updated as much as forum x.

Gpguia is still the best but forumx served it's purpose with me.

Did you take the bus to Centro? You said you never left Copa or Lapa but Cetro is a nice distance from those places.

Some observations from this trip.

All the termas never got crowded like in the past. I remember at 4x4, sometimes it was hard to walk from the door to the stage. At all hours I was able to find a seat.

65 was the worst I have ever seen it. When I spoke with the room attendant, she thought it was because of the protest, but whatever it was, it was pretty sad.

On an earlier post, I wrote about the past. One more thing that reminded me about this trip and my first trips here.

Every single girl on this trip gave BBBJ. Just like trips of old. The last couple of years, I thought it was going in the wrong direction. After this trip, it looks like it's back on the right course.

Luana, very pretty girl. She was wearing a dress which always concerns me. She is very pleasent. We were in the boite at least 45 minutes before we went up. Very good upstairs, very willing to please. Only negative, kind of a flabby stomach. I guess that's why the dress. But other than that, she is a fun girl. In fact, before we went up, I asked her if she wanted to go to Arraia do Cabo with me. She said she couldn't on Friday, but if I wanted, she would come up Saturday and come home with me on Sunday. That was cool but because I was supposed to be on that boat ride, I wasn't sure what time I would be back. So I told her thanks but maybe next time.

Would I repeat? I know this sounds crazy but yes. Mainly because she is good upstairs and is alot of fun to talk with.

Estrella, a little bit older but a pretty face. This is the only girl with fake tits that I did on this trip. Upstairs, at first she was a little cold. When we went into 69, somehow, that got her going. From that point on, she was great.

I know some of you guys like this place but I had a hard time getting the feel for the place. First the main boite is so dark. I have bad eyes and in the dark, it's even worst. The girls don't seem to circulate too much so when I want to check out a girl, I'am practically staring at them. Then they think I want them. It's a catch 22. The back room is okay except for all that smoke. Most of the girls in there are already sitting with a client. Sometimes for a very long time.

Most of the chicks I saw were on the thicker side but there were a few slim ones. I did go there twice. The first time when Brazil won their semi-final match. It was about 17:00 so not too crowded. The only girl I would do was in the smoking room. Her name was Thais. Blond, pretty but with a whole bunch of cigarette butts in the ashtray in front of her. She seemed more interested in the futbol game so I passed.

The next time I came, much more crowded. Not standing room only but most of the seat were taken.

I forgot what the prices were for the girls because this place kind of pissed me off.

I usually have a good time here but for whatever reason when I got to the boite there were only 5 girls in there with about 12 guys. I never seen it so slow. Only one girl seem okay but she was sitting with a client. While talking with her client she would keep looking at me and smile.

Finally, when her client went to the bathroom, she rushes over to me, gives me a hug and the usual two kisses. I ask if the client was coming back and she said yes and to wait. I asked her how long and she said she didn't know. I don't mind waiting if it isn't too long, but when you don't know if it going to be short or long, forget it.

Go up that street and look at the building to your right where 33 should be. There you should see the 33 sign on the wall. When you walk in, you will see some elevators. Don't take any of those elevators. Instead go up the escalators one floor. When you reach that floor, walk away from the first elevators you saw coming in and you should see somemore elevators that have signs saying 2 or second floor, or something like that. Anyways, take those elevators to the second floor and look for the room number.

All the girls that I liked on their website were either busy or not there. I asked the receptionist about the Aline with black hair and she gave me a look like she didn't know who she was. As Sperto stated, sometimes you have to wait for a cabina to open up. I couldn't believe how many guys were waiting. Most casa, they don't want you to see the other clients, here it's almost impossible not to.

Anyway, it was so crowded, I asked the receptionist if Manu was availiable. She said she would be free at 13:30. Manu's picture caught my eye but because they don't show faces you never know. On forumx, there was only one review for her but at least it was a positive.

So I said okay. I had about an hour and 15 minutes to kill. I went across the street to an internet cafe to check emails and grab a soda.

So that Sunday checked into the Hotel Granada and stayed in to watch the game. Since this hotel was in Lapa, I wasn't sure what to expect. They just remodeled the rooms so the rooms look pretty new. I never brought a girl back but it didn't sound like this hotel was girl friendly.

Even though it is a little further out, I had no problems walking to and from the hotel to the casas and termas, even late at night. There were a few casa less than 10 minutes away from this hotel. I actually liked this hotel and the area.

Lastly, I ate mostly at places I've been to before but here are two new places I visited that were pretty good.

1) Enoteca Uno. Av Rio Branco 1. On the top floor. When you get into the elevator push pc. Although I was in shorts and a tee shirt, this is a more high class restaurant. Great views of the bay when it isn't foggy like the day I went. There's a guy playing relaxing music on the piano while dining.

I went by myself to this restaurant but it's catered for the more relaxed crowd. In between servings it's spaced out so you can relax and talk about things. I had the 3 course meal which was very good and a couple of sodas. So if you go, try and take someone with you. Even though I was only in tee shirt and shorts, I was still treated well.

I do recommend this place.

2) Besi This is a little place my friend who lives in Rio brought me to. It was funny, I asked for directions when he called about this place. He said to meet him in front of Cancun. Okay, he knows Rio. So I get to Cancun and this place is diagonal to Cancun. So, if you leave Cancun, turn left, walk about 10 steps, turn right and go across the street and there it is.

In front it's a store that sell stuff for the kitchen. The restaurant is at the rear of the store. Just by passing this place many times, I never knew there was a restaurant in the rear.

This is a place to eat a lighter lunch. They have salads, sandwiches and deserts. My friend had the salad with roast beef. I had the pasta salad. For desert, he had the cheese-cake, I had a brownie. My friend said he likes the sandwiches there but that would have to be next time, if there is one.

I liked my salad but the brownie was a little weak. Needed more chocolate flavor to it. I'am spoiled with all the good brownie places near me in L. A.

My friend treaded so I don't know what the prices were. I believe you can guess where we had our post desert? LOL.

Sorry guys, going down memory lane and got a little sidetracked. So how does Arraial tie in with our sport? Not because Arraial has p4p, at least to my knowledge. But I took the bus roundtrip from Rio.

Again, I read (I think it was tripadvisor) that said you could reserve seats in advance from your own computer. Well I tried that but it wouldn't let me do it unless you have a cpf, cfp or whatever that number is called. Maybe the guy who wrote it is Brazilian.

Since I couldn't reserve it from home, I checked out the authorized sellers. The one I went to was next to Dantur tours located downstairs at Rio Branco 156. Sound familiar? So yes, I killed two birds with one stone. Went up to the casa, came down and bought my tickets for Arraial.

By the way, my bus was full so if you take the 1001 bus system, it's probably better to reserve in advance. The cost from Rio to Arraial was are$50. 08. From Arraial to Rio was are$47. 07. If you use a credit card, I believe they tack on an extra are$5. 00.
