RioJoe, nice first report. Must say I agree with your sentiments.

I look at the positive side. Less gringo-mongers means better mongering for me.

Why are you fellas arguing issues with a "Regular Member" with 13 reports, and all of those reports are attacks and no reports on mongering. It should be easy to spot that his person signed up to ISG to pick fights with members of this board. You don't need to respond to him or her. This person is not here to share information about what we do, but spy or instigate.
All, why doesn't the administrators see this and remove this individual as an "unsecure" situation.

First of all, in all my posts on this site, I've never even mentioned Help disco, and I could care less about the place, and never have.
Please stop projecting your inadequacies on the rest of us.
I realize your past rejections and unrequited love mishaps must have hurt, but chin up man, your negativity only makes it worse.
I do wish you well though.

My guess is that they'll try to push most of the mongering activity away from copacabana but there will always be termas in Rio. If not,"massage parlors" and prives will pick up the slack. Rio wants turistas frolicking the beaches of leme, Copa and Ipanema.
The local middleclass brazillian needs a place where he can frequent as well. There are termas in Barra and other parts of Rio.
As far as GDPs professing their love for gringos, some fall in love others play the game and tell you what you want to hear. Don't equate a GDP with a well educated middelclass (or a above) carioca

Good luck though, I'm certainly through bantering with your nonsense and negativity.
You Mr Strangero have made my small list of people to ignore completely.
I'd much rather debate with the more educated responses from Kid Cisco.

Posts: 2Kid Cisco, you make some really good points about Brazilian girls. I haven't been to Brazil yet, but I have dated a Brazilian girl in the states that worked as a stripper. I think it's really funny to read all these of accounts of people saying how the Brazilian women "hate" their own men. The girl I was with would always tell me how much she HATED Brazilian men, LOL. And I would be like,"there are millions of Brazilian men, surely some must be good, right?". Her dumbfounded response would always be."I just like American men". I always found this very odd and a little troubling. She would say that Brazilian men don't treat their women right, that they are abusive, etc etc. And I knew this couldn't be the rule.
I realized after a while that this girl was just using me. But for a different reason. I'm not rich by any means, just a good looking guy with blonde hair and blue eyes. And apparently this fit into this girl's ideal type, which was fine by me. I got to be with this insanely hot Brazilian girl, the most amazing body you've ever seen, and I knew she wasn't with me for money. Anyways, after a while I realized this girl had all sorts of issues, and was literally obsessed with the blonde hair / blue eye look. She was, herself, a Brazilian girl of mixed ancestry (which resulted in the most beautiful girl you can imagine). But she was soooo fixated on the blonde hair thing, like she had this biological imperative to have kids with blonde hair. Anyways, she had major insecurity issues. Was super possessive of me, really jealous. And she was the one that was the one shaking her ass for other guys LOL. I found that to be very ironic.
It sadly didn't work out, and I really did fall in love with this girl. The biggest problem looking back, and I think a big issue for anyone looking towards Brazilian girls (vs American girls) for happiness, is the differences in education levels. A lot of these girls don't have much of an education at all (at least the "Working girls"). It's as if all their intelligence is focused towards money and appearance (vs learning / bettering oneself, wanting a real, cerebral relationship / family. What you would expect with an American girl). They like the "image", the idea of the beautiful family / man / money. But without the substance behind it. And I am telling you. These Brazilian girls are sooo good at making you fall for that dream. I found myself wanting to marry this girl and have kids, despite the fact we were on different worlds, intellectually. They are just sooo sexy and exotic (no other girls in the world can compete) and they know it, so they use it to their advantage. I think Brazilian girls "love to love" and they are so passionate that you get drawn into their world. You get lost in the fantasy. In visions of a new life with a beautiful Brazilian girl, living the tropical dream, away from the cold, mechanical American way of life.
I also think because prostitution is so prevalent in Brazil that it doesn't care the same level of shame as it does in the US. To some degree, it's just another job. It's as if they can be split their real lives and professional lives in a way that American strippers / sex workers can't. At least that's the sense I got from being with this girl. And you fall for it, hook, line and sinker. There's no way I would date American girl that was a stripper and ever believe her bullsh*t about her being able to separate things. Because I know she doesn't "have" to strip because we live in a good country. But somehow I convinced myself, because this girl was from Brazil with different cultural values, was supporting her family back home, that the stigma of being a stripper didn't matter anymore. It was really strange how I became absorbed in it all, very surreal actually.
Having said all that, I can't wait to date another Brazilian chick! LOL. I love how passionate they are. I even sort of like how possessive they are. It makes you feel like you're the only thing that matters in their lives. Part of me feels like it's just an illusion, and part of me wants it to be real more than anything else. Maybe I'm just a dreamer at heart. I think these Brazilian girls will be the death of me, LOL.
