Mel (honey in Portuguese) has been around for what seems like forever. I run into her from time to time in Copa or in one of the Termas. Pleasant enough, but I would rate her a hard-core GDP. My advice on your visit to 4x4 is that you hang back a bit I and check out a few girls. Without speaking Portuguese it may be difficult to conduct an interview, but try to look for girls who are not aggressive. BA85 was open today after all. It didn't seem as crowded today as it had yesterday evening when I was walking back from Termas 502. But the stairs, the stairs, THE STAIRS! I read as many reports as much I could find with the search function but NOTHING prepared me for the stairs. Music was being blasted as I looked up at the dirt-of-many-feet-over-many-years steps. Before I go any further, I bow to anyone who has ascended without making use of the handrails. The first level had a lot of chicks with one looking over the landing. She was cute, I smiled and kept going. The music was from the second floor, had a couple of guys and chicks standing. The chicks looked nice but having read the warnings to stay off the second floor (and speaking next-to-nothing portugues) , I decided to keep going up. Me poor heart had a good workout by the time I reached the top floor. The place had some funk playing and about 5-6 girls and a coroa-type. A shirtless young one gave a steely smile. After I sat down with a beer, she came and sat next to me and started asking questions. I must have looked really out of place.

Her name was Mel too. There was a dark-skinned, big ass girl walking about but she just went in with a guy as I sat down.

I had two choices : pretend I am deaf-mute or own up. I owned up that I am not a native and this seemed to interest Mel, Jessica with the Playboy bunny tatto and Diana, the dark, very lean one who was grinding on the guy who left with the big-bunda one.

I had wanted to walk down R. Uruguaiana and do a recce of 210 for next week but managed to grip a landing while making way for a guy going up. I decided to get home and take a good long bath and get back to Centro for a walk about.

The boate is nothing to write home about, a rectangle with 1 pole near the bar where a few girls were sitting and a lot of guys popping in after work. I made a point to sit in the whiskeria for some time before going upstairs, on the other side of the boate. It was better lit but felt it was too quiet for a pay-day, Friday evening. About half the tables were empty at 1930.

I've been going to 4 X 4 for ever and have always enjoyed the services of many of the providers there. I've never, ever had a performer as bad as this Jacky / Jackie. I won't go into the details, but I can tell you this for sure: She is a clock watcher, too much teeth when blowing and will try every excuse to cut your session short, to include faking a door knock like she tried on me. I've been with 100's of girls there and never had someone do some crap like this, just deceitful, and awful; she is a just there for the money piece of work. I will post pictures of this beauty when I get a chance, unfortunately I had no face shots. Of course, I let the owners and the manager know about her right away. She is mulata, about 5'2", black middle of the back hair straight black, body builder / fitness model type. She is dynamic in the boite, but in the room YMMV, but I'm letting you know upfront, she is just awful, thinks she is smarter then you, dishonest, and in it for the money. Avoid her at all costs.

Man that sucks. Caveat emptor and all that. I've had several experiences. On and off. Like that, and I will (like you did) roundly tell management and the other girls.

Costs about R$6 and some waiting time but lets you carry the copy around instead of the original.

If you get Don as your guide, he can tell you where the nearest cartorio is. Have a great trip!

I ask here because of the safety factor and honesty of this board so I appreciate your honesty and will consider it a good time to rest my lungs from my little vice. .

Weird though, I would have assumed it was not a big deal there. Hell, I even found it in Nigeria! (although it was the worst I had ever smoked!)

Any additional comments or thoughts on the the language barrier or using different guides? I am sure Don will be great from what I have read but if he is not available, I would be interested in some other folks names.
