I've been following the thread since my return from Rio 5 years ago. Back then the currency rate was good and there was Help. Now it seems that the scene has been reduced to Termas which I feel is over priced.

Anyone know where the girls from Help have gone? Has it gone underground or have they moved abroad? Is it a matter of gringos unable to FIND the supply, and as a result of lack of demand, the girls have stopped working? I have plans of going back to Brazil, but for now it seems that Rio is dead, and will be dead in the yrs to come with the world cup and olympics.

Had a gal from a privee come over tonight. She apparently has some German in her despite being preta preta as she arrived 10 mins early, and stuck precisely to 1 hour of play before leaving. R$100. Solid service but 1 pop only makes the Cartman unhappy. So I ventured out and got my 2nd pop fix elsewhere. Looked like they were scouting for a 3-some, or perhaps just watching the show. [Insert joke about putting the ho in show]. Anyway, hung out for the duration of my R$8. 25 Xingu dark beer and then some. Left around 11pm. Was starting to fill up but just not my scene. Girls in T's and privates are generally better looking and, well, cleaner and more reliable in my opinion. Really have no idea why anyone would go to Balcony these days.

Not to add too much more 4x4 drama-- especially after Cartman's great report-- but multiple Hotforum posters claim 4x4 has re-opened. Now, for how much longer will it stay open?

Nothing wrong with a first time visitor to use a guide as long as they have cash and even then don't overpay. The guy that used the guide seemed to do fine and enjoyed himself.

I remember even Kidcisco, the good Doctor from Calif, used a guide on his first trips. Don from Riotrips. I haven't seen Don for a while, but his partner Ken is still around. They are decent guides if anyone is interested.

I will be in Rio mid August and since I have ZERO knowledge of Portuguese (reading or speaking) I would feel more comfortable with someone to at least show me the ropes. I have mongered around the globe (even Nigeria) but never in a place where I don't speak the language.

I am not a Doctor though, so I need to be realistic about funds. I have joined cupidbrazil in order to work that angle however it can be tough to gauge who is real and who is looking for clients.

Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Some people come into Rio on short notice and never get a chance to study beforehand to understand the geography, transit, etc. So for those people who are coming in green, I would recommend getting a reputable guide. That way you don't get robbed, or shaken down by cops, or anything like that. I can think of a couple trips in other countries where I came in green on short notice and should have hired a guide to keep me from crossing paths with bandits and crooked cops. Same stuff can happen in Rio; especially outside Copa. I seem to remember you or your GF telling me about some gringo getting robbed in Botafogo, of all places.

Yes. This is a good opportunity to warn people about that area since she has seen it happen more than once. The area is the tunnel that connects Copa to Rio Sul mall. She told me that guys are waiting right outside the tunnel before you get to the mall.

Sounds like reasonable price. If that was all included. Admission, room, girl. But I don't go to Florida (aren't they open only at night?). I also normally take shorter times that are cheaper, too.

The prices are Florida at inclusive of the girl and room. There is an entrada though. It was I think R10 when I went last in February and then girls were R120/40. Yes, it's open only at night but I've seen girls leaning out the door to catch a ray of sun as early as 2 pm. As I mentioned in my response to T&A's post, some of them live there. And I'm sure they'd session in the afternoon if you walked in and found one awake. The service varies greatly, but I am a fan. As for shorter times, a guy can do just 15 minutes at U210 or Lazer 13 which are on Spertos list for those who are interested. I laugh a little when I see that 15 min course on the casa menus because lately it takes me 15 or 20 to savor DFK, DATY, 69 before I ever think about going for the goal. Just becoming a romantic monger I guess, BFE, haha. I like to treat a puta with my best effort and see if she reciprocates.

All this crap about raids is making me think to just try for some freebs next time, like Brazil Cupid and Lapa and if that doesn't work after a couple days I would head down to Buenos Aires. I can't believe that these higher end places would have forgotten to pay their tributes. Something is wrong, from a high level.

Beware gringos seeking gifts and offering free tours. Since TandAforever was not knowledgeable of the city and doesn't speak Portuguese he did a smart thing in paying a professional to take him around and introduce him to women of legal age.

You hit the key point, speaking Porto. Simply visiting a highly regarded casa doesn't mean that one will get the services like BBBJ, anal, etc because it varies from girl to girl within a casa and there is no real standard of service even at the high end termas. If a guide will go into the places and help to interview, that would be valuable. But I am not so sure if this service is helping with interviewing.

I would like to make this post about 4x4 closing or a debate about why it's OK to use a guide in Rio as long as you pay him and he doesn't spam the board with ads for staying in his apartment. Just to fit in. But I digress.

Tonight I had planned to meet a little hottie from a private at my apartment. But she bailed on me last minute. Leaving me in a mind for fun. And, well, I was torn between visiting a galpal at L'Uomo or hitting up MC. Both are about 5 mins from my office. The night was young.

MC's was hopping. Probably 40 girls, maybe at most 10 guys. About 10+ girls from 4x4. Refugees. You can tell them by their big ol' bundas. Still the same party atmosphere. But I'd say the quality has gone down a notch or two, really a bunch of 6s. I had a free entrada, so I was about to head out after 30 mins of looking when I saw a girl I liked. She'd just returned after about 2-3 months away, as had 1-2 others. There was a bit of an exodus end of April / May. This girl Cintia is a young mulatta, kind of looks like hale berry used to. Fun time had by all for 1 hr. R$385 all in including a beer for her (Bohemia, classy!) and a water for me. Free entrada.

So I get out and am feeling all peckish. Hit up Big Bi for a salgado and a Graviola. And I'm like, well, I still have R$400 and L'uomo is like RIGHT THERE. So I head on in. Maybe 5 other guys in the boate. Felt like tops 20 girls. Low energy, lots of lounging around. Went straight over to my gal pal and hung out with her for an hour, by the end she was all over me. Told her I'd only brought enough for 40 mins. Fun time had by all. Apparently I remain "muito gostoso." Quem sabe? R$275 somehow on my way out. BTW neither manager really had unique insight into what happened at 4x4. My girl at L'uomo said the Fed Police came today and checked all the lockers and all the girls' IDs, but left afterwards without incident. Guy at MC told me they have to pay off at least 3 different branches of the cops. Said MC hasn't been raided since 1981.

Oh yeah, I did manage to walk to MCs and then to Luomo without a guide.

Since this has been posted a couple of times I thought I would give a go at translating it for those who don't speak Portuguese.

By order of MP, police close termas in City Center.

The termas Four x Four, at Rua Buenos Aires 44, in the city center, was closed on Friday night, while open and operating (at full steam). Around 10:0 pm, the Deputy delegate of the 5th DP, Roberto Johan Leal, arrived at the business (house) with agents to comply with an order (determination) of the public prosecutor, which denounced the existence of the activities of prostitution and drug trafficking.

The first complaint was confirmed and Rozilda Batista da Silva, who presented herself as responsible for the business (house), was arrested in front of everyone (flagrantly). She was taken to the Prison Complex at Bangu. If convicted, she could be sentenced to from two to five years in prison, in addition to paying a fine.

At the business, were also seized R$18,426 in cash, four debit/credit card machines and three computers. Opened 11 years ago, the business (house) became famous after being included in the lyrics of the funk song "Adultery," by Mr. Catra.

I was in the mood for a coroa type of gdp today, and I decided to go to several prives to see what was available. I had been to Dudas a couple of weeks ago, but the majority of the gals were occupied, so I did not partake. But this time around I saw a blonde from the Northern part of brazil. In her thirties, and she looked somewhat slutty. So I rolled the dice and it was a good session. Not a great one, but a good one.

I place, and the girls are decent, and so was the service. However, I highly suggest that if you do decide to take a girl into the cabina in this place, make a point of clearing up when the start time of your hour or 40 minutes takes place. I had already read about someone getting shortchanged on the time in the cabina. I paid 100R for the hour. I was very aware of the time the garota came into the room. I really enjoyed this casa during the summer of 2010, cause they had some hot looking girls there, and the service was pretty darn good. Plus, no problems with management. Its a darn shame its now being a pain with clients. Good luck and beware if you decide to go there.

I did not use a guide on my first trip but probably could have used one. I did not know about ISG back then but got some info from some other sites. I am still amazed that I found L'uomo by myself.

Went past there tonight. Completely closed as the poster below said. Also saw a few of the 4x4 girls at other places around the city. I visited 10 prives and 5 termas tonight didn't really find anything to knock this cowboys boots off.
