I'm alarmed by the recent change in tone in this forum. We've started to descend down a slippery slope. Disagreements that occurred in another board, that few here are aware of and care for, have now infected our little community. And now, we are criticizing HOW we monger? For those unclear, WE monger because we have no game, we monger because we have no time due to work, we monger because we are tired of the BS associated with dating non pro's, and we monger for variety. During various stages in my life, I've mongered for all those reasons. WE are all unique individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, it does not make us better or worse than the next guy. Our common thread: we are mongers.

Let's get back to the purpose of this forum, before we sink even lower and start criticizing each on our grammar and writing skills.

Cartman, I thank you for all your many MC reports. And for making me laugh in mentioning the polar bear pounce, which you have not alluded to in maybe 4 or 5 months! Thanks for the kind words. I do go to other places than MC you know LOL. I was at 65 on Friday with a girl there I know, the talent is high (higher than MC right now) and the price is lower. I think 1 hour with a drink or two was checking in at the R$375-R$400 level. And I have posted about several trips to 502, where an hour and entrada (w / 3 beers) will run you R$210 these days (R$190 +R$20). I have gone to a few of the "dark side" places like T31 and MV30, but I haven't seen acceptable quality. And I will say that 502 at its prices leaves me a bit spooked by the quality of the rooms / showers. So I have some fear about trying out other lower-end joints like 22.

On the other hand, I'm a fan of privates. But I just don't have the time to head out there on a regular basis. I mentioned the girl who came over for R$100/1hr the other day. She's from a really good private in tijuca. If I had time like Bubba or Sperto, I'd definitely go to Centro and hit the top ones like Bel Prazer, Dudas, etc. I just can't get away during the day when they are open.

Balcony is a freak show. I can't match its hours. Everyone says not to bother getting there before midnight, and with 8. 30am portuguese lessons, that's not my scene. Having said all that, I did some napkin math to figure out how much I'd spent at MC and other joints since December, and it must be running around R$3K-$4K per month, maybe the occasional R$5K when Churroman is in town and making me keep up haha. That's probably not much more than what a visitor will blow on a 10-14 day trip, right? . I guess Dilma can thank me for supporting the Brazilian economy (with after-tax dollars!).

Had an interesting day at Botafogo shopping. Yes, they do have a Starbucks and yes the prices are insane.
