Days 8 and 9 were spent in Buzios. Like said before, if you go and you should, take a girl with you. Very romantic place with good seafood restaurant all around. Also this is the place when I went to exchange money, the rate was are$1. 55 to the dollar. At first I thought it was just another tourist rip off joint but all the cambios were at that rate. Just came back from 10 days in Brazil. Most in Rio, but also 2 nights in Sao Paulo and 2 nights in Buzios. Like others have wrote, if you go to Buzios, take a girl with you. It is much easier.

The day we left Buzios was also the day I was to leave back to Lax but later in the night. I pull 8's. Pricing for ST around midnight is R100 after a brief negotiation, or hold out for fractional-TLN past 2 am for as low as R150. If you go for 9's and the occasional 10, they will push you much higher. Some greenhorns have been paying R400 TLN, even R400 ST. Those jerks exist in FL scenes of every city though, coming in like hormonal sugar daddies and fucking up the market pricing. I think it's unavoidable. Let's just be thankful the rich Japanese and Chinese biz guys haven't discovered Rio as a place to do business, en masse. Yet!
