Hi guys. I have had some fun looking at the website and seems there is a lot of action. As a complete newbie to Brazil and Rio, I'd like some advise from you all. Now, before I ask the question, I have a lot of 'punting' experience throughout the world.

However, there does seem to be a lot of conflicting reports with agencies, so which agency is realistic (the girls in the online photos are those that show up) and how is the independant scene?

Dear Mark Saucy - the challenge in Brasil is not so much whether you have had good punting experience but one of grappling with somewhere that is probably totally different to expectations. I'd say RTFF but you will have to do that anyway, it will pay off, but I understand what a big task it is. You'll find some suggestions about ways to do Rio in a week or whatever. Usually they won't include agencies. It will be along the lines of, enjoy the headiness of Copa, then try Centro maybe top end like 4x4 and low end like BA85; and if you have the inkling for it, VM after that. Agencies can be fun, but you may find yourself frustrated jumping through hoops as well, and you can miss some of the unique flavours of Brasil while staying in for 'room service.'

Sort out your practicalities - download and customise the Bubba guide and print off Sperto's maps. Work out where you'll stay - hotel or apartment. Work out how much of the language you can realistically accommodate. Have a rough idea of at least how to get between places like Copa and Centro and how to get round Centro. Rio is one enormous frickin city, most of it moves at a breakneck pace, and when you arrive you are suddenly in the fast lane. I think it's safe to say that if you do lots of 'head' thinking now, you will have much more freedom to do the nice think-with-the-dick when you arrive. Unlike most places in the world, there is an extravagant plethora of possibilities for the latter. But negotiating Rio is as challenging as Tokyo. A first time visit to New York or London is child's play. Don't worry about whether you want 'the one with big titties' just now (for instance). The options are overpoweringly immense. Taking advantage of them is harder. Hence the RTFF's and a hope that you spend the time before arriving doing the analytical stuff with dick on hold. Rio is the best drug you can imagine. Just get your life support systems fully functional first.

These are ballpark numbers, from my head. Might vary a bit

Their basic rooms are around R$ 85. Basic decent room, but only interested for married guys who need an escape. Not much better then what you already have at home.

I suggest to invest about 200-300 Reais. For that you get something spectacular to remember. The top rooms are above R$ 600, but you don't need a BIG pool or 3-4 beds etc.

Note the prices are for a couple, any additional 2 people are the cost of a basic room. For big parties you can negotiate a little less

I paid which I have never done before, but I didn't have time to order anything else. Her body was nothing like that in the picture, she was out of shape, quite scarred, and I have see less hair on a baboon. Her skin was not fair either. Take it as a compliment if she thinks you are too hung. If you are really really big you might want to ask the agency who is completissima, para dotação muito grande.

Now if your size is less then that, a bit of insistence might help. Threatening to complain also often helps, just grabbing the phone and say you will complain often gets her to comply. On the other hand, the girls are usually compliant, often have a sore a.. hole from overusage, and if you complain they get a hefty fine. So I suggest you try to threaten but don't follow through.
But this is all a little tricky, good knowledge of language is useful. There also is a think like a.. fucking skills, how to ease in slowly, maybe not stick it in all the way, etc .....

You pay the 2-way taxi fee and send her back. This is why it is good to see the "book" first, or at least when you get the first girl. Then you can do a better pick of the next girl. For showing the book they might charge a fee, if you don't order someone instantly.

But sending back is kind of embarrassing, try your best to do a good pick.

There are other interesting options. One of them is to take a room at Hotel Barão de Flamengo and see the book there. Request your favorite to bring the book. If you don't like her, request the next.

You save the taxi fee (if the girl is from scortshow, not from karlamodels. scortshow girls are the upper half of www.scortshow.net . This is about the same as the hotel cost (I think it is 45 Reais. 2nd girl at the same time costs extra, 2nd girl afterwards does NOT cost extra, but I am not sure if they give you enough time to do 2 girls in a row.

Learn the language, find an open minded lady to share adventures with and set out. Then you will learn what the ladies here truly think. But you will not like what you hear.

Don't you need the garota first in order to learn the language from her? Pimsleur and the ilk don't teach a good vocabulary set for picking up non-pros for any serious stuff, I think of the character Borat and how lame his English sounds to American women and hope my Pims Porto isn't perceived like that in Brasil. What method of learning did you use?

Not like what we hear? Please elaborate. We already know Cariocas like our money and go to Copa to gather it, but think poorly of us for taking part in their set up. Next month I'll stay in Centro and try to pass myself off as a respectable gringo and see if it works. If a taxi driver asks me if I want to go to Copa, then I'll have been racially profiled.
