Now that's what I call a report of distinction. Any newbies come here asking questions about mongering in Rio should be ***** slapped.

And back to our feature presentation.

So after my trip to SP I ventured across the land to the land of the cariocas.

TRAVEL.

You can easily get a 1 HR plane ride from SP to Rio as they have a plane leaving every hour using GOL, Latam and Azul.

Now these sons of onions want to charge you 200 up to 500 USD for one tickets or round trip if you book late. You should always book your flight from SP to Rio ahead of time to avoid this. Sometimes the price isn't too bad but if you book ahead of time they usually can be had for around $40 USD.

Since I wasn't sure if I was going to stay more time in SP I opted to get a leito cama bus from SP to Rio which is a 6 hour bus ride. So the thing about the leito cama is that it is a fully reclinable seat that is pretty much the ultimate lazy boy. You hardly feel any bumps on the road and they stop half way at a buffet place where you pay for the weight of the food.

The bad thing about going this route is you HAVE to go to the bus station terminal and buy the ticket directly from the booth because they will not accept foreign credit card, debit or my virgin asshole. This is a real pain for somethings in Brazil. Major institutions don't have the option for foreign transactions so you have to physically go down and do things like this. Luckily there was a deal for the leito cama bus I took for 160 brl. Usually it's about 250 brl. They leave 9 am, noon, 3 pm, 6 pm and mightnight although leito cama rides are only certain times. I would not do the regular bus ride with the regular seats since it's a pretty long trip and the fare is already cheap enough.

GIG is the international airport in Rio so you'll end up here if you fly in or fly out to your country.

SDU is the domestic airport that will take you to and from SP and is closer to the city.

AIRBNB / LOVE HOTEL.

I ended up staying in an Airbnb for my entire stay in rio. I had a nice big room with a washing machine, kitchen and doorman. It was located across the street from monte carlo boate so prime location. Hotels in rio seem to be really small compared to SP and the styling is very dated. I met a member in rio and he stayed at one of the budget hotels in copa and it was tiny room and he was only paying 8 USD less than me. Another member was staying at one of the higher end hotel in copa and it was smaller again than my airbnb. Unless you really need a maid to clean your room everyday, hotel rooms aren't really the best value unless you go to barra where it's decently priced. The one thing I noticed is that all the apartments in rio, the doors lock from the inside. So yea there usually arent any safes in these airbnbs but a girl isn't exactly going to able to steal your stuff without you letting them out first. It does feel a bit weird locking the door when the girl enters, I feel like a straight jeffery dahmer ready to eat some morena coochie.

I would find a place in copa near posto 2 since it's close to Casablanca and dolce vita which I believe are the best little boates in rio where you are suppose to take the girl back to your place. You'll also have access to the beaches and a good amount of bars and restaurants.

There are tons of love motels in copa to pick from as well.

You have lido which is very basic but is down the street from Casablanca or DV.

Hotel vanity is pretty decent.

The best so far is panda hotel but it's a bit far out so a uber ride is needed. Not too far out but you can't just walk there.

There are a ton in copa so if you have reservations of taking a girl to your place just go to one of many love motels in rio.

BEACHES.

If it's your first time I would say check out the beaches whenever you can and soak up the sun.

Copa is tourist hell as you constantly get bugged every 10 steps on the beach.

Ipanema is better but still have guys bugging you.

Barra has the best beaches where the only people who bother you are the beach chair people so not so bad. They also have nice beach club restaurants where in copa / ipa they just have little finger food booths.

You can pick up girls in copa but the thing is that some of the girls here are also tourists from other parts of Brazil who are here for the weekend or a quick trip. A buddy chatted up a pretty hot girl from minas and they ended up texting back and forth but she had to leave the next day so he couldn't do anything. She was a civilian as well.

Barra seems to be more locals and I went with 2 other members and we ended up talking to 3 models who were smoking hot. They were with a few guys so no numbers after but definitely a place for hot young locals.

Barra is also safer for your items. I got some chairs on the beach and chatted with the boys and we left to go search for some new gash and we came back to our stuff fully intact. The beach chair guys actually look out for your things.

There was another guy I met that went to ipanema beach for a quick swim and when he came back shore after 5 mins everything but his stupidity was stolen.

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS.

(I don't remember the pricing so well so don't at me, its been a minute since I've left).

Still one of the best termas in rio.

Cheap entry less than 100 brl.

Rooms are cheap too like 150 brl.

Girls are like 250 brl.

I don't remember all the pricing but all in it's less than 100 USD.

Its best to arrive at 5 pm when it's packed.

I went here every other day while here.

I actually ended coming here on my last day in rio and spent my last hours here before my plane departure.

I had my luggage in the locker room and the lady who gives you your robe and sandals looked after it.

If you come here more than two times the lady in the front remembers you and it becomes an olive garden where "when you're here, you're family".

It's the best value place out of all the major places in rio but the only thing is that after your third visit you end up seeing the same girls over and over again. You start to get bored of the usual line up.

The other thing is that sometimes guys will have a private booth booked and hog all the good girls so that can really make or break your trip there.

This place also has one of the best and most fleshed out menu with drinks and actual food.

Overall still top 3 places in rio.

-SOLARIUM-.

I believe this is the most upscaled place out of all the termas in rio. Not comparable to anything in SP but for rio it's the best you can get.

The girls here are so much nicer, friendly and hotter than any place I've been to thru out all 5 times I've been to rio. The quality is great and you can literally sit and chat with a girl and not be pressured to take them up. I had a buddy talk to a girl for over 2 hours and he ended up taking her but at no point was she trying to get him to go with her or looked annoyed.

The rooms are also pretty clean although pretty cramped. Unlike 4 x4 where you can get a much bigger room, solarium doesn't have that option that I'm aware of. When it's really busy you can also be waiting for a room which sucks but happens in 4 x4 as well.

Every last Monday (or maybe Tuesday I forget LOL) of the month is a big event at solarium. All the girls who work at solarium comes in and the room is filled from wall to wall with the best they have to offer. I think the sushi is extra rsw on this day as well because it smells a little fishy. The entry fee becomes all consumable. In total your spending like 600 brl for entry, one hour with the room. It's a bit pricey compared to other options but honestly I'm usually never disappointed with the line up.

Top 3 for sure.

-MONTE CARLO-.

I ended up only coming here once during my stay and should have went a few more times.

It's one of the lesser visited termas in copa but it's there.

I've been here before during my other trips and it's usually a hit or miss.

Sometimes it's slow and sometimes its got some decent amount of girls.

When I went it had like 8 girls and 3 of them were my type.

I ended up seeing a girl I met during my first trip in rio.

She's a pale blonde carioca with grey eyes so she sticks out LOL if you go to monte carlo you'll know her once you see her.

She's actually pretty popular on seeking and meu patrinho and she's always flying out to europe and all around Brazil and staying at some of the bigger hotels in rio like the copacabana palace.

She remembered me and we went upstairs and had a good time. I ended up asking her questions about where to eat and stuff like that and she was happy to be a tourist advisory LOL.

The rooms are similar to solarium, nice but a bit cramped. I think they have a bigger suite option available tho.

It's worth a look but get there at 5 pm so it's got a good amount of girls. Any later and it will just be you alone with 3 girls. Never seen it fully packed with guys and / or girls.

It's like 500 brl for everything so kinda of a gamble but could pay off.

-CENTARAUS-.

Idk if I spelled it right but I don't even care to check that's how little I care about this place.

This is the definition of a tourist trap.

Its like 660 brl for one hour, room and entry and that's a lot in rio.

The amount of girls here is usually 15 or so but these girls attitudes make them horrid.

Its like the opposite of solarium. I've been here 3 times during my 5 trips and every single time I was immediately assaulted walking in. Unless you're a high roller you're treated with very little respect. I don't understand how this place is still in business. The rooms aren't even the best. Its bigger than solarium and monte carlo granted but the bed and room are very old looking.

I met one great girl here during my first trip but she stopped working here because even she said it's a real nightmare working there as the girls can be very aggressive and competitive.

The entrance is also not very subtle and is located next to a cafe which is usually busy so you get some side eye going in and out.

I would avoid this place and not waste your money and precious time.

-Dolce Vita-.

This place is one of my new favorite places in rio.

Its the casarao of rio.

It opens around 11 pm and gets busy at midnight.

Alot of americans here so it's very much a US nightclub vibe.

50 brl to enter.

There is a good mix of pros and non pros.

Take out fee I believe was 100 brl.

I met some really great girls here.

I took two pros to the panda love motel for 400 each and they were great but were very much watching the clock which is unfortunate but happens with pros.

Then I took a non pro and at first she said she would go out for 1500 brl and I said 500 and she took that. Her body was an hourglass figure and just crazy. She had a tongue piercing and that really sent me over the edge. Every single lick was pure bliss. Toe curling kind of feel. She got a kick out of that and I would just have her do that for 30 mins and she indulged me. We ended up fucking so hard that the downstair neighbor would tap our floor to quiet us down. I ended up seeing her two more times and she was great again! She knew how to ride and she liked to be manhandled. I was almost tempted to cum in this carioca but unlike a certain swiss navyman this american stud's seamen is worth it's weight in gold and I can't dilute my market value. It simply can't be done.

So I just ended up constructing a kiddie pool on her stomach every sinlge time.

She definitely did not watch the clock and we went at it until we tired ourselves out.

DV is the new place to be for a last ditch hail mary if all else fails.

-Casablanca-.

This place is around the block from DV and is also a good place to look at.

It's 100 BRL to enter but you get two drinks with that.

I only went once but when I did it was packed with 30 girls so the most out of any place other than DV somedays.

It's not a really big space so girls are packed there tight. You can hardly sit sometimes. Girls are constantly looking at you and want to strike up a conversation.

I was the one of 3 guys there so ratio is good. Girls are mostly 5's some 7's and 8's. It's got numbers is it's strongest points. Girls from DV will come here too so you might end up seeing the same girl if you already checked out DV. Take out fee for a girl is 100 BRL.

Girls will usually go out for 500 brl.

Its good to check out and you might get lucky.

Definitely don't use the room in the back.

I didn't session at any prives.

I went to a few with another member but I wasnt impressed.

Getting to these places in centro was also a trip.

You have to sign in and get a elevator pass.

Then go up and do this all over again for the others.

Its just a lot of walking around the girls here were 3's -5's.

Yea it's cheap like 150 brl but this stallion is looking for the quality, not quantity.

I heard there are some good prives in copa but again it's a journey getting up and they are not easy to find.

If you want to do the prive scene is would suggest sitting down and making a plan to map out your visit.

SEEKING / MEU PATRINHO.

I tried to use seeking and meu patrinho but didn't really get any results becuase I did so 2 weeks before coming.

Besides that most of these girls are non pros so they can be very flakey.

Some even write they are not SPs so don't even bother.

In rio it seemed to be mostly 30's to 40's.

I ended up meeting this 24 yr dance instructor.

We had lunch, going to the mall to get a dessert and then went to vidigal which was a bit tough as many uber drivers simply would not go. Took a while to get there. Had a good time and we ended up taking the motorcycles that takes you up and down the hill back to our place which was fun and beats the long time it takes to get an uber driver to pick you up plus the traffic at night.

Nothing happened afterwards as she had to leave for a work thing and the next day she had to cancel so no luck for me here. I admit I didn't come prepared but I really don't get the appeal of the SA scene. It's a lot of work and you're spending as much or more for a medicore fuck at best. RJ just doesn't seem to have the best scene here or at least for guys who aren't going to take these girls on a yacht ride and shower them with gifts.

I met another college girl but she was like 1. 5 hours away so after the first contact I dropped her. She was ok at best. It was very awkward at first and only got slightly better towards the end. Idk the scene here just isn't the best.

ONLINE GIRLS.

I only saw one online girl from barrasVIP as I really didn't see any girl I liked that much to part with my reais.

The one girl I did see was new to the game and she was a real peach.

Cute and wide eyed. Some guy gave her Romanian lei as payment and she took it so she was just starting out. I think I was her second guy which was funny.

Online girls here are pretty good but they do tend to charge like 600 and over for 1 hour.

Alot of them are in barra so it's a drive and some wait time for you.

Can't report much here but it's always an option.

BRINGING A SP GIRL.

So this is the 3rd time I took a SP girl to Rio.

I actually get a real kick from it, I really do.

I guess it makes me feel like a catcher in the rye. The reason most of these girls do this type of work is because they really need the money to help their families or just survive. I just like showing some of these girls that the world isn't that bad and filled with decent folks. I go for GND type of girls so they are always appreciative and it's a good time for both.

Like I mentioned in my SP report I brought a girl over that I met in casarao to rio for 3 days. At first I was skeptical because she was the most leveled headed brazilian girl I met so something must be wrong with here LOL.

She had never been to rio so we did the usual redeemer, sugar loaf and a sailboat ride around gloria. She was really sweet and acted as a wing woman for one of my bud when we were walking on the beach. I got really bored of the Rio termas scene as I've been here 5 times so kinda saw all the girls already so she was a nice getaway from that.

I did ask her if she wanted to go to one of the swing clubs like asha but she said it wasn't her thing and she wouldn't really enjoy it but she didn't care if I went and she would stay in the bar area. She was really sweet about it but I felt if I did go for it, it would kill her. It really would. That's what I get for going for GND girls.

It was still a good time with BBFS without hesitation and just a real GFE experience. Taking a SP girl to Rio is the real ultimate GFE cheat code.

SAFETY.

Rio isn't really that much dangerous than any other big tourist city.

You just can't be a dumbass with a foot up your ass.

You need to understand your surroundings and always keep your eyes open.

You can be robbed in any city in any country.

Safety is a window that will get shattered one day and make you realize it's only an illusion and just a concept.

A non brazilian is easy to spot. I'm not a "gringo" but that being said I am a gringo, so even though I don't stick out that much I still do. I can easily spot non brazilian latinos so it's really not that hard.

You can speak in english in rio, there's tons of tourists and americans here, its not a problem.

But if you talk about money or things of value out loud that easily is translated and understood universally as please rob me because I'm an idiot.

Don't have your phone out and glued on it.

Don't flaunt your gold chain or money.

Wear regular clothing and just keep your wits about you and think fast.

Robbers are cowards and they prey on the slow witted and unaware. If you sense or see anything fishy make a move and let your presence be known. They don't want to fight a fully aware person because then their edge is gone.

Centro, ipanema and copa are just big tourist traps and so entails a bunch of leftover scum to fester so just keep your eye out.

Barra on the other hand is definitely the more safer area than the rest.

EXAMPLE.

I was walking late at night from Casablanca to my airbnb which was only 6 blocks away around 1 am in copa. I've done this before many times but this time it was pretty dead more than usual. I walked maybe 4 blocks and then I saw two guys coming up behind me and one guy in front walking towards me. I casually walked across the road to the sidewalk on the beach and sure enough these guys were making their move and trying to slowly get me surrounded. So I walk back towards the sidewalk I came from and they follow suit and one said something. It was probably something gay and I, not being of homosexual descent, jogged away from these gay bois and went to the nearest hotel lobby. The guard at the hotel (there is always one in copa hotels) asked me if I was guest and I told him I was not but there were some bad hombres trying to jack me and he actually went out and took a look for me and saw that they were walking around the block still and reassured me that he had my back and got me a taxi. I just had my phone on me and a couple of reais so wouldn't lose much but keeping your head on a swivel and acting fast will do you more good than wearing a football Jersey. Sure I could also not walk at night but I wasnt too far from my place and done this a ton before but if anything just act fast. It's the thinking that gets you in trouble.

Barra on the other hand I had my Iphone out and wore my expensive sunglasses and no one batted an eye. There's a couple of rich arab guys that come here and they stay here and buy bottles at the beach clubs. It's a big difference and crime still exists but it's more guarded.

Rio is a great place to come and indulge in some sun and cariocas but just know it won't match SP and staying here for a long period can lead you to seeing the same line up over and over again and that can get old real quick. I know some guys live here which is different from staying here for 2-5 weeks. I could see it being a good place to live but for a long vacation you pretty see everything after the first week. There's nothing new after that. For the best rio experience without all the annoyances, check out arrial do cabo or buzios for a real get away (not for girls) better waters and less touristy.

Its a real escape and something new for most.

It's definitely a must stop destination but after awhile it can get old. SP is my new favorite city and will be back there in a few months and will skip Rio altogether.

I'll probably wait a year or two til I go back when new actions come to play.

I agree 100%. In fact, after I started going to Brazil, I never returned to Costa Rica again LOL! My suggestion was just based on if he wanted to try something new by doing a stop in Central America. If that's the case, then Costa Rica would be my pick. Otherwise, I would choose Rio over San Jose every single time (and have ever since I discovered Brazil). Why, I would even choose Germany and its FKK scene over Costa Rica. But in Central America? Costa Rica rules (and you could do much worse)! I don't know why in the world Steve hasn't gone to Rio. It's absolutely essential to go there if you're going to "hobby" in Brazil!

I love the club scene when traveling. I have a girl at home so dinners and GFE are standard. So I like to get out and party on the road. So like Scandallo and Casarao etc will def be done. But I can do that during the workweek.

I've been to Medellin and found it only OK for what I was after. Did Facebook girls at my condo. Was def fun but missed the club scene and didn't like the plastics at La Isla.

Absolutely got to have BBBJ. $$ not a problem.

Want to balance of nice place to hang out, maybe beachfront, with club / girl options but not the only thing. Rio? Costa Rica? Panam? The options are wide open. What would you guys do given the above parameters?

Steve, I've been to Costa Rica and Panama and in my opinion Rio is far better for mongering and much more fun overall. I don't remember if you been to Rio. It's a beautiful, beautiful cosmopolitan beach city. It's like God dropped San Francisco on Hawaii and sprinkled with Miami's Latinas.

Knowing you a bit, I don't think Rio's mongering club scene will meet your expectations unless you meet a working girl or a Seeking / Facebook girl who you can take to civilian clubs. You might like the civilian nightlife scene in the Lapa neighborhood. Since you seem to have some game and banter, you should try your hand flirting with store clerks and beach bunnies. If you invite a girl to a nice club or restaurant, you will likely warm them up more than if you lechered them up with an offer to go back to your place for a quick bang.

Having said that, I don't know how you feel about the hardcore brothels (as opposed to boates). You can always hit the termas. You can also invite a nice termas girl for an evening out. Some of them appreciate being on a date before jumping into bed.

Have you ever been to Costa Rica? If you're looking to try something different maybe you can give that a go. It's not like Sampa which is not like Rio which is not like Medellin which is not like Mexico City. In other words, it's its own thing with its own kind of "vibe". In San Jose you got the Hotel del Rey, the Sportsmens Lodge, and Hotel Taormina. And in Jaco there's the Cocal. These are "party hotels" with bars patronized by "ladies of the night". Pre-pandemic they were full of Colombianas, but I understand that the Colombianas have yet to return at their former numbers. So you would most likely be pulling lots of Ticas (Costa Rican girls), which is not a bad thing. I bet a lot of those Ticas are thrilled the "Culombianas" (as one Costa Rica Tica put it to me) are gone LOL! If I was going to do a stop off between North and South, then Costa Rica would be my choice. Panama also has a very active and robust scene and is a more modern country, but between the two I always preferred the action and the "vibe" to be found in Costa Rica versus that in Panama (you could do worse). Hope you make a good choice for you. And write up a good report too hehe!

Strip clubs or even Thai-style go-go bars are not really a thing in Brazil.

Your best bet is to go to Dolce Vita in Copacabana late at night to drink. It's not clear what your end game is, but I'm sure you will find open-minded women. You can buy the ladies drinks and see where it goes.

You might want to clarify things more since strip clubs aren't really regular bars. If you want something more hardcore, you can always go to a termas like 4 x4 or Solarium. You can also buy the girls drinks there and figure things out.

Comparing Scandello to Perola Negra is like comparing McDonald's to a Michelin star restaurant 🤣.

I'm already aware of that. The last time I was in Brazil was 20 years ago. At that time my favorite termas was Centaurus. I went into this big room full of women after changing into the robe and flip-flops. I sat next to a gorgeous blonde and started kissing and fondling her right away. We ended up going to a room about 20 minutes after and had amazing sex. The other places I went include Help disco where I met a girl who stayed with me every night and even went to the airport to see me off when I left, Barbarella boite (where I met two girls and had my first threesome), And 4 X4 where I had okay hookup with a girl but it wasn't anything to write home about. I only had a week in Rio but had a great time.

I also used this forum to get information back then. I am looking forward to trying new things in Sao Paulo, Rio, and Foz do Iguacu this time around. Perola Negra looks like a small club. I don't have any high hopes for the action there but you never know.

Perhaps I'm an old Rio stickler, but I think it's helpful to differentiate boates and termas. While the distinctions can be subtle, the former is more of a night club and the latter is more of a brothel. It gets confusing because some boates have hourly rooms available on or next to the premises.

I guess the biggest difference other than the overall vibe is that at a termas you are basically paying a fixed price set by the termas management. Of course, you can work out a deal to meet a termas girl later, but that's not the primary purpose of a termas per se. (By the way, I still think it's best to discreetly get a termas girl's number and work out an off-site rendezvous.) Termas can also have some amenities like a sauna and real masseuses that usually aren't that great.

The boates are more like nightclubs where girls and boys go to meet. And yeah, the girls just happen to be working girls and everyone including management expects you to negotiate a deal. They don't care if you take the girl home as long as they get their beak wet.

You could also make this more confusing by adding clinicas and prives which are generally small fixed price establishments frequented in the day.

I would compare SP's Casarao to Rio's Dolce Vita. Both are made up of FL.

Solarium is definitely the best boate in Rio. Girls are the best looking and best attitude and has a lot of girls relative to the rio scene.

It's one of the more expensive boates in rio but is worth the value.

I would consider 4 x4,Solarium and DV as the best clubs in rio in that order.

Dolce Vita is at the top of my RJ must check out bar list. The last time I was in RJ in May 2022, I stayed on Copacabana Beach and I was plaining to go to DV, but then I caught the Omicron.
