The rules for US I don't know.
The rules are the same for the US. Max is 6 months within a year. Brazil counts the year from July 1 to June 30.

Because they don't care about the calendar year. So it doesn't matter that your six month trip was done in two different years. Once you enter in October you have 180 days to stay in the country until the following October.

He should have married a GDP

    From today's Palm Beach Post:
How does a woman meet the man she's going to marry and then [allegedly try to have killed]?

In Dalia Dippolito's case, as a professional escort, says her jaded husband.

In a sworn interview with Boynton Beach Police detectives, Michael Dippolito said he met his future wife — now charged with trying to kill him via a hitman — when he paid for her escort services one day at his office.

"She's actually an escort," he said in the August interview, which was released this week. "That's how I met her. She came to my office one day. I called her and solicited her to the office and she came."

"After that one time," he said, "we started dating." ....

This is independent of when you arrive. If you arrive in October, you can stay until March, no problem. Just remember that next time you can come back would be in October.

    Hi!

    This is how it works.

When you get to the country, PF will stamp your passport. Check how many days they grant to you. In many cases they give 90 days, if so you need to go to PF to ask extension of another 90 days.

This is independent of when you arrive. If you arrive in October, you can stay until March, no problem. Just remember that next time you can come back would be in October.

Its not calendar year that they are looking, its 180 days from first entry.
Of course there are millions stories where people have been staying longer etc. Sometimes they get you and sometimes not.

If you're european you can try to arrange 2 passports and come and go as you please, just switching passports when entering.

Or you can overstay, which causes a fine that you'll need to pay when you re-enter to Brasil. If you overstay long enough, its sometimes cheaper just to get a new passport in your home country.

Also its a good practise to vary entrypoints. When you arrive to Rio, there will be no info in SP and vice versa.

Staying in Brasil for 6 months straight

I know you can only spend 6 months in brasil per calendar year. Can you go down to brasil in October, stay 3 months and then stay straight thru till March, without having to leave the country? Since its in two different calendars years, it seems like a plausible idea.

Centsuckass is no different than the other termas. If you ask the girls where they worked before, they will say MC, 4x4, solarium. Its the same girls getting recycled from terma to terma. Why would you pay 400 reals and put up with the mgmt when you can go to the other termas for cheaper.

Windsor is the owner of Help and Hotel Meridien. Why waiting for Meridien to reopen? I doubt the new Meridien is supposed to hold a new Help.
