Also they are handling some serious EUROS.

I totally agree that Brazil is not what is use to be but what mongering spot still is?

However to me Brazil is still and will always be TOP because of all of the options and the variety of women.

Remember Brazil is bigger than Europe excluding Russia so we are not talking about a small country. I have always said this let's explore more and not focus only on RIO and SAO PAULO.

The people will tell you that the average Brazilian doesn't get the benefits of their country's prosperity. I think mongers are overreacting to the Olympic and the oil discoveries, because the prosperous Brazilians don't want things to change. The upper-class minority prosper while the majority try and survive with their large country's weak infrastructure. Like Spring time, new flowers sprout as the old die. There will be new GDPs asking for what she needs, and it will be R$150 BBBJ, completa, etc. all night.

The issue is what airfare and exchange rates. I've been to Rio 3 times this year from Los Angeles. But the freaking airfare and exchange rate isn't to my liking. And if the airfare and exchange is not favorable, then many mongers will avoid Brazil. This will cause the GDPs to be less greedy with less mongers. A monger I met in March 2009 who lives in Atlanta and gets buddy passes from a relative is in the Dominican Republic today, because of the real dollar exchange rate alone.

And as for the Olympics, who gives a damn. When I watch it on TV, it's to watch the big ass and big leg track and field sprinters. the Olympics is more of a family thing, and I don't think it will affect mongering. Maybe the apartment rates will climb, but there will be too girls converging on Rio which will over saturate the GDP market. Therefore, the GDP rate will either stay the same or decline.

Sperto you are right about to not worry, as we cannot do nothing, so better to take it easy and relax.

However I do not think it is something 7 years ahead, as consider we are almost in 2.010, only 4 years to world soccer championship there and even for this Rio and its prices will start to change.

Even more they will start to feel it a bit in advance, so we do not have so much time before to see the begin of change in Rio.

No doubt that as scenary and view, Rio is a great city to host the Olympics, specially after seen the video of master plan, but from our point of view, specially mine that I could care less about sport that other and not me do, this is not something will help us in our hobby, despite a bit improvment about transportation.

Honestly I fan for Chicago, even if I am european and not american, Madrid and Tokyo fine too, but what for me it is not very "fair", is to give to the same city 2 great world events in only 2 years.

Is it a sort of awake of Brazil to the eyes of world ? I do not know, but I am afraid reais will get soon stronger than weaker in comparison to Usd and Euro and it does not help too.

Gfe Finder you are right, thanks for correction, golden years are gone, these are only....let's say silver years in comparison of what was Rio in the past, but still golden years regarding what Rio will become in couple of years.

Help will be close and I guess now nobody could care less, they will just move, where ? We will see.

I guess termas will stay open and termas in copa will be during Olympics more packed than the beach on new years eve.....maybe we mongers, should think for 2.016 to open in copa a new terma with all girls speaking english, it would not be a bad business

We will have and we can to adapt, for sure, but I am afraid GDP will adapt much better than us in terms to get used to have much more customers they can afford. It is good for the sharks, they will work as never before, but more or less every pro will get used in a while to get much money with little effort, so I think service will gonna to get worst, much worst.....we can forget GFE during Olympics....

I imagine there will be so much testosterone in the air and so little pussy to cool down....even if girls will arrive to Rio from all the Brazil to get easy and fast money.

Again the suggest of Sperto is wise, do not worry, let's enjoy now Rio, maybe in the 2.016 we will be happily married

However.... Chicago indeed was much better choice

I advice you to have a look at a map and do some study, and you'll discover that Rio doesn't consist of the area Copacabana-Centro. They have vast areas after Barra. Where do you think they held the Panam games? Av Rio Branco?

I think the Olympics in Rio is great news and I'm happy for all the brazilians.

Congratulaions to Brazil and Rio! The winning of the Olympics is a great opportunity for the Brasilian people to showcase that wonderful country. Will this change the P4P scene in Rio? Most likely, but I reckon us mongers will have to adapt a bit.

Now I'm wondering if I'd like to visit Rio during the summer of dois mil dezesseis.

The GP-prices, the dollar-rate, the quality of the water and now the olympics.

    Rio and Olympics 2016

Hmm...don't like it. I really hoped they would choose Madrid. Wonder though how they ever gonna get it done. They will have to break down whole parts of the city centre and create new highways from and to the airport. In fact they better tear down the entire airport and build a whole new one, now that I'm thinking about it. Then they will have to build lots of new hotels, clean up some of the central favela's, etc etc etc. It's going to be a HUGE challenge to get this one done.

...and I yes, I think it will be bad for our hobby, but only in the last 2 years before the Olympics. The coming years I think we won't see any significant changes.

From personal experience, I have seen how big events like this drive prices up for everything, not just for the girls, and then they never, ever come back down. This really, really sucks for mongering in Rio. Big time! Do you realize how many horny guys are already zeroing in on Rio de Janeiro??? Puttin' push-pins into big, colorful wall maps!

Plan to go to Rio before Help is closed forever and before the weak dollar loses even more value to the gaining real! I expect the heat to be turned up on the termas and the whole of the sex industry in Rio. Just like in Beijing where they shut it down. They clamped down good!

Many China travelers report that things still haven't recovered to where they were before the Beijing games. Even if plenty of termas do remain open, prices are going to go sky high, and they won't come back down anytime soon after that. This is just awful news for the Rio monger nation!

It's going to be intriguing to watch Rio de Janeiro transform itself over the upcoming years leading up to the games. We don't know exactly what is going to happen, but based upon prior experience, I'm confident that Rio will be changed forever as a mongering destination, and specifically for the worse for seasoned international mongers.

    Numbers

I think people are perhaps over reaching on the impact. In terms of numbers, this is barely a bigger event than Carnival spread out over a larger part of Rio.

The Exchange rate may react at first but brazilian currency is so amazingly artificially inflated right now that I suspect well prior to 2016, it will tumble for many of the same reasons the dollar has recently.
