Came to Rio from Medellin after about two weeks in the latter. Didn't get a chance to do a write-up until now so the post is a bit light on details. One big thing I immediately noticed is that Brazillian girls are way hotter than Colombian girls. I didn't realize how much hotter until I went from one to another and noticed the difference.

Sunday: Perola Negra. On my first full day I decided to hit up Perola Negra at night in part because it is one of the few places open on Sundays. There were a decent number of girls but nothing that suited my taste so I left without anything.

4 x4 is just as Nuupter described, small but decent selection. I like to sit and watch which this club isn't the best for given how tight it can be but there's a lotta great ass to see. Centaurus is very overrated in my opinion. They charge more because of their reputation and nice facilities but the girls quality isn't higher than other termas. I actually found it lower quality and they had less girls. Personally I probably won't visit Centaurus again.

I lost the first one, but stood my ground the second time around when I knew the drill. Those bad seeds do exist, but in my experience they're rare. BTW, depending on where you wanted to go in Jijuca, the Uber guy might've been concerned about his safety. I have no idea if that was the case, but Rio cabbies still seem to hate them. I heard from Uber guys that they'd been beaten up, cars damaged etc.

I'm happy you are ok, because bad things could have happened. I wrote some time ago that I don't take Uber anymore to or from the airports, because I want the ride to be smooth, without any extra drama. When I arrive, I want to get to my hotel as soon as possible to take a shower or sleep. When I go to the airport I don't want to risk missing my flight. From the GRU airport I always take a Guarucoop taxi and from SP to the airport I take a taxi from the hotel's taxi stand.

Met a girl on barravips, girl from SP for 4 hours on Friday night before going to dolce vita, went to have dinner. Again I met a silly uber driver, got to location, the location seemed very full, so we wanted to go further to look for a better one around barra the tijuca around the same street we were at, uber driver was not too happy, I'm not sure why he is not happy with this, he grumbled and complained in Portuguese, he is actually making more by going further, and us putting the right address in. My girl told him to calm down, and kept thanking him for indulging us. I wanted to ask her why are you appeasing this stupid fool of a driver? Are you the boss or is he? He is getting paid more if he goes further. Only in Rio I met this kind of dumbass uber drivers.

Found out she tried out scandallo too. Monique, and she is a 10/10 if she is in Scandallo. Had a good time. So. Tried asking a few from barra as to what is price for whole night, quoted me 3 k, countered with 1.5 k, they say no thank you. If I were to do this in SP, I would have gotten a few agreements. Even in Scandallo when I ask how much they want for it, 3 of them will say 2 k but will agree to 1200 to 1500,5 of them would just give me a number that is max I would have paid 1500. Bomboa, cafe foto its easier to get 800 to 1 k pernoite.

Strange Rio and SP price is backwards, as in more in SP will agree to my price, in Rio less will agree to what I want.

So I'm going to compare the places I've been to in Rio VS SP, the environment, the ladies, and the ratings.

Went to 4 x 4 , Monte Carlo, Dolce Vita, Kalabria, Solarium, Mosaico, perola negra.

I rate Scandallo 10/10, Bomboa 8/10, Cafe foto 9/10, Casarao 6/10.

4 x 4- if compared to only in Rio, this is the best one in terms of girls that I would rate at least an 8 . Saw 2 that I would go out with on a Friday. Environment, I give it a 7 being its too small, tiny, everyone seemed squished. Ok music, just like a tiny disco with seating. Compared to bomboa, bomboa is bigger.

Few of them ladies can be Scandallo caliber. Spoke to 1 of them, who had worked in Scandallo before. Did not partake in anything, wanted to see if I can find better, what silliness am I thinking. Wished I got their numbers to meet outside.

So, ambiance compared to Scandallo, 4 x 4 ,5/10, scandallo 10/10, Bomboa 8/10, Cafe Foto 8/10.

Ladies, similar to Bomboa, Cafe foto, perhaps Scandallo level on good days. Every girls are in bikinis or in lingerie being its a termas. 4 x 4, 8/10 Bomboa 7.5/10, Cafe foto 8/10, yea I find 4 x 4 girls has more prettier girls than bomboa.

Monte Carlo- on a Saturday, was bad, only few ladies, all ugly. Not fair to give any rating since I'm there on a bad day. Just used sauna and left. The only lady is best looking is the receptionist lady, she is a 8 in that whole termas, 8 in that termas don't mean I will take them out with me either.

Solarium-pretty nice place, slightly bigger than 4 x 4, better facilities, still at peak, people has nowhere to stand and have to stand at the end of the staircase. Saw few doable ones. All the termas I been too, those asses do look very good, big and fit, which I liked, but I emphasize more on the looks. Talk to few of them, and one very tall morena. Did not have a good vibe with her, but she do look good. She kinda like did not want to have a conversation with me, and ask me if I want to namorada, to do it. I told her I'm not interested in doing here, and she said ok that's fine. A girl quoted me 2000 reais to meet outside for the whole night, did not bargain as I don't really like how she looks on closeup, and her voice, hoarsly. Her body is 10/10 though. Would have tried to start from 800 if I really wanted to, with 1500 max, being a Saturday. Music sucks, Sauna too hot. Left 1 hour before close. Solarium 8.5/10 vs 7.5/10 Bomboa, 10/10 Scandallo. Lookwise many of them can be working in Scandallo, and some had worked there but did not like it. I would come back.

Dolce Vita night club. Entrance 50 RS. Loud music, party atmosphere, the DJ sucks, look and quality wise, they are Casarao caliber, maybe a little lower than casarao. Only saw 1 acceptable looking girl.

Ambience-- Casarao wins. Compared to bomboa, cafe foto, scandallo, they have 10 times better music, DJ, singers, and more lively party atmosphere. Smoke are everywhere. Went back and my jeans and clothes smell like heavy cigarettes. Ratings are same with kalabria.

Mosaico--very shady part of town, first time going there in uber myself, uber driver had to tell the police car parked there to do a contra mal. That guy was scared. That street was that bad on the first look. Guy was dancing in front of the uber car like deer seeing a headlight. Uber driver introduced me to Kalabria. Met with Dandyman, decide to try mosaico again with him, this time the place cleared up, looks quite different from before, entrance 30 RS, girls quality, worse than casarao.

Perola Negra- not a good day for comparison, but place do look nice, would say the size of half of cafe foto. Looks more upscale being its in a richer area. Not too many girls, thought 1 was good looking, but she is actually a older lady, maybe 35 or so. Ambiance do look nice, I would spend time here again if I ever came back.

So my trip ended not on a high note, but on a horny and disappointing end of the trip. I should give Rio another chance. Was supposed to come here with a girl I met in SP, but she said she couldn't after confirming with her.

I arrived into Rio at SDH with my last day in SP the night before not ending that well, hoping I can end it on a great note or at least have a good time here.

Called an uber, I always used comfort or black from this trip on since X almost usually cancels. The first one asked me where I'm going, being that I already put the address in the uber app destination. Told him Leblon. First one got cancelled. 2nd one accepted, asked me where I'm going while I'm on the way to the Uber meeting point, again the full address is already there, told him leblon, and he did a? So I said leblon again.

On pickup, he told me to put my hand luggage in the front seat. Seemed strange at first, but I let it go. In the car, I realized there is a difference between the Uber address and google map address of Sheraton Rio, but both are correct being 121 Avenieda Niemeyer, just that the one on uber is few 100 meters away, which I found out later was the old address and no longer valid. Changed it to the correct one in the uber. Ubermensch saw it, ask me did I just changed address? Told him yes, but its the same location, just the correct address shown on google. He then told me there is a price difference, and he did not sound happy about it. I told him, its the same address, but this time with the name of the hotel on the uber app, being it my first time in Rio, I had no idea which one is correct either.

He got frustrated and told me there is a change of price. I said ok. After a few moment while on the way through somewhere I'm not familiar with, he then asked me in Portuguese, so? What shall we do now?/ what are we going to do now? I, already felt a little stressed out by his attitude, felt more in danger than before, like I'm about to be brought somewhere to get robbed etc.

Then again, I was pissed off, no way this ubermensch is going to try to screw with me like I'm a new tourist. I've been to Brazil for many years for gods sake.

The only way to appease him is to tell him, ok, ill pay you the difference once we get there.

About 10-15 minutes on the road, he then asked me, how am I going to pay him? I just ignored that ubermensch, which now at this point he thinks he has an upper hand, what a gutsy ubermensch.

Realised I ignored him, he asked again in a few minute, senhor! Eu te fiz uma pergunta. I asked, que? He wanted to know how am I going to pay. Answered him, via uber app. Went through a street, and he honked on a few location looking outside, maybe at someone he knows that I couldn't see. I was thinking. What is going on here, then at a traffic light, he honked again, talking to this garbage collector guy, can't really make out what are they saying, but it was quick words.

At this point, I'm already uneasy, pissed, and worried, I should have told him to stop me and let me get down. Once arrived at the hotel, I got down of the car, try to get my luggage from the front, and he did not let me open it, and pointed to his phone uber app, and say, so what now? All these conversations are in portuguese, none in English. I told him I don't know what you just said, now let me get my bag, at this point I'm not longer afraid being that, there are securities close by. Now the only feeling left is I'm pissed. At last he lets me open the front door, take out my luggage, which is locked with a TSA lock. Then before closing the front door, I told this ubermensch who thinks he is very high up in the sky now. To basically go suck his own donkey dick. Told him if he is not happy about this, not feeling good about it, call the police and deal with it, slam the door and walked off. And also shouted him a Uber bandido. He shouted something which I couldn't hear, was at the check in counter and saw his car still there for a few, then he was gone after.

I've been to so many cities, POA, Floripa, SP, Recife, Pernambucco etc, and have not met people like this, first time in Rio, which did not gave me a good impression and gave me a bad feeling about this place.

And hell to the no I was never going to pay him the difference, I was just trying to delay him till I get to a safe spot, which is the hotel, I had many other opportunities to stop too.

I reported him to Uber, on the safety link, and said he threathened me, and I did not feel safe, like the situation I described. Told this to the personal check in agent too, which he completely agrees with me, that he should go deal with uber and not me. About 30 minutes after or so, got a call, but couldn't answer. Then got an email from uber, saying they will investigate this, and I am refunded in full. That night, got another email, saying that they will continue to investigate this, and the driver has been dealt with. Today his profile is not available anymore when I go take a look. Must have been suspended. Good for him. Now he is Untermensch for messing with the wrong person he thinks is a new tourist in Brasil.
