Apply for a retirement visa. That'll get you CPF and RNE. Then find an apartment you like through QAndar. They have some insurance solutions instead of co-signers. VivaReal is also a good site. But. Rentals are in big demand right now, it's not easy.

Consider buying if you have the cash. Prices, especially when priced in USD are at generational lows. You get a Big Bang for your buck. But you need to pay cash, mortgage financing in Brazil is almost impossible for a foreigner.

Thanks for taking the time to write back. Retirement visa won't work for me because I am 43 years old and from what I've read you have to be at least 60. That's why my plan was to go on a student visa and change over to an investor visa. I have a lot of assets but the time I pay for my investor visa and want to create more investment cash flow I really don't have two or 300,000 USD to actually buy a condo outright without having enough reserves in the bank to feel comfortable probably in four or five years but not right now. A guy I rented an Airbnb from told me about that first site you had mentioned but even when I emailed them it seemed like a huge paying and still no guarantee probably because I'm really not at retirement age and will not have a job. I'm just so disappointed because I love Rio iand the beaches I really felt at home there for about eight months straight I study Portuguese two hours a day. Four weeks from today I leave to Thailand for about 3 1/2 weeks to check that out again I might very well end up there instead you just pay for a five year visa it's not cheap but it gets rid of all the red tape and renting an apartment as a simple signing a lease. I guess you could say everything there is more user-friendly for an outsider. Not going to lie I love the Brazilian women and retiring in my early 40's I definitely met lots of beautiful Brazilians that we're not even working girls although if you search my posts you'll see my story I had about one. On a side note, I walked thru Centro in the afternoon with my suitcase and backpack dressed in a pair of safari pants and a regular t-shirt. Nothing with any Brazil sports team or fire fighter or lifeguard patches. Didn't carry stun / flashlight combo and no hidden knives in my belt. Spoke my Texan Portuguese and Spanish mix so didn't need to take out my phone to use the translator app in the club. Exiting the club, I just grabbed a taxi who was waiting downstairs and came to the hotel.

Went to Termas Monte Carlo last night. Got there around 7 pm. Never saw the place so quiet, as in customers. Only me and 1 other guy. Around 17 or 18 girls on duty, and 5 or 6 of them very doable. Had a bit of a later start today. I went to Onix in the afternoon. Got to the area around 3 pm but it took me 30+ minutes wandering around in the rain with my umbrella trying to find the place. I didn't realise I had to register with the reception to get a card for the lift. There were only 4 or 5 girls available and I only found one of them attractive. A very thick branca. I would have done 1 hour but she was only available for 30 minutes. She was really awesome and good fun, she kept sucking my dick for 5+ minutes after I came.

After that I headed to 116 to check it out. The entrance has no sign, no doorman or anything so I wasn't sure I was at the right place. Yes the room was dirty, especially the floor, but it's only are $170 for 1 hour with a girl. There were a few hidden gems here. At least one or two that I think would be 4 x4 standard. The place definitely has a different vibe to 4 x4, 116 feels more raw / local. I sessioned a cute black girl here for 1 hour. We had a good connection and I honestly forgot about the surroundings and just enjoyed being in the moment with her. One thing I like about this place is it seems like the girls are more into the music, so they're shaking their asses and dancing more than in 4 x4 where the vibe seemed more calm in the bar.

I'd recommend 116 for guys that want a bit more adventure and the potential to find a hidden gem for a very cheap rate but be prepared for the room to be dirty.
