I am planning a trip soon to Rio after few years. It seems that Sunday options have died down. My ticket option shows a quick connecting time on Sunday at Sao Paulo connecting flight. Just got back from 2 weeks in Brazil, 1 week in Sao Paulo (business) and 1 week in Rio (fun). I have T-mobile (was Sprint) and I purchased the high speed pass. Worked great, no throttling. In fact, sometimes worked better than the spotty WiFi in the Rio JW Marriott.

On a side note, the rooftop on the JW Marriott is closed until at least mid-August for renovations. The fitness center is open but the rooftop lounge and pool are closed. Taking a peak at the construction through the cracks in the door, I think mid-August is VERY optimistic.

Overall, how did you like the JW Marriott?
