Question to the guys that Uber to all the Termas. Does Uber recognize the name of the terma when I type it in or will I need the exact address. Can I just type in Terma New York Terma solarium terma 65. BTW, is that Terma airport still around. Is Luomo back open under a different name.

Just type in the correct name and it should come up. Termas aeroporto is gone as well as luomo. When is your trip to Rio?

JW is girl / guest friendly and no they do not charge extra for visitors.

It's been mentioned in the past JW Marriott, Hilton, Pestana and Porto Bay are hobby friendly.

Then you'll find that the PA site has been discussed here at length, and while it has a great interface, it's just an advertising site where people are free to post and say whatever they want. You would also find that while Hilton is not bad, it's not GF, so you might want to consider JW Marriott, which is in the same class (a little underwhelming) and price range. Seriously, if you're planning a trip, you'll benefit greatly from reading the last 30 pages or so, especially since you haven't been to Rio for a long time. Good luck!

As some of you whom I have met know, I disappear when I am not "in country" - I like to keep things separate. But of course, every once in a while I like to check in. I'm glad to see that the guide I wrote last summer has been helpful for new travelers. It warmed my heart to see it made it to the reports of distinction.

This is a WARNO (I see you vagabundo) that I will return to the land of beautiful bundas this coming summer for another month or so. I was planning on visiting in a couple weeks but flight costs don't align with my schedule. I'll be heading to Colombia instead since my vacation last year was cut short due to the mayor of Bogota deciding it was appropriate to send the city into a martial law style lockdown on short notice..

It's several years (more then ten) I miss from Brazil. I've seen the situation has changed, was used to Help and Meia Pataca. I know how to get girls, but at the moment I do not know how the hotels are: I mean if they are girl friendly.

In the past I used to stay at Othon Olinda (a small hotel in the middle of Copacabana, good but not luxurious). Now it has changed chain, and I would like to go to some big and better one. I thought about Rio Othon and Hilton. Any suggestion? Are they girl friendly? Anybody knows.

I stayed at the Pestana 3 weeks ago and had no issues bringing ladies back to the room. It has a popular rooftop party on Friday nights and the elevators are painstakingly slow during the event because of all the traffic going and coming from upstairs, other than that I had no issues. There's a Lab for the covid test returning to the US at 605 NS Copacabana Rm 410 within walking distance and you get the results on the web within 2 hours.

I was in town 3 weeks ago and I stayed at the Pestana. I had no issues bringing guests in, the reception desk called my room to ask if they could let a girl from barravip come upstairs. However it has a popular rooftop party on Friday night and the elevators are painstakingly slow during the event because of the crowds going and leaving the soiree. Forget about Copa.

Go to Botafogo or Barra. IBIS is always good for a first time hotel.

Botafogo is the best neighborhood in Rio. On the metro, easy to get to Centro termas and prives, which is the best value for money, but none of the sex tourist bubble (metro stops siqueira campos to General Osorio) crime risk. But it is a 10 minute metro ride (4 reais) from Copa if you want to link up with other mongers. In botafogo, I recommend joining the botafogo clube with a good swimming pool, and a great spot to meet women.

Forget about the Rio Othon, take a look at the hotel Porto Bay, good location and girl friendly.
