My boarding time is 2 pm for first flight and my Covid test is 3:50 pm 3 days prior. That gives me a 70 hour difference, but when my connecting flight from Texas leaves it will be over 72 hours. Anyone know for sure how this will work.

It's 72 hours before your first flight, if both legs are on the same ticket.

It is 72 hours from your FIRST point of departure. My example is as follows from my last flight:

Flight scheduled to depart from my city on Tuesday to DFW at 747 am while the actual flight to GIG leaves at 8 pm from MIA. I took my PCR test on Saturday at 10 am which is under the 72 HR rule from the FIRST point of departure.

You can also do a 24 HR antigen test just to be sure.

SP is a financial center, as senor anaggie points out, and the cost structure is higher, it is true. Fair enough. But here in Rio, where the default wealth level is 400 reais a month from bolsa famila, there are top end talent as good as SP, there are most importantly, lots of diamonds in the rough, and in the middle for the smart and disciplined market maker, there are upwardly mobile carioca hoars who want to be tier 1 terma talent and ask 1500 a night but who need 300 to make their next rent of 650 on the little love shack apartment they have in zona norte.

If it's the same airline like American Airlines for example it goes by the time of your first leg. But you should check the airline website, the information is there. For Rio you don't really need a pcr test because they're problematic with the timing, why don't you get a backup antigen test right before you leave. It looks like you'll be ok but it's tight.
